    Cord-Free Grab'n Go Convenience

SHARK Cordless PowerPro Vac Unboxing and set up were a breeze. SHARK's quick start guide walked me through connecting parts wisely designed with logical and user-friendly connections. To some, the unit may look to be awkward and top heavy. Handling proves it to be lightweight and easily navigable, by my digital luggage scale, surprisingly weighing in at 6lbs. Moreover, my model IZ382H Series, is equipped with a multi flex wand that not only affords effortless vacuuming under furniture but also folds the unit into a small footprint for space saving storage. Like I have never seen before and I have owned lots of vacuums over 50 years, SHARK's Dirt Reveal Light is a next level spotlight with extreme amplification of surface dust on hard floors. Without the Dirt Reveal Light I would not have noticed the contrast of dirty versus clean hardwood surfaces. So, the vacuum got high marks for its capacity to clean less visible dust on carpet surfaces, leaving those nifty, clean cut carpet lines. Among other features, interesting how a lighting system can make a decision making difference when comparing options between competitors. And for an easy on/off Power Boost, a 'finger pull ring' sits right on the handle to ramp up suction as needed, offering added control over battery- life extension aka range. Even while using the Power Boost a lot, I got two floors and a stairwell done in a 3000sf home in about 40 minutes before the battery died. Now, with battery range in mind, I can plan accordingly. Another smart feature of the big floor nozzle is its ability to automatically detect transitions between carpeted and hard surfaces. This convenience is really appreciated since with older models, adjustments by hand or foot may be required or the entire roller head must be switched to match the surface for optimal performance. As well, goes without saying that SHARK's cordless design really wins hearts. My collection of handheld electronics is a sure indication of how sold I am on the convenience of cordless tech as well as it eco-friendly potential, especially if we all 'solarized' to save money and resources. Nonetheless, now that cordless tech diminishes emotional resistance to home maintenance, eliminates tripping hazards, detangling hassles, and outlet angst, our next challenge is creating a solution that eliminates charging block clutter. BTW, SHARK's combo duster brush with crevice tool and an upholstery tool are included with my model. In rotation between the handheld and the wand, this tool kit gives me access to high and low places like light fixtures, ceilings, walls, curtains and moldings as well as quick truck clean ups while greatly reducing the need for off balance reaching. I am also practicing dusting with the handheld to eliminate allergens that fly off of fluffy dusters. Though a total of three attachments came with my unit, I found an array of specialized accessories at sharkaccessories.com including: a pet multi-tool, a deep cleaning motorized pet tool, a flexible crevice tool, a large anti-allergen dust brush, a multi-angle dust brush, a fur fins tool, an accessory bag, replacement filters, among other points of interest. BTW, the 'larger than most' dirt bin is emptied with a quick click over a trash can. Since filters and wands can be the main sources of blockage, regular cleaning is required: 1x per month for the pre-motor filters and 1x per year for the post motor filter. All filters can be cleaned with water, but filters should be bone dry before reinserting into the vacuum. So advanced planning is required since 24 hours is the required drying time. The Trouble Shooting guide indicates that the culprits driving most issues can be resolved with a good cleaning. As with most things, mindful maintenance is the mantra. SHARK's warranty coverages are pretty generous with 5 years for the unit and 2 years for the battery. Always read the fine print then register your unit if comfortable with the restrictions. In my book, the ROI is worthy of a smart consumer's consideration.

