Vacuums great all over the house. When it’s full it goes back to the station and self empties. Worth every penny, and highly recommend a robot vacuum!

The Shark Navigator Robot Vacuum is a very good robot vacuum. Setup is pretty simple. After unpacking everything and plugging it in, you just download the app and follow the instructions to get everything set up. Before cleaning for the first time, the vacuum makes a map of your home. I made sure to move any obstacles and left all doors open, and my map came out pretty accurate. Once you have a map, you can do things like label rooms and create no-go zones. I really appreciated the latter feature, since I have this glider rocker in my room that always gives robot vacs a real tough time. It swivels and rocks when vacs bump up against it and if it moves just right, a vac can get it self wedged under it and in one case, scratch itself all up. So rather than crossing my fingers and hoping that wouldn't happen this time, I was able to just highlight the area where the chair is in that room and created a no-go zone, and it just completely avoided the chair of doom altogether. I really like the flexibility the app gives you to edit and label your map. I've had the vacuum for a little over a week now and I have done a few test runs and every time I have been thoroughly impressed with the results. The first run however, I was a bit surprised that it had to stop midway through the last room to go recharge. This is the first robot vac I've had that couldn't finish the job one a single charge. In subsequent runs, I cleaned less rooms, so I was never able to see if it would need to take a break every time I try to clean the whole house. I was really excited that this robot vac has a self-emptying base, because that is one thing I didn't like about my previous robot vacs. Emptying those bins can get gross, and tedious if you have to do it multiple times during a run. So I really like that it would stop and empty itself in the middle of a run, saving me some time and effort. However, I was a bit surprised that the bin in the base doesn't have a bag or anything of the sort and you just empty the dust and dirt directly into the trash, just as if I was emptying the bin directly from the vac. So while I appreciate that it empties itself into the base, it seems like including a bag in the base bin would've really knocked it out of the park. Now, when it comes to the actual performance of this vac, I was really impressed. The first run I did picked up a ton of dirt and hair, as I hadn't vacuumed in quite a while, partially in prep for getting this vac, lol. But even on my subsequent runs, I was still very impressed, and a bit disgusted, at how much dust and dirt it was still pulling out of my carpet. One last thing I want to mention, which is small, but a little frustrating, is that the app does not show a live map of where the vacuum is cleaning. I have gotten used to this type of feature with other vacs I've owned, and it's a great way for me to see what's been cleaned and what hasn't, and allows me to estimate how much longer is left. But with the Shark app, you just see the status, and that's it. No live updating map or anything. Even when the job is complete, you only get a map that shows an overall overview of what was cleaned. I like in other apps it gives you the cleaning path and even if there were obstacles. So I feel like their reporting in the app could use some updates. That aside, I am still really impressed with the overall performance of this robot vac. I would definitely recommend.

The Shark Navigator Robot Vacuum is easy to setup, the app and mapping are great, and the cleaning is above average.
Setup using the app was so simple. It is very obvious and intuitive to get the vacuum up and going. It took two passes to map a house, and then I could set the rooms boundaries in the app. This is great for targeted cleaning of one or more rooms. Setting a schedule is also really simple. I would feel comfortable giving this to a non-technical person and they would be able to figure it out. The one feature I wish the app had is the ability to schedule individual rooms. For example, I would like the kitchen to be cleaned everyday, but the whole house two days a week. I hope that will come in an app update.
I like that the vacuum has LiDar, which makes for much better mapping. Object detection was also good, it was able to avoid shoes - where another vacuum would constantly get tangled in the laces. I also like that it cleans in lines, rather than a random pattern. It is a small thing, but nice to walk in to a room and see the lines in the carpet. Pet hair was not an issue with this vacuum either. The brush roll is designed to pick up hair without it getting tangled on the roller.
Battery life seems good, it was able to clean most of a 2000 square foot house, going back to the dock when needing to charge and then going back to clean where it left off. The emptying base station is easy to use and empty. It doesn’t take up a large amount of space, either.
Overall, this is a good value for a vacuum that has many features of higher end models.

