We purchased this vacuum to replace an older one we had. We have two dogs and this picks up dog hair very well. So far no complaints

The Shark Rotator lift is now my new go to vacuum for my house due to its versatility and effectiveness. It has a few snags but nothing I cannot live without, it is overall a great vacuum. The package is fairly standard for a vacuum but assembly was very simple. Having skipped the instructions, I was able to figure out all the pieces and just needed to look to see how various functions worked. The design of the unit is nice. One of the first things I noticed is that it is very light compared to the previous few vacuums I have had. This comes in very handy if you plan on using it all around the house. Attachments included are and brush attachment, narrow nozzle attachment, and a hardwood floor attachment. You can order a caddy separately which will replace the floor vacuum unit if you plan on using the lift away feature more often. My first gripe I noticed was the head of the floor unit is a bit smaller than more traditional vacuums. This is not a huge deal killer but it might add up to extra vacuuming in the house. My second issue I quickly ran into was the lift away feature seemed to accidentally be activated a few times when I tried to lift the entire vacuum. This made me have the habit of being a bit more careful when picking it up so the floor unit does not fall off. Some people might find it annoying as they might think it is securely attached but it is not. For vacuuming, the unit is very effective and you can even control how much suction is going through the hose. I could get much more dust out of the carpet in comparison to my old vacuum. It is advertised to never lose suction but I am curious how this will go over time as there are a few filters that are easy to access. I am mostly wondering about future availability of the filters and how easy they will be to clean. The floor vacuum attachment was great as well. It seems very well thought out and is designed to not scratch your floor. I made the effort to try out the lift away mode a few times for the review but I noticed that since I am not used to vacuuming this way it did not seem too useful for me for most situations. It was great when cleaning the stairs but when cleaning furniture I did not have much need to take it off the floor unit. I am certain there are many users who will find great utility in this feature but it might just be a nice perk for everyone else. Style wise, it looks rather nice in the corner of the room I keep it in. It does not take up much space and looks smart and not yelling for the observer to pay attention to it like some brighter vacuums do. It just looks like it belongs in the space. Again, this is a good vacuum overall. It might have some features which you might not need, especially if you live in a home with a simple layout. If you have more complex uses, this might be the perfect vacuum for you as the lift away feature can absolutely have a few great uses.

This is the third shark vacuum I own. A long time ago, I bought a competing brand and tested it side by side with the shark and the shark won by a good margin. With that being said, I have high expectations when buying a shark, because they are very user friendly and provide top-of-the-line performance. The last upright shark I bought was 5 years ago and so I put them side by side to give me a good gauge of progress and improvements. I will split it into pros and cons. Pros: -The vacuum has 2 LED lights at the base which aid in identifying what you are about to run over - The vacuum comes with a wand that they call “hard floor hero” but it’s just an attachment that has soft bristles which suck up dust and small items on hard floors. It does seem to work well as the suction is extremely strong. -The mouth of the vacuum is wide, at least wider than the Navigator lift away series I had in the past so that was a plus. - The brush is detachable! This makes it extremely easy to clean. A huge plus. - It is a very intuitive vacuum. Everything is labeled with what it does. For example “wand release” releases the wand; it’s that easy. Very easy to use! - The suction is absolutely amazing. I ran the vacuum over probably 12 square feet of my already “clean” carpet and it picked up so much dust I got worried and started vacuuming everything! I couldn’t believe how much it picked up. The clear container makes it easy to see how much dust is going in as you vacuum. - Nice rubber-lined wheels provide good traction on slippery floors. Cons: - For a vacuum of this caliber, I expected a few better attachments. It comes with the hard floor extension (hard floor hero as they call it), your standard little brush suction tool which if you remove the brush- it becomes an upholstery tool, and your standard 12 inch crevice extension. I do miss having the rotating brush extension that I had in my Navigator for stairs and other applications. A bit disappointing in this department. - The canister is not very large. Now, I’m not saying it’s small, I’m just saying if you have a mostly carpeted home, you may have to empty it after every session which I mean it’s no big deal at all, but it just means you’ll be emptying more often. A small issue, but it’s the price to pay for more portability I guess. Overall, I give this vacuum a 4.5 stars out of 5. Still a great vacuum and I will continue to purchase Shark vacuums (this particular one was sent to me at no cost for an honest review). The reason I like Shark is I feel that they make their products as user friendly as possible without compromising performance and in that regard, I believe they have succeeded with this vacuum.

THIS VACCUUM GETS A WORKOUT EVERYTIME WE USE IT. IT PICKS UP DOG HAIR REALLY WELL. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS ITEM

I love this vacuum! The only issue I've had is vacuuming a shaggy rug...the brush gets stuck and stops spinning....other than that, it's amazing!
