This is my second Shark Vacuum. Shark is the only vacuum I will ever buy, I have 4 cats which are all long hair, this vacuum picks everything on the first swipe. It is lightweight and so easy to just unsnap to do stairs. I love the new tool with this model that lets you get under furniture. The only thing I disagree with is in the description it states self propelled, it is NOT self propelled.I bought on sale so got a great deal.

Quite a powerful vacuum, and versatile with the lift-away canister. We have low-profile rugs and hardwood floors, and had to open the relief valve most of the way just to move across the rug. The roller does a great job with agitating the pile and cleans very well. We were a little confused with the upholstery brush and thought it was for the stairs (it would probably work there too). Accessory storage is good as well.

I feel like I got an upgrade compared to my Eureka I had for many years. This is very light, very quiet, and easy to maneuver. I’m very happy with this purchase! I normally don’t spend this kind of money on a vacuum. I know a lot spend hundreds more but I felt like this was a good price for the quality. I have pets and dust allergies so vacuum is a must in my household

The Shark is amazing! Our old vacuum was a dyson and this just out performs it. This thing could suck grass off dirt!

Excellent suction. Smaller base makes it easier to get into corners. Lightweight. Snap together assembly. Cleans better, more easily, and is half as loud as my Hoover pet vac. Move over, Hoover. I really dislike the curved handle that all Sharks have; difficult to maneuver.

I have used Dyson and cheaper vacuums and the Shark professional is my favorite for the money. I like the liftaway feature and the tools. The suction is amazing and it is easy to push. The power cord isn't that long but not enough to take away a point from my review. Best Buy honored their online price in the store which was different so I got an even better deal. Just ask them to price match.

This vacuum is a beast. The price didn’t kill us and works way better than a much more expensive different brand we had that gave us nothing but trouble. This is functional for regular catered space as well as to use the attachments to do steps or get into the corners of areas. Very pleased with this purchase.

This was a replacement for another vacuum. I was looking for something that was lighter, and easier to push over the large area rugs. This vacuum more than met my expectations. The suction is great, and easy to adjust. The light weight makes it easy to push over my large area rugs, much more so than my old one. Emptying the canister is very easy, and it snaps back into place with no problems.

All of us are all always saying that we cannot understand why, in this age of massive technological advancement, we can't find machines that are made well and make sense. Form, function, durability. We KNOW these are within our grasp. Yet, I believe that, when designing this newer model of Shark Navigator, the team of engineers and designers sat around a table and said, "How can we make this WORSE than it was?" And they did. 1. "Let's shorten the cord, so it can't cover the entire 750 sq. level of a house...like it used to." 2. "Let's make the hose short AND tight, so it breaks the user's back (I have a Siberian Husky, so I use the hose a lot. And I'm 5'2, so almost any length of hose should not be a problem). 3. "Let's make the head narrower than the before, so it can't cover as much ground at a time as it used it." 4. "Let's make the nozzle fatter so it can't easily fit under furniture that it used to AND let's place the (2 only - not even a brush head) attachments in such a place that the nozzle REALLY can't get under anything" -- oh my gosh, this is one so annoying. 5. "Let's make it so there's no easy way to grasp the nozzle to remove it from the base, when it was an easy one-touch process previously." It hurts my hand every time I remove it (during the multiple times per cleaning: Siberian Husky). 6. "Let's also make removal of the canister complicated and require 2 hands to do it, rather than the one-handed easy removal of the past...AND how about make it so that large clumps of Husky hair get wedged in the very ill-designed canister, so the user needs to reach into that mess and pull it out E V E R Y T I M E she empties the canister?" 7. "Then, once it's emptied and she goes to put it back on the machine, she'll love it when she sees dust all over the outside rim!" See? Better! I can give this vacuum one single half-compliment. Suction is good. So good, that a thin rug that my previous vacuum ran over effectively and with no problem, now gets sucked up and causes the brush roll to stop. So I can only vacuum in the forward direction on this rug, and pick up the vacuum and place it back on the rug to do the next swipe. Sheesh. As for Best Buy's policies...a return policy is a return policy. But because I bought this vacuum during the Christmas season and was too busy to vacuum and had my daughter do it, I did not realize until yesterday, ONE day past the return-by date, that this vacuum was a complete waste of money. Many retailers extend their Christmastime return-by dates, but not this one. I am stuck with a vacuum that shouldn't have made it to market. I suggest you continue your vacuum search elsewhere.

      Hi David,

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum. We’re truly sorry to hear that this model hasn’t met your expectations and that it’s caused frustration in several areas, from the design changes to usability challenges. Your thorough review highlights important areas where we can improve, and we deeply value your input.

Your concerns about the shorter cord, hose length, attachment placement, and the changes to the canister design have been noted, and we will ensure they’re shared with our product development team for consideration in future models. We also recognize how challenging it must be to manage these issues in a home with a Siberian Husky, where performance and efficiency are crucial.

While we’re glad to hear the vacuum’s suction is performing well, we regret that this feature has also presented challenges with certain rugs. If you’re open to exploring options to make your vacuuming experience more manageable—whether through troubleshooting, tips for usage, or discussing other Shark models better suited for your needs—please don’t hesitate to contact us at 1-855-427-5127. Our team would love to assist you further.

We’re committed to ensuring your satisfaction and sincerely apologize that this experience fell short. Thank you for your honest feedback, and we hope we can support you in finding a better solution.

      Kind regards,
      Shark Clean

The Shark Navigator is lightweight and because it is smaller than the normal vac is easy to manuver and handle. It is very versitile and has good suction. It is perfect for me as I have a back problem. The dirt holding cup is easy to empty, filters easy to clean. If you have a large open room(s), this would be too small for the job. I am left handed and as usual it is a pain to handle the cord, the only drawback.

I really hadn't used the new vacuum until just recently and I couldn't believe how much soil it could lift. I have a Kirby vacuum that has different levels you can vacuum with and has a control to make it easy to vacuum and bags can be changed. We bought this vacuum to use downstairs so I didn't have to carry the Kirby up and down. For being a reasonably priced tool I am so happy in it's performance.