The Shark PowerPro is perfect for my needs. I have been wanting a cordless upright vacuum like this for some time but without the hefty wall-mount chargers that most come with. This vacuum has it all! It bends to get under furniture, folds down to store compactly, has a removable chargeable battery, and has an extendable arm to reach high and low. It is powerful enough to get most messes on the first pass, but when it doesn’t it has a power lever that supercharges its suction even more. *Included* The vacuum includes two attachments: a crevice/brush nozzle and an upholstery nozzle. It additionally comes with a charger and a removable battery. * FloorDectect and Dirt-Reveal* Shark’s automatic floor detection technology works as advertised. It detects when I switch from carpet to tile in a matter of seconds. It changes light depending on the type of floor it is cleaning. The headlights change according to floor type. They illuminate blue on tile and white on carpet. This light is really strong and allows me to see dust easily even dark corners. *Brushroll* The brushroll is removable and thus a cinch to clean. When hair gets wrapped around, I just pull the entire hair ball off the brushroll from the side, instead of cutting it with scissors like I have had to do with past vacuums. The design of the brushroll helps it clean exceptionally well, it sucks up every last bit of tiny crumb off tile floor. It also keeps the roll from getting clogged up when lots of hair and feathers are present. For reference we have birds and the girls in the family have tailbone length hair. *Transformer Vacuum* This vacuum has numerous switches that are for detaching, folding, and bending at various points. It is a bit confusing to remember what switch is for which mechanism, and I have yet to memorize them all. That said, they all function well and are easy to use even for my kids. Everything that is removable pops off smoothly and the bends fold seamlessly, yet it all feels robust enough to stand normal wear and tear. The flex that allows it to get under furniture is long enough to get a couple feet into areas that I haven’t been able to clean in a long time. It does move around in a snake-like fashion, so it takes some practice to get used to it. *Battery* The battery lasts long enough to clean my entire house, unless I am using the high-power mode. The battery has three lights which keeps me updated on how much power I have left. It is removable, making it easy to charge in any little nook. I love this because I do not have a great spot at home to dedicate an entire outlet to a vacuum. *Dust Bin* This vacuum has a large dust bin, which is perfect for my needs but does make it a bit tricky to maneuver as a handheld. The dust bin is easy to empty after each use; I don’t have any issue with making a mess on the floor when doing so. *Handheld* As noted above, the handheld portion is clunky to use due to the dust bin. It is a nice workout if using it for high-reach areas. Besides that, it works well and makes cleaning couches, furniture, crevices, etc. easy with the powerful suction. Both attachments work perfectly, and the crevice/brush nozzle is simple to switch from each mode. The nozzles click to attach and there is no risk of them falling during use. *Conclusion* So far, I am loving this vacuum. It has great power, it is easy to clean, it saves space, and there is no cord to worry about. The handheld would annoy me if it wasn’t for the fact that I am actively working to strengthen my arms. All of the technology they added works flawlessly, so I am overall impressed with by this vacuum and am enjoying clean up time because of it.

I'm Not Going to Make a "Suction" Joke

As time goes by, cordless stick vacuums just get better and better. I haven’t used a corded vacuum in the house for years. I have had six different ones pass through my hands over the years and a general observation is you get what you pay for. The Shark PowerPro Flex Reveal (model IZ382H in this case) is about in the middle price-wise, between the cheapest ones you can buy and the top of the line vacs. That means it is good enough to have plenty of suction and important features, but not priced where you get an over abundance of limited-use accessories, just what you need. The PowerPro Flex Reveal comes with a removable battery which is a big plus if you have ever had a rechargeable device where the battery has worn out but the product has to be disassembled to replace the battery, if you can even buy a replacement for it. Since I am talking about the battery, one thing the owner’s guide mentions is that the battery should be removed from the vacuum for charging. It does not state why. The charging port is in an inconvenient to see location if the vacuum is folded for storage, so maybe that is the reason. Other items that come with the vacuum are a battery charger (the “wall wart” style, which has “Shark” molded into it so you know what device it belongs with - yay!), a powerhead with a motorized brushroll, a paper quick start guide, a paper FULL owner’s guide, and two non-motorized tools, one being a crevice tool with an integral dusting