Love everything about this vacuum cleaner except bare floor suction

Well, the new vacuum just arrived today (ordered Fri, delivered on Mon.) and of course, I had to put it to the test. IT IS A TOTAL HOSS!!! I am really impressed with the engineering they put into this one. I'm not one to get excited about appliances or cleaning a house with one, but this vacuum, they literally thought of EVERYTHING! I still have my Rainbow system, but I am so impressed with this Shark, I think my Rainbow might see more days in the dark closet. LOL!! When they put "Professional" on the vacuum and the box, they were not kidding. That joker is something else. Very lightweight, easy to change from one thing to another, I mean they seriously put some brilliant engineers into this one. It HAD to be designed by a woman. I was really surprised at how good it is. Even love it more, because I got it totally free, with my "rewards" program. Best freebie, I have ever gotten and wow, is it a good one.

I like most everything about this vacuum cleaner. I just wish the hose would stay on the holder better.

I wanted a lightweight vacuum that was easy to maneuver under furniture. This vacuum is heavy and very stiff when trying to turn corners or go under furniture. Donot use it as a canister because it does not move easily- too heavy to carry around as a hand vac. As an upright it does not move easily at all!!!

I COMPARED SEVERAL VACUUMS AND THIS WAS A GREAT BALANCE OF PRICE AND PERFORMANCE. LIGHT AND HIGHLY MANEUVERABLE.

Its an excellent vacuum cleaner with a lot of accessories but its a little too heavy to lift and clean.

Just purchased Shark vacuum I was skeptical works great but stair feature is just ok could be better

If you have pets this is the vacuum to get. It's amazing how hair it will pick up. Works great on laminate floors

We have a home with many animals; cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, fish, rodents and more so vacuuming is a common occurrence in our house. We liked a Eureka vacuum that was very inexpensive because it dealt with the animal issues very nicely. Biggest problem is that neither my wife nor I really care to spend time vacuuming so we are not very nice on vacuums. End result: we would get about 18-months with the Eureka before it would break to the point of disrepair. Well, Eureka changed their design and the new model did not perform as well as the old model. We decided that maybe it was time to spend more $'s and get one that would last. (save $'s and better on the environment). We tried a fiends Dyson that is comparable to this Shark. It was okay but required multiple passes when vacuuming bird seed and such around the bird cages. If you own birds you understand this issue and how often vacuuming needs to be done. For the price the Dyson wasn’t worth the hassles of the multiple passes needed. We decided to give this Shark a try since it is much less expensive than the Dyson, similar in concept, had good reviews in our research and if it didn't work on the bird seed issue we could use it elsewhere in the house. Wow, this vacuum is nice; it works great on the birdseed, is easy to use, light weight enough we both can just grab it and vacuum the stairs without hassle and seems to be of decent quality. My wife has preferred bagged vacuums due to the dust issue when emptying bagless vacuums. She liked how the Dyson bagless emptied and felt she could live with it. The shark empties just as nice as the Dyson and she has no problems with it. Our house contains pretty equal amounts of carpet, tile and wood. This vacuums work fantastic on all surfaces, including area rugs, without pushing multiple levers buttons and knobs when switching surfaces. Biggest issue is when vacuuming high pile carpet. The suction is so great it is hard to push. There is a valve on the handle you open to decrease the suction and it helps a lot, enough that it is not an issue for us but it is still a little harder to push than the Eureka was. The next issue is the limited space for the attachments. There’s no room for the power brush so you can only keep the crevice tool and small brush with the vacuum. So far that hasn’t been an issue since we’ve been able to do most everything without the power brush and those few times its been needed we just pull it out of the closet. In 12 months if this is still in good shape I’ll be getting a second one so I don’t have to keep fighting my wife for it!

I love this vacuum my only disappointment is the tendency of it to fall over when using the wand.

A good value for the price. The position of the power cord is annoying but not a big deal, I would still purchase it again.
