First this machine IS NOT self propelled!!! But it is light and steerable! Holds a gallon of dirt before needs emptying and is not messy to empty!! And like the summary heading says will suck anything out of your carpet! We have several cats and a dog and no problems at all!! This is a best buy at twice the price!!

its a lot lighter than my last shark it picks up a lot better & has better suction gets pet hairs & all picked up really good i do wish it had the lights on the head unit but still like it much better i like that it also has a hepa filter where as my last one did not overall i love this vacuum much better would definitely suggest giving this one a try & its bagless & really easy to keep clean

I have had this vacuum for a few months now. It is wonderful. I like the long cord in order to reach a large area. The suction is great. The attachments work wonderfully in getting the corners or even cleaning chairs and couches. Picks up dog fur really well. I have to rinse the filter once every other month for cleaning. So simple and worth it for the great clean you get in this vacuum.

We have a house with hardwood and stone tile floors and needed a vacuum to make things easier after our old dirt devil gave out (makes things more efficient with time and not spreading dust as with using a broom). I wanted something with a large compacity to hold dirt, dust, and even pet fur. We have a dog that sheds alot and often need to vacuum almost daily so we have been able to get a good since of reliability for the past few months. We haven't filled the large/xl storage container yet since we've bought it and it's been in constant use. No loss of suction as of yet. Now there are some downsides like the airvented hose (made to help lose some of the suction in case you're on very sensitive carpet or surfaces) which can accidentally be opened or the hose popping off if you accidentally bump it on something. Other than that this device has exceeded our test. We would recommend.

This is a powerful vacuum and really gets the job done. Easy to assemble. The only issue I found was there was so much fine powder deep in the carpet that it clogged the foam filter after the first use. I wasn't aware this had happened, so the second time I used it (2 days later) the vacuum overheated and quit. I thought I had a bum vacuum! I proceeded to clean everything on the vacuum including washing the filters. So much yuck! This fixed the problem. So I would recommend cleaning the filter after each use, especially if you find you are sucking up a lot of fine dust/powder substance. Great vacuum! Im very pleased with my purchase.

Love it! Great suction, easy to clean. A little heavier than the navigator though.

I have had Dysons, Dirt Devils, and Wind Tunnel Pets, and this vacuum beats them all hands down for raw cleaning power. The last two Wind Tunnels we had (we never learn), the motors held up fine but the cheap plastic body parts failed. We have two dogs, 75 & 100 lbs, , and we could assemble a new dog from the hair. We had vacuumed the rug with the former vacuum then went over it again with the Shark - filled the container with hair the Tunnel Pet didn't pick up - the suction is STRONG! There is a suction release slide on the side of the hose to allow reducing the suction both when you use it on the floor and with attachments. $500+ for a Dyson - ah, No! This cleans way better than the Dyson Animal we had and at a third of the price - maybe the motor fails in a few years, but I can buy 3 of these for the same price as the Dyson, and frankly I like the swivel of the floor attachment with the Shark better.

This isn't my first Shark, They make a quality and effective product for a very reasonable price. I am sold and not looking for a Dy..n

The sweeper is easy to use and works very well. It has a narrower suction width that I'll have to get used to.

I own both a dyson and a shark, and I'd have to say my go-to is still my dyson. I like that you can adjust the suction on the shark and I'm also a fan of the hose. Took away a star because definitely notice a weight difference between my shark and my dyson, with the shark being the heavier of the two. For the price the shark is a good option!

We've had a Dyson canister vacuum (read: expensive) in the house for almost five years and have had many problems. It's been in for repair twice. It does a much better job than the Dyson, and it's an upright. It was also only a third of the Dyson price. I gambled on the Shark, and I couldn't be happier.

I am using it for pergo flooring and carpets both are easy to clean with this cleaner. I had to reduce the suction for the carpets which was very easy to do. It has a small adjustable tab to do this..Very pleased with how easy to get rid of the dirt and clean the cleaner a very important step..

Best vacuum I have ever owned. Wish the extension was longer on the hand held part. Easy to clean.

At first I thought I was going to have to run this vacuum because it looked to small, but once I used it I one I was going to keep it. It is easy to push and have really powerful suction. This is probably one of the best vacuums I have ever owned - gets ALL the dirt from the carpets.

This is the BEST vacuum I've owned to date! Never loses suction, cleans where my last vacuum wouldn't. From bare floors to carpet and works well on plush area rugs also with no problem. I've spent twice as much in the past on a more expensive brand vacuum and this one is better!!!