brush, and the other an upholstery tool. Two features of this vac are standouts (the “Flex” and the “Reveal”), one being unique, and the other in my opinion is a must-have for people with hard-surface flooring. The “unique” one is that the wand has an additional flexible joint just below the motor unit. This joint combined with the similar joint located by the powerhead (which every stick vac has) allows you to maneuver under furniture to access the floor which collects an abundance of dust, but is tricky or impossible to reach with a conventional styled stick vac. The “must-have” feature is the low-mounted lighting that washes light across the hard-surface floor to readily illuminate the debris on the floor so you don’t miss anything. I know the manual says to NOT use it in poorly lit areas (I assume so you don’t trip on something), but I now do most of my vacuuming at night with the room lights off and let the blue LED of the Shark light up the floor which makes every little speck of dust shout out “Here I am!” I will never buy another vacuum without this feature…never. The Shark PowerPro has more than sufficient suction to get the job done. There are two levels of suction, the “normal” one when you turn the vacuum on, and then there is a “Boost Mode” which is activated by a conveniently placed trigger ring in the handle area. This increases the suction power, but the brushroll remains at the same speed in either case. The brushroll (we used to call this the beater bar) is of a unique design where it uses rubber fins on the roller which is done to prevent strings and hair from wrapping themselves around the roller and then needing to be cut off. Owners with long hair or with pets that shed will appreciate this feature. The vacuum also features “Floor Detect” technology which can tell if you are working on a hard-surface floor or on carpet. On carpet the brushroll speed automatically increases and the single blue LED changes to a full-width strip of white LEDs to better illuminate the carpeted area you are working on. I’m not sure, but there might also be an increase in suction with the carpet setting. In my use, the vacuum readily detected the change to carpet, but often was slow to change back to hard-surface settings when I moved back to that type of flooring. And there is no way to manually make the change back and forth. I noticed a couple discrepancies between the manual and how the product operates. This might be because the same manual is utilized for a few different vacuum models. The manual states that the brushroll will only engage once the vacuum is “tilted back”, but on my sample the brushroll would run all the time, regardless of the position of the motor/wand relative to the powerhead. To place the vacuum into storage mode the manual states to press the unlock latch on the wand to fold the vacuum. To unfold it from the storage position you also have to press the unlock latch, and the manual states to simply unfold it until the wand clicks into place. The manual also mentions a “Setting II” to use on carpet for deep cleaning, but there is no mention of this setting elsewhere or how to engage it. Maybe it is talking about “Boost Mode”, but the manual is unclear. There is no onboard accommodation to store the two accessory tools. The wand needs to be removed from the motor unit to be emptied, and I found that debris in the dust cup will wrap itself around the protrusion on the inside of the dust cup door necessitating picking out some material by hand. Filters have periodic rinsing requirements (with cold water only) and there is not an automatic indicator that alerts you to perform this task like I have seen on some competitor models. The PowerPro Flex Reveal weighs 7.4 pounds, compared to the two similarly sized stick vacs I currently have which each weigh the same at 6.7 pounds, or 11 ounces heavier for the Shark. The owner’s guide lists 14 additional accessories for purchase on Shark’s website. When you go to the website and look at the accessory list specific for this vacuum, there are only four listed (that aren’t what I would call “replacement” or “repair” parts). And of those four, three of them come in the box with the vacuum when you buy it. The “FurFins” tool is the only unique accessory listed specifically for this vacuum that does not already come with it. So it appears the website department and the owner’s guide department do not communicate well with one another. Tools that I would like to see made available for this vacuum would be a more traditional-shaped, soft-bristle dusting brush, and a stretchable flex-hose. The Shark PowerPro Flex Reveal is a capable and well-designed cleaning appliance that anyone should be more than pleased to own and use. The Reveal feature alone makes cleaning so much more “enjoyable” because of the ability to make you more efficient and thorough at this task. An added bonus is a full FIVE-year limited warranty (two years on the battery). I am giving it five stars because of its performance and features, and would ding it a half star for the mentioned discrepancies, which a lot of people would not notice or care about.

