I have 2 cats, 1 being a persian long haired cat. We have minimal carpeting, just area rugs in a few rooms, but the hair builds up quick. Also on the hardwoods it just blows around annoyingly. Using a standard vacuum on the area rugs would pick up "most" of the hair, but never all of it. This Shark Pet Vacuum is a blessing. It was super easy to assemble. Took less than 10 minutes. But it is great at what it does. I ran this over our area rugs and it picked up ALL of the hair. The rugs look great. This vacuum also has 2 settings in 1 button. The power button pushes down once for "hardwood", then again all the way down for "carpet". All that really means is that it gives you alot more suction force for carpet, and less for bare floors. Not sure why you wouldn't just use the standard "force" all over? Perhaps to save electricity or wear and tear on the vacuum? Regardless, it also does an excellent job on the bare floors as well. Sucked up all the pet hair drifting around, and also any other dirt/crumbs. The vacuum is also surprisingly lightweight. I was able to lift it up and down stairs to vacuum pretty easily. Not much use yet with the attachments but it does have a really long hose that extends to reach hard places. The one thing im interested to see work is that the main vacuum part that sucks up all the dirt and hair supposedly has a "de-tangle" feature that is supposed to do what it says, detangle and clogs that form. If this works, that will be great. I have not used it enough to really have a good build up in that piece yet. Overall very recommended. Great Vacuum.

Nice vacuum, lightweight not heavy at all, very durable, long use.

I just found out I have COPD. So need this as my younger sister has a medium size dog. First I noticed was how large the bust bins are. Am disappointed in only a 25’ cord, My Shark Duo Clean has a 30’ one. So don’t know why they didn’t do a 30’ power cord on this pet vac. Brought it up to the second floor in Mother’s house. It’s not too heavy which is much appreciated. Helps for someone in my condition. I only saw one setting for carpets. Machine is self cleaning which is a must for a pet vac. 12' hose makes makes it easier to vacuum under a bed. Anti-Allergen Complete Seal is a comforting thing to know too. Nice to see that you can store two attachments on board. I would give this vac five stars if it wasn’t for the shorter power cord. Otherwise it looks like a fine machine if you need an upright pet vac.

I have been on the hunt for a replacement for my roller ball vacuum and the Shark ZU62 seemed like it would fit the bill. After receiving the unit, we were pleased with the setup process. The unit was easy to unbox and assemble, though not needed, a nice quick start guide was provided. There are 3 attachments that come with the unit. However, there are only two slots. Using the unit was pleasant for the most part. It performs well both our carpeted services as well as our hardwood. My wife is quite a bit smaller than I am, and found that maneuvering the vacuum was more difficult than she was used to. Adjusting the vacuum control helped compensate for this, but it did slightly degrade the performance. Pros: - Performs very well - Passed the cheerio and dog food test on both carpet and hardwood. - The long hose makes it easy to get to difficult to reach places. - The unit can tilt back almost all the way to the floor. This was very helpful in getting under furniture. - The bag-less canister is easier to use than other vacuums I have used Cons: - Only two storage spots for 3 attachments. - The device is a bit "top heavy" when tilting side to side. Overall this is a great vacuum that we are very pleased with.

...dirt that is...LOL It does what a vacuum should do, and it does it better than ones I've had before. And that's the best I can say. I don't like the way it moves like it has a mind of its own. It pivots in directions I don't always want it to go. When on the carpet it's hard to push. No headlights, aesthetically not the best vac to look at. Yeah, you guessed it, I'm really not that impressed.

The best vacuum I ever purchased! And lasted for 5 years. Wish I could purchase again!

This vacuum cleaner picks up dirt from the carpet that I didn’t even know was there. It did an Excellent job and really SUCKS. The only thing that I can’t figure out is where to hang the brush nozzle attachment on the unit whennnot in use. HELP

This vacuum is amazing! I have a Siberian Husky and it certainly was powerful enough to pick everything up and then some, I would highly recommend this vacuum to pet owners!

This comes mostly assembled out of the box. You only need to put the hoses in place, the handle in that snaps in place, and the attachments where they are supposed to go. But, you will have one left over as there are three attachments and only two places to put them. I thought for sure that it was a joke and I just didn't know where to put the straggling piece. It's not, and it's frustrating. The cord is longer than I have seen on any other vacuums I've owned which is really nice. But when it feels like it's barely working on the carpet, that cord length doesn't matter. I haven't had issues with hair getting wrapped up on the head. But I also don't think it's picking much up to begin with. The ergonomics of this unit feels off to me too. It's a bit top heavy due to the size of the extra large canister. It just feels awkward when using it.

Great vacuum for hairy pets! We have, a 85lb Golden and a 130lb Newfound. This vacuum works great and roller doesn’t get tangledup with hair.

Best vacuum ever especially if you if its not only pet hair you have to clean up.
