Customers appreciate the Matrix Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum's excellent cleaning capabilities, accurate mapping, and ease of use. Many praise its strong suction, self-emptying feature, and smooth navigation, making it a convenient and effective cleaning solution. However, some users note that the vacuum can be loud and that the dustbin may require more frequent emptying than expected. While the app has received some criticism for being difficult to use, the overall positive feedback highlights the vacuum's performance and helpful features.

It is a very efficient device. Maps the house perfectly. Cleans the house very well and gets pretty much everything even the corners and can get under couches and bed frames (obviously with enough clearance). Really wonderful product. The self emptying feature is also a life saver. I would highly recommend this product. I also didn't have any issues with it getting stuck or with the app. Everything so far is awesome.

So easy to set up and use. This was a replacement for another (more expensive) brand. I spent weeks trying to ge the other brand to map and clean my house. This one did it on the first try.

Good price, caught the vacuum on sale and with rewards, paid half or less half of retail price Good vacuum, maps the home and cleans all the spaces. Great for in between normal vacuuming. Cleans up pet hair, crumbs, and other daily items. Easy to empty and clean filters.

We came from a Dyson hand held vacuum, so we knew virtually nothing about robo vacuums. We'd done enough research to know we wanted bagless, self emptying and lidar. For us the priority was convenience and ease of use. This needed to basically run itself and empty itself. The only time I really need to interact with it is to empty the bin which isn't often 30-60 days depending. A buddy of mine has been using robot vacuums for over 5 years, and everything he was qualifying me for I'd found in this vacuum before consulting him. He'd had a bad experience with Shark 4 or 5 years ago, so he was skeptical. That said, our vacuum has really surprised us. It's worth the money to us, but it was $200 off when we purchased it, and the insurance from the Dyson made it no money out of pocket except for the insurance. The only thing I'll say that keeps it from being perfect is I notice matrix clean or spot clean where it focuses on a spot is sometimes the only way it will pick up everything, like even small pieces of tissue. Also it doesn't seem to pick up clumps of hair at all. Between our cat and my wife, those are persistent. So I do find myself behind it for small resistance forces, but it mostly gets the job done. I recommend some form of insurance. Yes it's half the cost of the item, but when it does wear out, you don't want to shell out the entirety of a whole new vacuum either.

After having this robot vacuum for little over 2 months now, it has been extremely helpful keeping the house clean! It picks up everything that is on the floor without an issue and the mapping and obstacle avoidance is top notch!

TL;DR, Surviving fine with two Golden Retrievers

I have two golden retrievers and hard floors (with a couple kitchen mats) throughout the apartment. So far the vacuum is holding up great! I run the vacuum once a day to maintain the hair and empty the dock every couple of days to avoid over stuffing it. I could probably get away with longer periods of time, but its easy to empty so why not.
I have had hair wrap around the center roller and the edge brush twice (not enough to hinder performance, I just frequently check) but it is extremely easy to disassemble and reassemble those parts for a quick clean.
It transitions from the hard floor to floor mats or a rug with minimal issues (although, ours likes to try to climb the slanted legs of the dining table sometimes so the power is there but it might also depend on the friction between your rug and the floor).
Volume wise, I wouldn't describe it as quiet, but its quieter than my cordless Dyson. You can still speak over it, but it sounds like a little hand vacuum rolling around on a skateboard. I'm not sure how other robot vacuums sound, but it definitely can't sneak up on you when it roams around. It will also occasionally bump into skinny things like chair legs or objects below its sensor like dog bowls, and will push things it can't see around if the object is light enough. When the robot docks and empties itself, it gets significantly noisier for a few seconds before finishing so I wouldn't recommend running it while trying to sleep.
I think the app is perfectly fine as someone who has not had experience with any other robot vacuums.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and if you catch it on sale at a price you like, I highly reccomend it!

I have two dogs that leave hair everywhere, and I bought this vacuum as a second machine to deal with the hair left on the floors. It also replaces an older Shark that finally wore out after several years. They do an excellent job covering my house and only need my attention to empty the bin when full and when it sucks up something large left on the floor. My only knock is that they are kinda loud right out of the box, but the sounds will die down when they get broken in.

What an amazing product! Set up was easy and quick. I have it set to run every other day and keeps my floor so clean. And the options it gives you. You can direct a spot or room. As I travel a lot, it updates me reports after cleaning. So glad I purchased this product.

Love it! Super easy to us and it transitions very smoothly from plank flooring to carpet. I love how it even leaves lines on the carpet for a fresh carpet clean look. Highly recommend. I have two German Shepard and a toddler and have had no issues with the hair load or avoiding obstacles left behind by the baby.