This has an excellent design. From something as simple as storeage, where it almost folds in half to the ability for this to reach under couches and tables makes this an excellent decision to purchase. Set up took less than 5 minutes. Of course you will need to put this through a full charge before using as it arrives with only a mininal charge. Once fully charged it provides excellent power. One of the biggest highlights is the quickly and easily auto detects between hard floors and carpet and lights up accordingly to distinguish between the two. Not only this, but it comes with attachments so you can use this as a handheld wand vacuum to do far more than just floors. It also has bright LED lighting to help navigate in areas that may need just a bit more lighting. This has a self cleaning roller and also an excellent HEPA filtration system on board. I found to get a solid 40 minutes use out of the unit before needing a recharge. The clear cylinder makes it simple and easy to know when to empty and clean. Also at the pull of a trigger you can activate the turbo feature for that extra burst of power when necessary. Absolutely recommend this!

Simple Vac for the whole house

If all you want/need from your vacuum is a simple, get my floor clean in a hurry machine. This might be the Shark you are looking for. Plenty of power to suck up debris and pet hair without ever clogging, yet runs at an efficient power level to stretch the battery a bit further to get larger homes done in a single charge. No second fluff roller to keep maintenance easier. Small, compact and if you remember to keep it charged, ready to keep your floors clean and tidy. Brush Head: This Shark has a single brush roll. It has the fin and fine debris brush all in one. In the past, a single brush roll was hit or miss and often could flick stuff everywhere on hardwood. That is not the case with the new PowerFins. You still get a nice polished dust free floor and it grabs pet hair and sucks up almost everything on the first pass. It has enough weight to keep the brush roll engaged on carpet to properly agitate the pile and pull up pet hair. And so far, I have never seen any hair wrapped on the brush roll. Floor Detect: Unlike some vacuums where you need to change modes or power level for floor types. The PowerPro Flex knows the difference between carpet and smooth floor surfaces like tile or hardwood. It switches lights and power suction to accommodate the floor you are on. Full bar of white LED headlights for the carpet so you see what's ahead and in dark corners. Transition to smooth floors the headlights go off and a blue'ish Dirt-Reveal LED illuminates to show fine particles and other debris within a few feet of the vacuum head. It all happens nearly instantly and speeds up the process of quickly vacuuming the floors. Bonus for me, this vacuum does not eat my bathroom rugs. Just fluffs up the nubs and pulls any hair and debris out without eating and stopping the brush roll. Just step on one edge of bath rug and pull away from foot. NICE! Flex: The flex feature has 2 real uses. The first obvious one is to bend the long neck in half so you can get under furniture and beds to get dust bunnies. This is the best trick of a great stick vac. The second uses of the flex. To compactly fold the vac in half for storage. Sadly the vac can not stand on its own and if not leaning in a corner. You need to press the button that folds it in half to let it stand on its own. Dust Bin, Emptying - and my only gripe: The emptying of this dust bin, is the same as a few other Shark stick vacs. It works and not too tragic once you get used to it. It's a bit clumsy and could be better. First off the vac can't stand on its own. So, fold it up or lean it before removing the dust bin. Once you find the white bin release button, press the button to get dust bin off. Now press the Blue button to open the bin door and if not too much lengthy hair was collected, debris falls out. If you did catch a giant dust bunny or wig worth of hair. You will need to get your fingers dirty as it catches in the interior flap that separates the larger collection cup from the cone separator in the upper part of the bin. I am sure Shark engineers did this for many reasons, but there must be a way to improve it so I do not have to touch the occasional tangled mess. At least this bin is easy to service when off the machine. remove the two white pre-filters and the rest can be rinsed in the sink to make things a bit cleaner. (Shark, Please use a high visibility color for release buttons on your vacuums) I have several of your vacs and they use many colors of plastics on each unit. Somehow, you seem to almost always make release buttons hard to find and color matched to the main body. Even though it may clash with the 2 to 4 other plastic colors on the vac. Please make release buttons dayglow orange, red, green or some other easy to spot color for ease of use. Battery: It claims up to 50 minutes runtime on the box, and maybe in an all smooth floor home it might. I have linoleum, hardwood, tile, bath rugs and a bunch of old carpet in my home of 2 adults and a dog. I get over 20 minutes easily, but not much more than a 30 minute run with occasionally pulling the power boost trigger. I wish there was a second battery included and a charging dock like power tools. Shark continues to use the reliable wall wart and barrel connector charger. The battery does slide off easily to charge away from the vac as recommended in the manual, but can also be charged on the vac itself. Final Thoughts: Battery powered vacs are not going to replace the corded versions for deep cleaning carpets in a house with heavy shedding pets. But if you have a mix of flooring and just want to get the bulk of debris off those floors and want it done quickly. The cordless is the way to go. And at Best Buy when they have these on sale, it is worth adding to cart to have a portable light vac when you need it.

    The Only Vacuum You Need

I don't believe there is a single feature that Shark forgot when they built this vacuum. It is smart enough to switch between hard wood/tile floors and carpet on it's own. When it switches it takes just a few seconds. It changes the suction and the light that is emitted is different. It uses a blue laser type-light when it's on a harder surface. This helps you see dust on the ground. It will switch to LEDs when it's on the carpet. It boasts a new type of roll design that does not catch hair. We have used it for a few days and have not gotten any hair on the roll. It has a bending feature. With a press of a single button; the bottom half becomes loose and you are able to reach under furniture you would have not been able to get to before. The top part can detach from the main vacuum. Additionally, the roller can detach from the rest of the vacuum. Included is two attachments for the top part of the vacuum. The bigger attachment is actually a two-in-one piece. You press a button and you are able to change it from a simple long piece, to a long piece with a brush. I did not feel I needed to use the boost function. It was always able to pick up what I needed it to. We have a iRobot vacuum and this vacuum is able to pick up stuff it misses. If anything, this cordless vacuum is better than the other cordless vacuum I got from Best Buy years ago. My only complaint is that it's top heavy. It cannot stand on it's own. It has to lean against something. For some people, it may be too heavy to hold if you are just using the top part to clean inside your car or small areas. The way I can best describe this vacuum is it's like a Lego kit. No matter whether you are cleaning floors, a corner, under something, something far away, you can attach or detach pieces to the vacuum how you need. This really is the only vacuum you would need.

Solid Vacuum with Power and Portability

I’ve been using the Shark PowerPro Flex Reveal Cordless Vacuum for about a week now, and while I’ve owned several Shark products before, this one still had a few surprises. Right off the bat, I was a little disappointed it didn’t come with a charging stand or dock. At this price point, that seems like it should be standard. Having to hunt for the tiny charging port isn’t the end of the world, but it sure feels like a step back. That said, the performance is hard to argue with. This thing is light—super easy to carry around and maneuver whether you’re going over hardwood, rugs, or carpet. It transitions well across surfaces, and the suction power is top-notch. Between my toddler’s daily Cheerio storms and my wife’s long hair, I’ve put it through some solid testing. That no-hair-wrap feature really works, and I’ve got a couple other Shark vacuums with the same feature—it’s a must-have for me now. The LED headlight is one of my favorite features. Not only does it light up dark corners, but it changes colors to help spot gunk you might otherwise miss. I don’t know why all vacuums don’t have this. The flex points on the vacuum are handy—one helps it bend to get under furniture, and the other lets you fold it down for more compact storage. They both work fine once you figure them out, but the design’s not exactly intuitive. You’ll probably fumble the first few times trying to hold the vacuum and adjust it at the same time. If I had to nitpick one more thing, it’s the overall build quality. Like a lot of Shark products, it just feels a bit “as-seen-on-TV.” I think they make great vacuums performance-wise, but the plastic and overall feel could use a little more polish to match the price tag. It works great, but it doesn't scream “premium” like some other brands do. All in all, I’d definitely recommend it. It’s lightweight, powerful, and packed with smart features that make daily cleanups quick and easy. Now...just have to get over having to bend over to plug it in...