Solid Self-Empty Robot Vacuum for Daily Cleaning

This combo has proven to be reliable and efficient in my ~1000sqft downstairs - a mix of hardwood and carpeted flooring. It successfully navigates five rooms and a single threshold without issue, handling transitions between surfaces and maneuvering around obstacles such as chair legs with consistency. Cleaning coverage is thorough, with no missed areas observed during nightly runs.
Suction performance is uniform across both hardwood and carpet, effectively collecting fine dust, pet hair, and larger debris. The self-emptying base functions well and does not require proprietary bags!! With daily use, the base bin typically requires emptying once per week, and the process is clean and straightforward.
Mapping is accurate, though scheduling functionality is limited. Users cannot schedule cleanings for individual rooms or set the order in which rooms are cleaned. Additionally, only one scheduled cleaning time per day is supported, which may be restrictive for some households. The app interface is intuitive but minimal, lacking features such as cleaning history, setting the order of rooms when cleaning, or cycle-specific coverage reports.
Connectivity has been stable; no Wi-Fi drops or app-related issues. No mechanical or software malfunctions have occurred, and performance has remained consistent.
Overall, this product offers strong value for its price point, particularly given the inclusion of a self-emptying base. It is a suitable choice for users seeking dependable, automated vacuuming without advanced customization requirements.

This is not my first robotic vacuum and I was curious as to how well this unit would work in a fully-carpeted area. When setting it up, the directions stated the base should be on a hard surface, so strike one... The area in which I was planning on using the vacuum only had carpeting (and was not adjacent to an area with a hard floor). I set up the base on the carpeting and, luckily, I have not had any issues with it. (I suspect there could be a charging issue if the base and robot do not fully engage or line up correctly. I would say the carpeting I have it on is a medium pile and it seems to work okay.)
The app is pretty intuitive and the initial setup of the robot was fairly simple. My wife is not the most techie person I know, yet she is able to use the app and the robot without any problems.
After an initial scouting trip for the robot to learn the area, it is then time to use the app to set up rooms and "no go" zones. That was fairly simple and the robot does a pretty good job of adhering to them.
As far as the vacuum itself is concerned, it seems to work really well. We have a couple cats (and a dog) and the amount of fur it pulled up from the carpet on its first trip around was more than I thought it would be (and that was on its mid-setting; there is a higher setting for the vacuum that would probably be even more effective). One thing I noticed, however, is that the battery life is somewhat short. The area the robot covers is probably around 1,500 square feet and it can clean about half of that before having to recharge its batteries. While I have not timed it from start to finish, it seems to take a couple hours for the batteries to fully recharge. In totality, with having to charge the batteries, it takes about 3 to 4 hours to fully vacuum the entire space. On the other hand, the benefit of having a robot vacuum cleaner is the ability to tell it to do its thing and then let it go.
The only other "complaint" I would have is that the vacuum is not as good as some others with object avoidance. On its maiden run, it sucked up a cat toy and wound up down for the count. On another run, it became stuck behind a piece of exercise equipment. (I am actually curious if it would recognize a mess from one of the pets and avoid it or just run over it and smear it into the carpeting. Hopefully, we never have to find that out first-hand.)
One thing I really like is the design of the collection bin. The first time I opened it, I thought it would have an open top. Turns out the collection bin is closed and you have to push a button to open the "trap door" on the bottom to dump everything into the trash. Definitely helps reduce inadvertent messes when working with the collection bin.
So... Is this unit perfect? No. It seems to lack the logic I have seen in some other units that prevents the unit from being stuck or sucking up something that will disable it. Does it work well enough for its intended purpose, though? I would say yes. The app is easy to use and intuitive enough. Setup was a breeze. The vacuum also does a pretty good job at collecting dirt and debris. Overall, 4 stars seems a reasonable rating to me.

Amazing Suction!

This is one of many robot vacuums I have tried and let me tell you, when it fires up it sounds like a real vacuum cleaner. The suction appears to be as good as my upright electric. The setup was easy and the first time running it, it seemed to be confused and bouncing around. The second time may have done the same however I was at work when it ran. Now, when I get home there are perfect lines in my carpet when I get home. I have a dog and a cat the shed a bunch and this has no problem picking up any of the hair. In fact, I’ve been running for two weeks now and have not had to empty the bin yet. Let me tell you, if you haven’t owned a robot vacuum in the past, this is a game changer. With my last robot, I had to empty the bin every single day and in many cases, had to empty it before it was finished.
This is truly the best robot vacuum I have owned.the app is very easy to use, the suction is amazing, and it does an amazing job on tile, wood, rugs, and carpet. It only got stuck once because I had a pile of cords exposed but I have cleared that up.
Overall, I highly recommend. I have tried all the other big brands over the past 10 years and this one is the winner.

