Best Vacuum ever! Right out of the box i started to vacuum and was disgusted with how much my old vacuum was leaving behind! I have 3 long haired cats and a pug... and this vacuum gets the hair so easy!

My DYSON and the amount I paid for it can go suck it after buying this, well actually my SHARK sucks more, in a good way. I AM AMAZED WHAT COMES OFF MY CARPET EACH TIME I VACUUM COMPARED TO MY DYSON! The wood/hard floor function is great and it is amazing with cat hair and on blinds. No worry about bags, NO BELTS TO BREAK! Just have to clean it every 3 mos. BY FAR MY FAVORITE HOUSEHOLD PURCHASE OVER THE PAST YEAR. Don't waste your money on cheap vacuums that lose suction quickly and need constant part changes, this is a sturdy 5 year investment.

I couldn't be happier. It cleans amazingly, and I love all the different ways it can be used (as a canister, as an upright, hoses, attachments, etc.). It's easily the best vacuum I've ever owned.

This vacuum is awesome. It is detachable in all the right places and the multiple attachments are make cleaning easy. As an upright, it swivels for maneuverability.

It is powerful, many features and the best tool is multi-angle tool with no doubt. Enjoy working with this vacuum

And for a vacuum to suck, well that is a good thing. Frankly I had a $500.00 Dyson it was good but after just 3 years it started to croak. In looking for a new machine like must of us I read the reviews and found this one. I Figured I would try something new and take a chance, besides you have 14 days to return it if your not happy. We have an medium sized dog and fat cat, so just before I bought this I vacuumed with the Dyson and then brought in the big SHARK.. I was absolutely amazed in the living room alone I had enough fur in the machine to make another cat, not that I want one. All I can say is this machine beat that Dyson hands down, enough so that after I write this review I am going to see if they make a carpet cleaner. The only tricky part is to figure out how to use all the functions but the machine is pro grade and really is incredible. I will say it looked inexpensive but done judge this book by its appearance just by the machine and SUCK it up!

I got the Shark NV501 after thoroughly reviewing vacuums and this one was consistently rated best in independent comparisons and consumer reviews. I had been putting off getting a new vacuum until my 20 + year old Rainbow finally kicked the bucket. My house is lived in (I'm by no means a neatness freak) and I have two dogs in the house. When I brought this thing home I knew my carpet in my family room was up for a challenge, and the Shark delivered pulling gobs of dirt, dust, and doggie stuff out of the carpet. It even pulled the deeply ground in gunk to the surface so that my Bissell Pro Heat 2X carpet shampooer could make quick work on finishing the carpet cleaning. The Shark also has very easy to use accessories and the convertibility to a canister is a huge plus-great vacuum for the money!

This vacuum gets great suction and it is adjustable as well. Lots of attachments which can be helpful but not ideal to store a pile of them. Had to cut hair out from brush roll but it was at least easy to see when because of the clear panel above the brush roll.

I bought this vacuum for the price point even though I was looking to buy a Dyson. It has everything you need to tackle cleaning chores. Lots of attachments and the lift away feature is great. However, we recently installed new carpet and our previous carpet was a standard pile and our new carpet is a sculpted low - high pile. The vacuum is much more difficult to use on a higher pile. It has the auto adjust feature and moves from floor to carpet easily but using it on anything higher then a standard pile carpet is challenging. I don't know if the Dyson would perform anymore easily on higher pile carpet so we plan on keeping the Shark.

This vacuum replaces an eight year old Dyson Animal. The Dyson held up well and still works OK, but has always been klunky to use so manueverability was paramount in its replacement. That said we only looked at rotator style models and settled on this particular shark largely due to it's price point, features and reviews herein. The Dyson Ball is simply too expensive in a dead on comparison. Overall, it's a vast improvement over the Dyson in all areas except suction, where it is, at best, on par with the Dyson. While it is a bit on the heavy side, this model is simply wonderful in it's flexability of attachments and uses available. Faults are few, but include a smaller than expected debris canister and poor hard floor performance with the standard power head requiring the use of the hard floor attachment and roller canister base. Also, the site lists this as "self propelled" which it is NOT. Overall, a good, very flexible vacuum especially for the money.

So far this vacuum is everything I've ever wanted. It's easy to set up and easy to use. It sucks up more than I even know is there. I have a 3 year old and a dog who both like to make messes and this vacuum is the right answer. I would highly recommend it.

As a former Dyson only girl, I never thought a Shark would hold up. But after 1 use, I am in love! It's lighter & easier to manuvur than my Dyson and I honestly can't imagaine using anything else now. Cheaper price does NOT mean cheaper product in this case!

My wife and kids seem to enjoy vacuuming again as this thing really does a great job!

one piece makes it easy to use. 2 small led lights in front so you see in dark corners. good suction power. i am not sure is sucks water.long enough cord but i lacks a system that retracts the cord automatic... so you have to gather the cord yourself.

Had this for some time now and still love it. Amazing how much it picks up!

This sweeper has all that I wanted and more that I didn't know could be so good. It works well and maneuvers easily on all surfaces. I have thick/long fibers in the bedroom and the upright is hard to use on that so I use it as a canister (on the wheel base) and use the long handle/wand with flooring attachment which works just fine.

We thought our previous vacuum was great, but "wow" is the only word that describes our reaction after using the Shark the first time. We didn't realize how much dust and dirt was being left behind and how much our allergies appreciated a cleaner home. It still works just as great today. Very satisfied with our purchase.

I love this vacuum. I have a rabbit so there is a ton of pet hair all the time and it never looses suction. The attachments make for easy cleaning! My house has never been cleaner

This Vacuum is really great. it was easy to assemble and I was really shocked how much dirt came out or my carpet. I cleaned every carpet in my house I had to empty the canister three times because it picked up so much dirt. Shark - Rotator Professional Lift-Away I would buy another one