I waited a little while to write this review. The vacuum was a great gift for my wife, and she seems to like it a lot. According to her the set-up wasn't too bad and she likes the way it performs. My online fed back is it's a little loud but hey that's being nitpicky.

We love our new Shark. We had a bob before and they are almost completely different, in great ways. This really maps out rooms and areas. You can see the completed map in the app afterwards. I have not tried without the app, not sure if you can use it that way except just to push the power button. It cleans and returns when full to empty then goes back out to work. We have a black lab s so have a large amount of hair, besides our own.We have not had any issue with long hair wrapped around the beater bar - at all, never and we both have hair past our shoulders. This vac is just awesome. Like most reviews mention, it is loud when emptying but it IS emptying all the dirt and hair. We tried it first time after vacuuming with out Shark vacs ( that also do an awesome job) and it actually got 2 bins full of dirt. For reference- we have a 1560 house and do auto clean on at least 1400 of it.- but didn't have to do the emptying!

I bought this vacuum specifically for my downstairs hardwood floors, since I already use an iRobot Roomba j7+ upstairs. While it doesn’t have a camera for object detection, it works really well in this space. In fact, I actually prefer the Shark app over Roomba’s—it’s cleaner and more intuitive.
Performance-wise, it impresses. It gets stuck far less often than my Roomba (despite the Roomba having a camera), and it can run just fine in the dark—something my Roomba struggles with. I also love that it’s bagless, so there’s no extra expense for replacement bags.
If you can grab it around $300, it’s a solid buy. At the full $500 MSRP, though, I don’t think it’s worth it.

With all the different opinions on these vacuums, I was unsure about getting one, but im glad i did. Setup was easy, it mapped my house and picks up with no problems. I love that it empties itself. Now it says that it has a 30 day capacity before you have to empty the bin, but that depends on how dirty your house is. So you may have to empty it more often.

I'm a major fan of Shark vacuums. I am currently using my 3rd upright & couldn't love it more. But I've always been leery of the robot vac...even from Shark. I heard horror stories from friends & family. And it seemed the robots were way too pricey for what you get. Then Best Buy put the Shark Matrix 30-day self empty model on sale.
The price was so good & it was a Shark so I bit. And I'm so glad I did. There are 6 people & 2 dogs in my home. The amount of dust, dirt, dog hair, & people hair generated by us is unbelievable. And we just couldn't get ahead of it. Enter Mazie, the Shark!
I am so happy with this purchase. The vac works very well. The mapping function was easy & quick. Scheduling was a breeze & Mazie executes it flawlessly. I get notifications if she runs into trouble. I can do real time spot vacuuming if needed. All in all, a great product. Get your own Mazie....you won't be sorry.

Maybe 15 years ago had a Roomba robot vacuum. At the time we had a dog who shed like crazy and most the time the vacuum got clogged up with dog hair. So was turned off to robot vacuums for number of years. Recently this unit came up on sale from BB and no longer have that same dog, RIP Macy, figured give it another try. Very impressed with this unit. Set-up is easy and the app walks you through the steps. Been using this for about a month. My house is roughly 1900 square feet so I do not run the entire house in one go. The robot can run for an hour then needs to recharge. However, the app does let you map your house then divide up the map into rooms. So, simply set schedule to do couple rooms certain days the week and run the others opposite days. Noise-level...am not put off by noise Leven the robot, yes of course it is not whisper quiet but is fine. When the on-board collection is full or when a cycle is completed the robot returns to the base and empties. This is a bit of noise but is very quick and not a biggie. Overall am impressed and happy with the purchase. I did buy this on sale at 50% off so I would not have paid full price, I do recommend this unit with one exception -- I no longer have any pets so I cannot speak to it picking up pet hair. However, I do live in Arizona where no matter what you do get dust in the house more than other places have lived. This does a great job and am happy with the purchase.
--Side note, the app lets you name the robot and suggests fun names like Steve McClean...love this detail!

Working great so far. It is a little loud but keeps the house feeling fresh. You still need to maintain your cleaning of course but a great helper. So far it has not gotten stuck even with different types of floors. I like that it empties out on its own but it is loud.

Purchased this for our house to help my wife with daily maintenance. We have 3 children and the floors are a constant battle. We are a bit of a clean freak and really appreciate clean floors. Bob, the vacuum does a really good job getting into the nooks and crannies of our house. It fits under tables that are a pain to reach with a conventional vacuum and also gets under furniture like sideboards that would not normally get cleaned. Overall very happy with our purchase. Easy to setup as well. Only thing I had to do was to put out wireless router in a legacy mode so the Shark could connect. Once connected, sent it off to explore and it mapped the entire house in about 30 minutes. I like the spot clean option where I can send Bob to a specific zone to vacuum if there is a known mess and don’t want him to clean the whole house or room. Now we are looking into getting the mopping model. Definitely recommend.
