Ok vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have a dyson v 10 animal. Because it was a charging model I wanted something with electric power in case the battery died on the dyson. The shark is ok in a pinch but it does not pick up hair really well as we have 2 huskies. The dyson picks up much better!

Perfect for apartment living/cats
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well everyone knows that living with cats you need a good vacuum cleaner and I have gone through alot. I wont mention the name but a competitor whose vacuums costs a lot did not work for us at all as the filter seemed to get always full and then you had to wait 24 hours after cleaning it before you can use the vacuum again. Not a problem anymore with this Shark Pet Pro Zu62! Best thing about it is how strong it is, and how easy to use especially when cleaning stairs. Love the flexibility of this vacuum cleaner. Easy to use easy to clean and perfect for a house with lots of cat hair (problem with owning a long haired city lol)... I still like to empty it after a couple of cleanings to not allow hair/debri in the canister but it can hold alot if you prefer to not do it everytime. Noise level is about what you would expect, nothing that will wake up the apartment neighbors but enough to make my kitties scatter! Shark is an excellent brand and this vacuum is awesome.

Is not good
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this vacuum because it was for pet hair, has self-cleaning brushes, and a large container. I have 2 huskies so my small 2 bedroom apartment is filled with dog hair. After using it for the first time, the brushes were so filled with hair that they stopped picking anything else up, so the self-cleaning brushroll function does not work. While the container is large, everything has to pass through a teeny tiny container inside it, and so things like dog hair get stuck in there, making me have to empty it twice just for my living room. So it's not good for pet hair, it doesn't self-clean the brush, and the large container can't even be used. This was such a waste of money, I will be returning. I've had it for 6 months and it has just gotten worse. Also, it's very heavy so it isn't good for stairs and it does not turn easily at all. So disappointing!

Doggy Hair
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It would be nice if the vacuum automatically self adjusted to different floor types that can be on one room example carpets/wood floor instead of operator having to flip the switch

Another Winner From Shark
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shark Vacuum What’s in the box ————————— * Shark Navigator Pet Pro ZU62 * Dusting brush * upholstery tool * Extension hose * Duster crevice tool * Zero-M cleaner head Pros —— 1. Amazing self cleaning brush 2. Excellent 5 year warranty 3. Superior suction 4. 12 ft chord for cleaning hard to reach places and stair 5. Lightweight , only 16 lbs Cons —— 1. Place to hookup all the tools. I can only hookup only 2 of them, Review ——— SETUP Setup is easy, no need for any screws, everything clicks into place. There is a quick start guide and using that you can help yourself setting this up. USAGE The vacuum has 2 settings one for hardwood and one for carpet. Most people who are thinking that the suction is too much on the carpet are not adjusting it to the right setting. There is also a dial for setting the suction power. I do not have any pets but I think this is a good vacuum for anyone. I typically buy the one meant for pets because we loose a plenty of hair ourselves and this vacuum does a great job in picking up hair. I have an older model Shark lift away vacuum and I need to constantly cut the hair from the roller. I do not have to do that with this zero-M roller because it does by itself. Navigation with the vacuum is also very easy because of 2 things. This is light weight and also, it swivels so much so that I can reach under the sofa and move around the corners wit ease. The vacuum also has a 12 ft hose for reaching the cobwebs on the ceiling and also going up and down the stairs. I have always been pleased with the shark vacuums with their suction. I have a 3 year old and still functions like new. They never lose suction. The canister is also much bigger than my older shark vacuum. I can clean a 3000 sqft house with a mix of hardwood and carpet floor with one go and then clean the canister at the end. CLEANING The cleaning is easy, there is a post and pre-motor filters which will require cleaning . Pre-motor sits below the canister and it requires cleaning every 3 months and the one on the front will require cleaning every year. Taking out the filters is also easy by clicking the latches. Overall I highly recommend the vacuum and it will serve for years to come.

It is a little heavy for carrying up stairs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is effective as far as cleaning, however I find it too heavy to easily carry up and down stairs. I was looking for a lighter vacuum and asked this question at purchase, however with curbside pickup I could not try out.

Broke after 6 uses
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned it for less than 6 weeks and the roller stopped turning. I turned it over to remove the screws to try and see what was wrong with it. But I could only remove 2o f the 3. The 3rd one does not turn, it stays locked. I can only remove the plate if I break it. It did have great suction. But to only get to use it about 6 times before it breaks???!!