A solid vaccum, will tackle most messes

The Shark PowerPro Flex Reveal vaccum is a solid choice tackling most if not all debris messes in your home, whether it be on carpeted or hard floors. I'm a big fan of the Shark line of products and have a couple in my home, so I compared this one with my others. The vaccum looks nice and modern, its definitely a cleaning appliance I dont mind leaving out for someone to see. The suction technology and power are great. It has smart surface detection technology which automatically adjusts the suction power and roller when switching surfaces, from carpet to floor or floor to carpet. In the event that maybe you have a stubborn amount of debris trapped in the surace your cleaning you can pull on the trigger built into the handle and kick it into high-power mode. The debris tank is sizable and you'll collect a good amount of dirt and debris before you need to empty it. The vacuum has detachble bases/heads so you can use it on your furniture and your vehicle interior. Despite the great features this vaccum has it loses a star for a few minor reasons. One is that the detachable heads are not compatible with other similar products, the heads of the PowerPro Flex dont fit for my PowerDetect and vice-versa. Another reason is that the vaccum needs a base stand or mounting hook for non-use stoarge, its top heavy so its easy for it to fall over or slide down when trying to store it. My PowerDetect came with a charging stand/tank collector and slots for the detachble heads to be stored on, so its not impossible for all their vaccums to come with a simple stand. Other than that I like the Shark PowerPro Flex and definitely reccomend it if you need a reliable vaccum.

Ever since switching to battery powered stick vacs in 2020, I found the technology just gets better and better. I've used 3 different brands since then and the Shark is a no-brainer as a go to. Performance and features make it so easy to clean and it pairs sooooo well with my tile/carpet house. In the box you get the power brick to charge the battery, 2 attachments and the "some assembly required" vacuum. Setup is simple, everything literally just clicks together in place. Cleanup is really easy as well as the brushroller is removable as well as the bin and 2 different filters. Storage is great as it bends at the halfway point so finding a spot is no problem when not in use. Battery didn't take long to charge and you can check how much you have with the 3 light indicators. Performance is awesome. I have a majority tile house with a large carpet rug in the living room. I love how the vacuum when cleaning will change lights to whatever terrain you're on. While on tile, the light is blue to "reveal" dirt and debris to make sure you get everything. When moving to carpet, the light changes to it's white light to illuminate the carpet. I never once had to use the high power mode but I tried it to see how fast it drained the battery. Normal use is just fine, but for stubborn place, you can use the trigger for that extra power boost. I absolutely love the Flex feature. You can click the button in the middle and the vac will easily fit under the bed and other annoying hard to reach areas. The brush head stays flat against the floor and cleaned the entire area under the bed with no back bending. My other vacs wouldn't be flat and raise up at an angle so cleaning was a pain. I have cleaned my house 2 times over and still have 2/3 bars left on my battery. I love this Shark and it has become my daily driver now when I need to clean or spot clean. Performance is excellent on hard floors and just as powerful on carpet. Cleanup is easy and the dustbin comes right off with the push of a button for easy emptying. You can store it just about anywhere once it is folded leaving a super small footprint. I highly recommend Sharks in a heartbeat.

The Shark Power Pro Flex Reveal is quiet and compact, and I've found its suction power to be quite impressive. Features: The flexible wand has been a real benefit, making it much easier to access those hard-to-reach places I often struggled with before, like under beds, dressers, and end tables. On hard floors, the integrated blue light is a great addition, making dust surprisingly visible and helping me ensure a more thorough clean. I also appreciate how it automatically adjusts its brush speed when transitioning between different floor types, like hardwood and carpet. For tougher cleaning, there's a Boost mode trigger that definitely increases the suction. While I find it very effective, especially on carpets, it's worth noting that it definitely does consume the battery more quickly. A standout feature for me is the self-cleaning brush roll. It prevents hair from tangling, which has been a persistent issue with other vacuums I've used. Since using the Shark Powerpro I've experienced absolutely no hair get tangled! It's also very easy to convert from a full-size vacuum to a handheld, which I've found wonderfully convenient for quick clean-ups, whether it's kids' crumbs in the car or dog hair on the couch. While an auto-empty station would be a nice addition, emptying the dustbin using the dirt ejector switch is remarkably straightforward. Appearance: From a design perspective, I think it has an attractive, modern feel, and the white color gives it a premium look. When not in use, it folds up nicely, allowing it to fit into various charging spots without taking up much space. Overall: I'm genuinely impressed with the Shark Power Pro Flex Reveal, it delivers a powerful and convenient cleaning experience. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable cordless vacuum.