Smart, no LIDAR bump, Cleans Under Furniture

I have been using the Shark Navigator Robot Vacuum all weekend now and am impressed. I'll be honest, on first impression I didn't think it had LIDAR but after a few uses, I now "get it". This uses Shark's SmartPath technology. I'll explain that in a bit - but first, in the box you get the Shark Navigator, the self cleaning base, and the sweeper brush you need to attach. Setup was fast, downlolad the Shark Clean app, sign in or up, and start pairing. If you already have other Shark smart products (I have their oven thermometer) you can sign in with the same account.
First use of the Shark Navigator is different to other robot vacuums, it needs to explore your home first. The Navigator explores your home to build a floor plan/map. You can then personalize zones e.g. dining room and also keep it away from things (wine rack!). The family was out and I did some yard work during the explore phase. Once that's done and you add rooms, zones, you're ready to do cleaning.
I was (honestly) shocked at how well the Navigator cleans. It properly goes across the whole room, rather than the old fashion robots that just bump and swirl. The LIDAR doesn't have the top bump typical on other brands, so it was able to get under our coffee table and some other cabinets that normally would not be accessible. We have a dog, and pet hair was not a problem. Floors feel noticeably cleaner and I plan to set the Navigator to run twice a week when we're not home.
In terms of noise. The Shark Navigator is not any noisier than other robot vacuums. However, the self emptying base is loud as your Navigator empties. I would not run the Navigator over night. It would be great if you could schedule the emptying cycle e.g. clean overnight but only empty the unit itself at 9am. This is what is holding it back from 5 stars. Shark - if you read this, I think you could fix this with a software update :-)
FYI, the Shark Navigator integrates with Google Home and Alexa, so you can send it on its way with your voice. Nothing feels cooler than walking out of the home and asking your Shark to clean your home. PS. You can name the Shark Navigator whatever you want, I like Shark as it's kind of fun to send your Shark out to clean your home :-)

Shark attack--On dirt!

This Shark Navigator robot vacuum was needed to replace an aging competitor robot vacuum. It's extremely easy to set up. I had my technologically lacking partner set it up to see how easy it is. After downloading the app and reading the instructions setup was a breeze. Be sure to charge it, then let it map your house (or areas you want cleaned. The app is strait forward and intuitive. After naming the robot (Clean Latifah..lol) and letting it map the house it was ready to go.
As a test, I used a regular upright vacuum in our living room first. Then let Clean Latifah run. Suction power is better than expected as it did pick up some dirt out of our living room.
Letting it do a whole house clean, the robot did stop about 3/4 the way to return to base to empty. We were impressed with how much dirt it picked up. It shows how much the competitor left behind.
We have it set to auto run when we aren't home so the house is always clean. This Shark robot vac seamlessly transitions from carpet to bare floor and back. No hangups on transitions or thresholds.
With the app, you can also set it to spot clean a room or rooms anytime you want some extra cleaning done.
The self empty feature is nice, leaving just a bucket to be emptied periodically.
We like it and would definitely recommed this one for sure!

Great RoboVac! Even better with it's Self-Empty base!
This is not my first expereince with Shark. Not just vaccum's, but their other project lines as well. Every Shark product I have ever used, tested, reviewed, integrated into my life, has been great. And the previous Shark RoboVac lasted us well over 7 years...
Fast Forward 7 years, and the technology in Shark's vacuum's has expanded exponentially. Our first Shark RoboVac, was a basic Robo, very powerful, and efficient, but had very little "smart technology". It was great for our home at the time that had a grid-like layout.
This unit, is by orders of magnitude, so much "smarter". Especially when it come to mapping and memory. We have a fairly complex first floor, East wing lay out. Every other RoboVac we have tried has gotten "confused", and easily failed hitting every area, every time. This Vac, took a handful af tours, and it each time, it learned more and more. Great intellegence
Setup was pretty easy. Download the app, connect ti your WiFi netowrk, and you are good to go.
Power of the vac was great. Use was simple.
The ony small area of improvement? This is awsome for single-terrain homes, but add in throw-rugs, and it gets a little caught up sometimes.
End of the day, if you have the need, this is a great unit.