Great at collecting hair and dander
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup: First, thank you Shark for using cardboard inserts as packing material. It makes 90% of the packaging recyclable in my area. Unpacking and setup are super easy. Just be sure to read the quick start instructions. There are also several spots secured by tape. Be sure to pull these before using the vacuum. There is also useful information on the tape. All but two of the attachments can be stored on the unit. Operation: This is my fourth Shark Vacuum. Every one of them have enjoyed long life with my family. But every vacuum cleaner eventually runs it course and needs replacing. This time around we chose the Shark Navigator Pet Pro ZU62. I have two bunnies and a cat. Bunnies are the worst when it comes to shedding. It never stops! We also have multiple rugs that require regular vacuuming to keep the hair and dander under control. This vacuum does an excellent job at collecting all that pesky hair! My last shark had the fabric roller on the front as well as the hair collector. This one does not have the fabric roller. I was wary when getting this thinking that the fabric roller is the magic to Shark vacuums. I was right and wrong. The fabric roller is magical. The ZU62 doesn’t need it. It still gives that same high-quality cleaning that I have come to expect from Shark. I enjoy the fact that the collection basket if three times the size of my old Shark. I appreciate the larger basket. It means that I must empty the basket less often. This is especially important during the winter months. I empty the basket on my sharks outside. The less frequently I must brave the harsh New England winter in my cleaning clothes the better. The vacuum is also lighter than previous Shark models. This is the first thing my wife commented on when she used it for the first time. The weight with the old Shark was the weight. She always had to use the unit in standup mode because the motor and collection basket was too heavy for her to walk around the house with. This made cleaning things like stairs and furniture difficult for her. Those tasks became my tasks. Another great feature of this vacuum is the longer accordion hose. The old vacuum had a very short hose. We normally found ourselves dragging the vacuum around with us when we used the detachable wand or an attachment with the handle. I realize that we can solve this problem by detaching the motor and collection basket. Then again, it was too heavy for that. I can now leave the vacuum in the upright position while vacuuming my couch, the bottom and top third of my stairs, and it is much easier to vacuum the ceiling cobwebs and behind the entertainment center. I have multiple surface types: hardwood floors, rugs, and tile. The hardwood floor setting does a great job on my hardwood flooring, tile, and Berber style rugs. Dirt, hay (yes, I said hay), and animal hair were removed easily from the flooring and rug using this setting. I used the rug setting on my deeper pile rugs in my living room and bedroom. Again, all the dirt simply vanished from the rug. I also have a home full of girls and women. They lose as much hair to brushing as the pets do to molting. Quite a bit of long hair was collected by this vacuum. I only see a few strands of long hair wrapped around the bristles after two weeks of usage. That is pretty good. I had to clean off the bristles of my old Shark every month or two due to hair, pieces of yarn, and even loose threads from our rugs getting wrapped around the bristles. I am not going to declare victory regarding Shark’s stated anti-tangle bristles. I have not owned the machine long enough to state that their no tangle technology works. I will say so far so good. Movement around my floor is just as easy and wonderful as my previous Sharks. Controlling the Navigator ZU62 is a bit easier due to the lighter weight material. My only criticism is that there are no LED lights on this model. Light casts shadows unevenly on a floor. It is sometimes difficult to see dirt under tables, chairs, and cabinets. My wife and I did debate if the LED lights were important enough to outweigh the advantages of the larger collection basket, lighter weight, and the longer accordion hose. We chose to go without the lights. We still miss the lights and hope that future models will include the feature. They do come in handy when cleaning under furniture and when cleaning poorly lit rooms. The only other con I found with this vacuum is the placement of the power button. Why did Shark move the power button, which also doubles as the floor type button, move it to the body of the vacuum from the handle. I preferred it on the handle. This may not be important to everyone. And a minor issue at best. Emptying the collection basket is still easy to do. Separating the body from the frame is still easy to do. All the parts disconnected at the snap of strategically located buttons. And they all reconnect with a snap that locks the parts in place. Super easy! Final thoughts: I like this vacuum cleaner. I think Shark did another amazing job with this model. The longer accordion hose, the lighter weight, and the larger collection basket out weight the positioning of the power button/floor type selection button and the lack of LED lights. This vacuum does an amazing job of cleaning animal hair, reducing tangles on the bristles, and with general cleaning of multiple floor types. If you have a lot of pets, or a furry friend who sheds a lot, then I encourage you to give this Shark a try.

Doesn't fit under furniture, dog hair clogs.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent months researching vacuum cleaners and thought that I was guaranteed to love this. It was easy to assemble but I did not find the suction to be as powerful as advertised. It doesn't fit under the bottom shelf of a bookcase whose bottom shelf is 8" above the floor. I had to bend over at waist to manage it and with my bad back of course I was stuck in that position until I could get to a wall to climb back up. It clogged with dog hair immediately and teeth did not untangle it. I am back to sweeping before I vacuume and with only tile floors it feels like a waste of money.

Depends
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave it a 3/5 because it just doesn’t have enough suctions for thick carpet. Addition is it’s top heavy so people with back problems it hurts. But on thin carpet and vinyl it’s did pretty good