Shark PowerPro Flex Reveal Cordless Vacuum. Ninja’s engineering meetings have to be very interesting. They certainly aren’t focused on copying others’ ideas. This PowerPro is our first stick vac that easily slides, without us kneeling much, under our low sofas and every other furniture piece that has defied other vacs. We’re no longer reminding ourselves to change the floor type setting, because Ninja accomplishes that without help. The LED headlights offer serious illumination but they don’t reduce the lengthy runtime. And the vacuuming is enhanced by a well-designed head that keeps itself clean and hair-free. Ninja’s promise of flexibility understates how useful this tool is. I’ll try to capture with pictures and minimal text what’s here. SETUP: It took no time, even ignoring the instructions, to easily snap the few pieces together and figure out what switches do what, and where the plug and battery are placed and charged. That alone is a nice feature: common-sense design. FEATURES and PERFORMANCE: If I were looking for a caption for my pictures, it would be “Features with purpose.” That “knee” joint with its easily released / latched locking switch is probably the most distinctive trick the Ninja accomplishes. And instead of having to drop to our knees to reach under furniture, a modest knee bend allows us to get under everything in our home. Everything as long as it’s not sitting flush to the floor. All those elusive dust bunnies are disappeared. That “fold” also allows for compact storage. The intuitive controls involve a Power Switch and a comfortable pull switch to add a boost of suction power. Charging the Ninja is accomplished while the battery is in the vacuum or by sliding the battery out of its slot and taking it to an outlet. More convenience that is appreciated. And so far, we’re getting that 50-minute vacuuming session. I like the idea of changing vac power and head brush roll speed when moving over different floor surfaces (carpet, rug, hardwood), but I mostly forget to flip the switch. No longer an issue because Ninja’s PowerFlex does the thinking and remembering for me. It is a very powerful handheld with a level of flexibility that is truly useful. It’s probably here that the Ninja may be overly optimistic about end-user strength. While the overall sense of weight for the entire stick vac is modest and well-balanced, as a hand-held configuration, that head is a bit of a workout. As the vacuum traverses between floor types from rug to hard flooring, the on-handle indicator changes, and at the same time, it turns on the dirt reveal light. The “dirt reveal” provides strong side lighting that nicely illuminates dirt and clearly reveals areas you haven’t yet covered. On carpet, it switched back to the strong headlights. At any time, you can easily and comfortably pull the boost ring with your index finger. Noise level is average (70dB@1M; Boost 73dB@1M) for a stick vac, but the frequency of noise is a lower range that is less annoying. Emptying the collection canister doesn’t get easier or neater. Slide the blue switch alongside the clear bucket down, and the cover pops open. Snap it closed afterwards. If you prefer to pop that canister off to carry a lighter canister-only to the trash, that’s a different button. Easy. Neat. SUMMARY: The PowerPro Flex Reveal Cordless Vacuum from Ninja is a pleasure to use, and I can’t find anything to discourage a buyer. Ninja has done a great engineering job here, and as I expect with almost every purchase, they find a solution for a problem you didn’t know you had. Go ahead, Ninja. Do the bending down for me, and thanks.

Shark Powerpro Flex Reveal Vacuum - Just when dirt thought it was safe to back on your floors... First off, over the years I have bought (from Best Buy with my own money!) several cordless "stick" vacuums over the years from a highly respected manufacturer and to date none have disappointed. The Shark Powerpro Flex Reveal is a direct competitor to those vacuums as well as to any traditional canister style vacuum of which I have bought and owned 2. Simply put, the Shark is up to the task of being your only vacuum. Being a handicapable seasoned citizen weight and maneuverability is paramount and the Shark lives up to the "Flex" in its rather long name! It is about has heavy as one my far more expensive cordless vacuums but its powered cleaning head easily articulates so as to reach into spots that would normally require me lifting the vacuum and of special note is the hinged connection just above mid-way on the main body of the device that you can release with the push of a button and allow the Shark to dive deeper under beds and couches with far greater ease than other cordless vacs! This is a fantastic feature of the Shark Powerpro Flex Reveal Vacuum and one that lifts it (and dirt!)above the norm, trust me. Another excellent feature of the Shark is the light on the powered head of the vacuum. It works great in low light allowing you to see just what you're up against when cleaning your home. The head unit will automatically adjust (with the change being indicated by the color of an indicator light on the powered head!) the vacuum's suction and brush roll speed upon detecting the surface of the floor, be it carpet or wood/tile! Fantastic! I first had one of my robot vacuums clean the two rooms I was using for this review and when finished both looked quite clean and then I took the Shark out for a spin. The results were even more dirt was picked up by the Shark Powerpro Flex Reveal Vacuum and where the robot vac didn't quite pick the layer of dust that will accumulate on a wood floor, the Shark literally ate it all up leaving the floor visually MUCH CLEANER! Outstanding! The staircase was also thoroughly cleaned in just one pass and after 25 minutes of cleaning the rooms and the staircase, the latter of which of course no robot vac can do, there was still battery time left and the Sharks easily emptied dirt bin held the results of what was a thorough cleaning session. I highly recommend the Shark Powerpro Flex Reveal Vacuum not only for quick cleaning jobs but also in place of a heavier corded canister style vacuum. It lives up to its name due to its power, performance and flexibility via its articulating powered head and main body which allows you to reach underneath tables, couches (within height considerations!) beds and more. The Shark's built-in headlight shines the way so that you can actually see where you are headed and what you are cleaning. Well done Shark! Trust me. I know what I'm don' when I'm reviewin'!

