Works well on carpet and hardwood floors. When you detach the canister from base to do small areas or reach high places it's heavy and bulky to move around. Otherwise i would give it 5 stars.

We love the utility of this vacuum! We looked at all Best Buy had in stock and those at Walmart. We made a wise choice!

The shark picks up pet hair very well. It is good on hardwood floors and carpet. It does require you to empty it fairly frequently. The portability on stairs is very helpful.

After owning a Dyson vacuum that kept breaking down, I had a hard time settling on a new vacuum cleaner brand and type. I decided on a Shark model. The price performance relationship is outstanding. This vacuum cleaner far outperforms Dyson. The model I bought has a hardwood floor tool that works like a charm. I own multiple dogs and dog hair is no challenge for the machine. I can only recommend this vacuuming cleaner.

I bought this to replace a "pet vacuum" that started burning through belts. I was blown away by how much this little vacuum got up. Even with two big mud tracking hair shedding dogs, it works like a champ. When it started loosing a little suction, I only had to rinse and dry the filters to put it right back to great. And the loss of suction is probably long down the road for someone with cleaner pets.

We bought this vacuum cleaner as a replacement for a Hoover that was not up to the job. The house is noticeably cleaner, and the vacuum cleaner is easy to separate into components to carry around. The only annoying thing is that it has three attachments and only two places to put them, so my rating is really 4.5. Still, I have filled up the dust collector a few times with the leftover crud that's been in the carpet.

Easy to maneuver and operate. Has enough suction to pick up birdseed on a hardwood floor.

This is a great little vacuum. We have 2 dogs & 3 cats. While it won't defur the critters, it does a great job defurring the carpet, rugs & hardwood floors.
