Been a Dyson fan and had a DC07 since 2003 that finally died. Bought a Dyson Multi floor 2 and kept it a day and returned it because it there was no way to regulate the suction like the Shark. This vacuum is much easier to use because the rear wheel stay on the floor so it can be rolled around, unlike the Dyson. The biggest advantage is the adjustable suction so it can be used on area rugs and thick pile without coming to a stop because it was too strong suction. Time will tell if I can get 16 years out of this model but Dyson is not my go to vacuum any longer.

This is an amazing vacuum for the price IMO. The suction is great and all of its versatility makes it functional for households with multiple floor surfaces. I have shag styile carpet and it looks better than it has in a long time. Also we have four dogs that have a room with hard floors and the lift way feature with the hard floor attachment makes cleaning up hair a now painless task that I do daily.

This is by far one of the best vacuum's I have ever seen or used!! Its beautiful in design, so light weight, compact! We purchased this after my husband started having really bad nose bleeds due to cat allergies (and we have 2 cats!). I had literally just vacuumed with our old vacuum, and then used this one. It was GROSS - the amount of hair and dust that this vacuum picked up after I had literally JUST used the other vacuum was amazing! As for lightweight - my mother has a really bad back and she cannot lift really anything. Because of this, she hasn't had the opportunity to vacuum often (theirs was very heavy). When we purchased this she tried it and she actually enjoys vacuuming again. Even my dad (who never does cleaning) enjoyes vacuuming!!

Tremendous suction, easy to clean, lightweight, lots of attachments

This is the second Shark Pro I have owned because it does a great job! Love the break away feature and the attachments always come in handy!

I purchased this because my wife wanted a new vacuum so it would be easy for her to vacuum the stairs and not be so heavy. We looked at other brands and models and concluded this was the perfect vacuum for our needs and usage. The price was a steal! We purchased it when there was a sale on all vacuums. It took us a couple of weeks to open and assemble it together due to our busy work schedules. Once we did and gave it a go, we were so amazed by how powerful the suction was and being so quiet compared to our old vacuum. It felt like the vacuum wanted to do the work for us because the suction power. We both are very happy and satisfied with our choice. Definitely would recommend this product!

We have had two other vacuum's. The first one made an annoying squealing sound while we used it and didn't do a great job either. The second one wasn't bad for about a year. Then the motor for the brush gave out. This one is quieter and performs far better plus it's much easier to use in hard to reach spots!

Cleans amazing. Lightweight and easy to use. Attachments are great. Suction power excellent. May not be a Dyson but I don't want to pay that kind of money for a vacuum. The closest ore gonna get for the price.

I am totally in love with this vacuum and I have had my fair share of them. I love the lights, the edge suction works really well, lots of accessories and the unit is very versatile to suit your needs. My only 'con' would be that the hose is not all that long....and when using it, the main unit will easily fall over. Not that big of a deal and I am thinking it will be better once the hose gets stretched out a little bit more. I could have gone with another model of the Shark that had a longer hose but was lacking the 'edge cleaning'. And to me...having a vacuum that had the power to suck up stuff along the baseboards without getting the hose out, was much more important. The first time I vacuumed with the Shark...I could not believe how much MORE stuff it picked up right after I vacuumed with my old one.

This vacuum is great! I was in between this and a dyson. I ultimately choose the shark because it offered more versatility when it came to stairs. Living it a house with stairs is a whole new ball game for me, and with having two toddlers I vacuum a lot!!! (Like twice a day) we have carpet and tile flooring and I was nervous that it wasn't going to do a good job on the tile, but it has proven me wron! It does an excellent job on both flooring types. And all the different attachments are so handy (another thing the dyson lacked) now I will say this vacuum is slightly heavier then a dyson but I don't mind that so much because it just feels well built! Honestly, you can feel the quality. The suction is incredible. When I vacuum my area rugs I actually lesson the suction, which is conveniently placed, and it's just perfect. The cord is also longer then a dyson.

I love that this vacuum comes with useful attachments and strong suction. The lift away also provides ease with cleaning stairs and hard to reach areas. A must have for a household with pets. It does a fantastic job removing pet hair from carpeting and furniture. I would highly recommend.

I was raised to believe that Hoover was the best vacuum cleaner you could own, so I have owned several over the years. When my last Hoover died, I asked friends what they recommended. Shark was above and beyond the #1 recommended vacuum cleaner, so I thought I would give it a try. I'M HOOKED!!! Never have I had ANY vacuum cleaner that pulled up as much dust, dirt and pet hair as this product! I also love the attachments, specifically the brush roller attachment which works great on our furniture. The vacuum is light-weight, easy to store in a small space and emptying the canister is a breeze. I am a very happy, satisfied customer!!

This machine was recommended by Consumer Reports magazine. But I didn't stop there. I asked my Facebook community which vacuum they have that they absolutely love. Overwhelmingly, the answer was Shark, followed closely by Dyson. According to Consumer Reports, Shark has a much better record of not needing to be repaired than Dyson. That, combined with the fact that it is much cheaper, and I was sold!! A few friends had this particular model and raved about it, so I took the chance on it. Best Buy definitely had the best price I could find, by a long shot! I've had the vacuum about 6 weeks now, and absolutely love it!! I highly recommend it! It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and picks up from the front and the sides of the vacuum. The light is a nice bonus when you're working in corners or under baseboards. And the wand tool is very easy to use. A wonderful purchase overall!

This is a great vacuum cleaner, especially if you have pets. It's great at picking up pet hair and dust. The Shark comes with tons of attachments for cleaning pretty much everything. Great on carpet and hardwood floors.

This vacuum exceeded our expectations. It's powerful, and easy to handle. The included attachments allows for a variety of cleaning jobs around the house. I highly recommend this vacuum over the over-priced Dyson!

I picked this vacuum up when it was on sale for I believe $240. All around this vacuum is extremely versatile. All of the attachments are great and allow you to really cover everything you need to clean. The wand easily detaches as well as the whole section that lifts away with the single press of a button for each. The cord length is long enough for any tasks that I have without having to continually unplug and find a new outlet. Lightweight, great power, and a lot of different options to clean (regular vacuum, lift away, canister) make this a great vacuum at a decent price.

This vacuum does it all (carpet, bare floors, stairs, blinds, the car, ceiling fan). This Shark - Rotator Professional is very easy to use and light weight to carry around. Can be easily assembled for an upright or canister. The best vacuum I have ever owned.

I purchased this item because I have 3 cats, 2 dogs, area rugs, and hardwood floors. I needed something that could handle all the dirt, fur, and cat litter. The vacuum works really well on carpets; however, not so much on the hardwood floors. A little disappointing on that front. I do like all the attachments and its easy to navigate. Al-in-all - its a good vacuum but not sure worth the price.

TheShark - Rotator Professional Lift-Away is the best vacuum cleaner that I have ever owned. It was very easy to assembly and use and the suction is unbelievable. You use it as a lift away which can make it easy to clean stairs and other hard to clean areas and make to very easy to transport around my house. It also included an upholstery cleaner, a power brush, crevice tool, straight suction noozle and a dusting brush. You can order more attachments from Shark. It was amazing how much dirt and dust it removed from my house. I had a Hoover vacuum cleaner and was very disappointment how easily it breaks and the suction was poor. It also comes with a 5 year guarantee from Shark. I also purchased a 4 year protection plan from Best Buy which will enable me to replace the vacuum cleaner at no charge during that time period. I highly recommend this product.

Has plenty of power and loaded with attachments. Great convenience in the way it empties. If there is a downside, it is the weight of the machine for an elderly person, if you have to pick it up.