Shark products have always been synonymous (to me) with excellent cost to value ratios. The PowerPro Flex Reveal is no different. It is capable of folding into just about any shape you need it to in order to reach difficult spots or even stow it in a way that is compact and easy to store. In use, the rechargeable battery got me through entire house vacuuming, both on carpet and hard flooring. Shark always seems to kick out powerful vacuums and the Flex Reveal keeps up with the tradition. Carpet on the stairs, when vacuumed by the Flex Reveal, gave up substantial amounts of cat fur and dust, and when I used it under our bed in the master bedroom, it only needed one pass to vacuum up all the dust bunnies and hair that had collected there. The unit automatically adjusts from hard floors to carpet, which makes things easy. No need to select which type of floor, the Flex Reveal does it for you. It empties out easily, just detach the dust pin and pop it open. And when it is time to put it away, just fold it in the middle and set it in the closet. It takes up very little space. Another great value from Shark!

It auto-detects hardwood from carpet and automatically adjusts and changes the light to detect hair and dust! I’m definitely getting older, seriously a vacuum gave me a smile about as big as getting a new video game system or gaming laptop. This vacuum is amazing! All my previous vacuums sucked compared to this one lol ;-p pun intended! But as much as I love it, it’s not perfect! I’ll start with the good! This vacuum has made short work of my fur covered doggy bed! It also has really good battery life and from what I can tell, it doesn’t appear to weaken its power when the battery runs low. But it will shut off. It’s small and compact, and great for getting underneath my couch, bathroom vanity, and beds. I like the design, it’s not super gaudy and has some decent materials. Which makes me feel good about its longevity. When I first unboxed it, it had one charge light available. I proceeded to vacuum my kitchen and dining room before heading to my dog’s, doggy bed. It legit blew me away with how it cleaned it! Struggling with that bed in particular with all other vacuums I’ve used, but the shark made it basically look like I never had a dog on it! I love the smart feature where it automatically detects Now for the bad. There are too many buttons to press. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, but I wish it had an easier mechanism to fold in half and fold to get under stuff. It has one button for the folding action to store away (which is really small by the way), and one button for the ‘get under things’ button. And they’re kind of backwards for my brain. I wish they moved the fold in half button for storage somewhere else. But the biggest annoyance for me is not having a place to store the accessories, so I have to put it somewhere else to get lost, and emptying the dust bin. It has a second chamber of sorts and it’s constantly getting clogged up with gunk from the floors. There’s no way to unclog it, other than reach in and grab it. Also maybe I should have read the instructions, but the accessories, gave me the impression it’ll be for fur, but it wasn’t. It did rather poorly on my doggy bed, but the main vacuum unit on the doggy bed, so good! Overall though those issues aren’t deal breakers, for the amazing cleaning action it does. My rugs, floors, and stairs never felt so clean, ESPECIALLY my doggy bed. Now my dog can shed like crazy and I’ll have something to clean it up!

