Holy cow!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is incredible. We just got this vacuum a few days ago, so this review is only my initial impression. I have never made a purchase of any household appliance that has left me so impressed. Overall, I rated the vacuum a five, but there are some design changes that would make it better to look at. BUT it's a vacuum, so it didn't bother me at all. The material and colors of the vacuum make it look almost like a cheap kid's toy (and almost made me not buy it) but the reviews were so good, so I took a chance. I'm glad I did. Although it looks cheaply made, it seems to be rather solid. All of the pieces snap together perfectly. Also the bin is very easy to empty. The steering control is intuitive and smooth. If you have a number of throw rugs to vacuum, I recommend having a kid stand on the edge of the rug while you vacuum. Otherwise, the suction is so strong that the vacuum tries to suck the rug up off the floor. My previous vacuum was a Dyson and I really liked it. I vacuum everyday and thought it worked beautifully... Then we decided to get another cheaper vacuum for the upstairs. I researched every kind of vacuum and found this one to be popular. Even though I vacuum the house daily, the first time I ran the vacuum in the living room, I picked up a bin full of nastiness. We have two cats, so most of it was hair that I thought the Dyson was picking up. Every room I vacuumed showed the same result! I was shocked and appalled. We have decided to now keep this as our primary vacuum and use the Dyson upstairs. Some of the previous reviews commented that they had trouble picking up kitty litter, but the vacuum did just fine for us. Also, several comments were made about it being top heavy... It is, so you just have to be careful to always make sure it is standing up before letting go of the handle. Finally, The cord is somewhat oddly placed, but that is not a problem, just odd. The minor design flaws are easy to overlook when you see the amazing job it does on the floors. I would highly recommend this to everyone looking for a vacuum

great for about 1 year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this vacuum because I was tired of the cheap $100 vacuum from Walmart. When we first got it it was amazing with the amount of debris it picked up from the floor. I had to empty the canister out twice after vacuuming. Sadly, this vacuum gave out on me after about one year of use even after emptying and cleaning out the filters occasionally. This would have been a great buy if it would have lasted at least two years. Will be going with a different brand next.

Not Even Worth It
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Highly disappointed in this vacuum. I bought it because it was recommended by sales rep and online reviews. It worked well for few months and eventually stopped rotating to pick up dust from carpet. Luckily I bought protection plan so I was able to bring it back to best buy and get a replacement. Unfortunately I was not told that I needed to purchase a new protection plan on that replacement equipment so of course that one stopped working shortly as well. When I took it back to best buy I was told there was no protection or warranty on it so I needed to purchase a new one. I was completely disappointed on the brand and the amount spent for it to break down twice just on regular day to day vacuuming a large living room rug

Shark - Rotator Professional Lift-Away HEPA Bagles
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems to do a good enough job, but I have all bare floors so it is kind of hard to tell. It is very top heavy and would not recommend it to the elderly.

Happily surprised with my Great White Shark!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok, I'll admit I'm a vacuum snob. I've owned Dyson's since Costco started selling them and have remained loyal to the "never loses suction" brand under the guise that it was THEE best vacuum you could own (even though there were features that I didn't LOVE about the vacuum). Well, our oldest and second Dyson finally quit; the repair guy told me it was going to cost $140 to repair the rotor, brush head, etc... Nah. Not for a second, upstairs only vacuum. So, here come Black Friday and I'm snooping around for an alternative bag less vacuum that won't break the bank like another Dyson would. Alas, the SHARK catches my attention so I order it, almost fully intending to return it before it even arrived - I'm thinking it will be a cheap, shiny piece of over-infomercialized junk. Well, I was wrong. Yes, it has A LOT of gadgets on it, and yes, it has some shiny trim on it - but all the parts and pieces work great and are easily labeled, easy to take apart and reassemble depending on what floor you're vacuuming!! The hard floor attachment that goes on the easily-removed wand is my favorite - LOVE the different options for carrying the motor by hand or on the little wheeled dolly robot thing that will follow you around as you use the wand. It sucks great, and that's a good thing! I happily recommend this vacuum for anyone with a larger home too, with hard floors, carpet and rugs - it handles them all and gives you lots of options on how to reach all the nooks and crannies with a host of on-board tools. The bag less unit is easy to dump and even gives you the option of opening the top AND bottom of the canister to reach those fluff balls that don't just slide into the trash. Happily surprised... we call it our "Great White Shark." My ONLY complaint about this vacuum is that it could use a rubber furniture guard around the floor head - it's made of hard plastic and I accidentally nicked an ottoman leg when I was moving too fast with it. But I can add that, I suppose.

The product came broken and missing parts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for a Christmas present. When it was opened the cannister was broken and missing filters. However Best Buy was very good to take the return and send another one which my daughter in law loves.

This vacuum sucks! It has great power.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great with pet fur. Turns on a dime. Easy to use and empty. I wish that I would have discovered this machine before investing in the Dyson Animal!

Seems to be a pretty good vacuum
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not so very intuitive regarding where all the switches and attachments go. However, after a short time, I would say it seems to get the job done.

Okay Vaccuum
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a bit clunky. The way it feels when switching between upright and in-use is a little awkward. An otherwise unremarkable vaccuum.

Decent vacuum cleaner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this vacuum with the thought in mind that I would use it for pet hair clean up on the stairs to our 3 story home. Unfortunately, the sucking power on our thick carpet wasn't to my liking. Ultimately, I returned this item one week later.

It's ok... clogs quite often
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When you first get the vac... it cleans well... but I find the unit clogs often... I had to exchange the first unit... The second unit still clogged... two years later... while cleaning the motor stopped working... it may start back... just sucks it happened 30 days after my protection plan expired. I will look at other brands now.