    Excels on Hard Floors

As advertised, the Shark PowerPro’s FloorDetect sensors work flawlessly. We have a mix of carpet, hardwood, and laminate in our home. Every transition is smooth as the vacuum detects the floor type and adjusts its lighting and brush roll speed to maximize cleaning performance. The one included battery is enough to clean our entire 2500 sq foot home. On carpeted areas, the vacuum works as intended and does a great job of removing embedded dog hair, dirt, and dust. However, I’ve been most impressed while using the PowerPro in our kitchen and bathrooms where we have hardwood and laminate flooring. For context, we have a split level home with the majority of our living space attached to the kitchen area. We also have two short-haired dogs that shed constantly. We typically try to clean (dust and vacuum) at least once per week. I thought we did a pretty good job of cleaning, but I’m skeptical since using the PowerPro. This is because of the Dirt Reveal light that turns on when vacuuming hard floors. I thought it was a bit of a gimmick at first, but it works stupidly well at illuminating hair and dirt that you cannot see otherwise. I found out quickly where we’ve missed cleaning well as the light illuminated dust and hairballs, especially in tight corners and under chairs and other furniture. The way the vacuum’s wand bends down does allow you to reach all aforementioned nooks and crannies. To me, it really looks like a knee bending in the wrong direction, but we’re getting used to it slowly. When you’re done using it, the PowerPro’s dust bin pops open easily and empties nicely. The vacuum folds over so that it stands upright without additional support and takes up less vertical storage space. My only wish is that there was a way to store the two included attachments on the vacuum’s body and that the battery plugged in on the side as it’s in an awkward spot to plug in when the vacuum is folded over for storage. Aside from that, the Shark PowerPro has been a great addition to our cleaning routine and it rivals the price and quality of other vacuums in the cordless segment.

I like how Shrak make all their cordless Vacuum cleaners look like some Sc-Fi devices. I know the kids love it. Very well thought engaging the Boost Mode. This Shark PowerPro Flex Vacuum is good for small room/house. It has a very good suction, relatively low noise and the flexibility to reach under furniture. It took the battery about 2.5H to charge full and it lasted ~ 40 min in mixed cleaning. That include some in Boost Mode. It has a smart way to detect the kind of the floor it is cleaning. That makes it effective on both hard floors and carpet. It works very well across different floor types. Pros and cons in short: Pros: - Powerful suction. Very good for everyday messes cleaning. Collecting everything from fine dust to pet hair from Hard floors and carpet. - Power Fin rotating roll: It has a roll with rubber fins that is also cleaning itself. - Flexible reach: The wand is flexible, allowing cleaning under furniture without stopping. It also helps for storing the vacuum cleaner. - Equipped with HEPA filter: multiple filters guaranteed ~99% free dust and allergens from being released into the air. Very good for people with allergy. - Light weight: The whole Shark Cordless Vacuum cleaner weighs about 6 lbs. Easy to move around. - Nice additional kits for precise purposes cleaning. Cons: - Long time charging battery and maybe not enough lasting (On boost mode) - The dust container is not that big. It gets full very fast (depends on the cleaning surface). Thus requiring more frequent emptying. - Not very easy to take all the filters apart to clean. It would be nicer if they allow all parts to be removed. - Boost mode makes it very loud sometimes. Carpet cleaning is better done on BOOST. I'd recommend it for daily cleaning and for fixing some messes. It is also good for reaching under furniture narrow spaces and high corners and ceiling fans. The price isn't that bad (for what Shark gives). Sometimes you can get it on good deals. My best point about it is the cordless functioning. Easy to use again and again.

Good Vacuum but needs a Charging Station

This Shark PowerPro Flex vacuum does a good job cleaning but its lack of a charging station or wall mounting or storage for the attachments make it a less desirable option. My older stick vacuum had a wall mount which held the charger and attachments which made making sure it was charged easy. With this one the unit is bent over in an upright storage position. The issue is that the charging port in the storage position is close to the floor which is not convenient to reach and there is no place to store the attachments with the vacuum. If you can get past the mounting/charging issue then this is a really good stick vacuum – just don’t lose the charging brick! For me a stick vacuum is all about convenience, a quick grab and go to get whatever needs to be cleaned up without having to drag out the big vacuum or trying to get the robot to find the mess. I found this vacuum to be a tad heavier than my two previous stick vacuums, but its heft provides extra power that the other two lacked. You can really see the difference when sweeping the hardwood floors, it picks up everything. The auto detect feature is great for going from the hardwood floor to the throw rugs without having to do anything special. There is a light on the vacuum head as well as the vacuum handle to indicate when it’s on carpeting or hard wood. The downside on the additional weight is that my wife found that the top of the handle dug rubbed her thumb. This became more noticeable when she was using the “flex” mode because when you flex the vacuum your hand does all or most of the support because the floor head not directly connected. The flex feature is great for getting under furniture but I found that it was much harder to steer the vacuum head. The vacuum power including the boost are really strong whether you are using it on the floor or as a hand vacuum. The stick section and attachments are reasonably tight and use a push tab to release or lock. The dirt bin is clear so you can see what its picking up and emptying the bin is simple with a tab release that drops the bottom of the bin.

My first cordless stick vacuum. Ask a senior person with shoulder problems who hated doing stairs this vacuum is perfect for that. The blue light when vacuuming hard wood floors can really shows how dusty a floor can get. Very good suction, great with dusk and pet hair. Well worth the sale price of $249.99.
