Having done a great deal of research before purchasing this vacuum, I was pleased with the performance of this one. It has great swiveling abilities and even better suction. One of the best, and simplest facets is that the canister not only opens easily at the bottom (to release the dust particles), but it also opens at the top (in the event that any dust gets trapped there). That was one of the problems with my previous vacuum. I haven't had this new vacuum long enough to need to clean the filters, but I think that, too, will be an easier process.

Saw the infomercial on tv about this product. I checked to see if Best Buy carried it, which they did. I researched this product for about 3 months before pulling the trigger, had to talk the wife into replacing her Oreck, which she used that morning. Picked this up in the afternoon, never had any product go together so easy, no reading of instructions needed, everything worked and fit perfectly, very impressed by the quality right out of the box. Decided to re vacuum the living which she had done earlier in the day. Emptied the cannister within 5 minute of vacuuming, couldn't believe what the Oreck had missed. The attachments worked perfectly, especially liked the duster attachment. My carpet FEEL cleaner after vacuuming, I am now thinking about some other Shark products after making this purchase. This is easily the best vacuum I have owned and I have owned most of the brands available. I could do the commercials for this vacuum, thats how much I love it.

This is my second Shark. Had a smaller model and loved it. Gifted it to my daughter for her apt. Then purchased this larger model with the light and more accessories. Absolutely love it. There are many other good vacuums but the Shark is the most practical.........light weight for carrying up steps. And the turning radius is great! Suction is awesome for cat and dog hair. Will always own a Shark.

I have always purchased Dyson vacuums in the past, but had heard that I should consider Sharks, so I did. Wow am I glad I did. this is very light and easy to use and has incredible suction!! The attachments are all on board and easy to access. I love it. The only draw back is the cord length is less than I am used to and I have a large home so I have to unplug it often to move room to room.

I bought this vacuum because I needed something light and versatile. This vacuum has lived up to its name and beyond. It is vey light and versatile. It has great power to get all sort of jobs done.

This vacuum has great suction, is light weight to care up and downstairs. Vacuum is easy to use and attachments clean multiple services. Thinking about buy another one for upstairs.

Just bought my new shark NV501 vacuum from Best Buy on July 4th and I love it so far. Vacuum that afternoon and the dirt that came out of the carpet was unbelievable. I had just vacuum a few days before with my old vacuum. My husband was shocked how clean the carpets looked. We have light color carpeting and he said they look lighter as if I had just shampooed them. So far i like the vacuum cleaner. Would recommend this product. My experience at Best Buy was very good, the help was very friendly and checked out with a coupon and rewards very fast.

It's versatile, powerful, easy to change configuration, and easy to empty with no bag. My minor irritation is the shortness of the hose when using the handheld features.

This vacuum replaces what in its day was a highly rated Hoover Wind-tunnel vacuum which I thought worked well. I'm impressed how much dirt is extracted from my carpets with this Shark Vacuum that was left behind by the Hoover. It is four pounds lighter and noticeably quieter. The HEPA filter prevents release of dust back into the room while vacuuming. I like not having to buy vacuum bags. Emptying the contents of the dust canister is simple. So far my only complaint is that the hose for use with attachments is rather inflexible and seems to resisted extending. This makes using attachments connected to the hose a bit of a struggle. I've only owned this vacuum about four weeks so perhaps with time the hose will become easier to work with. I seldom use attachments connected to the hose, so this isn't too much of a problem. Overall, so far I am pleased with this vacuum and would recommend it to a friend.

Pulls up more dirt from my carpets than I am a little distressed to know was in there! I especially like the quick ability to change from floor to carpet on the floor cleaning utensil. That makes it very convenient to clean small area rugs on large floor surfaces without changing to the carpet utensil. The couch cleaning tool has terrific suction and cleans cat hair off places I had long ago given up attempting to clean with a vacuum.

The shark vaccuum is very durable and easy to use. It has great suction and works great on bare floors with the attachments.

This vacuum can be summed up in one word "AWESOME"! For what you will pay for a decent vacuum these days, the Shark Pro is by far the best of the best, not just for its price range, but...period. This vacuum picks up everything. It's very easy to maneuver and it's surprisingly light weight when you use the lift away feature. In lieu of being a household appliance it has the great feature of also being easy on the eyes :) (I think that's what drew my wife to it) Coming from a vacuum that didn't seem to do anything but make noise, I was very impressed. Speaking of noise, the Shark is shockingly quiet. Definitely lives up to the hype.

This is the best vacuum I have ever used, it is easy to move around, light weight and really powerful and quiet. It has many attachments that I may never use but I have them if I ever want to use them. I didn't know it was an upright and a canister vacuum but that is an added plus. I actually enjoy vacuuming with this vacuum.

I enjoy the ease of using this vacuum cleaner. It’s heavy duty on the job, but light in weight. It makes the job easier for me, not having to lug around a heavy vacuum! It does a good job cleaning up too. Has a few nice attachments that I use for dusting. I’ve had this vacuum for 2 and a half years, and it’s still working great! I’m very satisfied with it.

The shark blows the Dyson away. I've had both now and this is awesome. It actually blew me away the first time I used it just how much stuff was left on my floor by the dyson that the shark picked up. The little roller storage thing for all the extra attachments is nice also, and the lift away canister makes reaching things or going stairs so much easier.

I had a 7 year old Dyson animal that had seen better days and needed to be replaced. House has deep pile carpet, stair carpet runners, door mats, hardwood and softwood floors, tile, concrete, pets, kid, etc. This vacuum can be configured to handle anything. Great attachments. Great suction. It seems to get the pet hair and run of the mill dirt, but also cleans deep to get the fine powdery dirt the old Dyson (and the Hoover vac that went back to Best Buy to upgrade to this unit) wouldn't touch. I love the ability to change configurations easily and how well it handles cleaning the carpeted stairs. All the attachments work great.

I wanted a bagless and lighter weight vacuum for both carpeting and tile floors. This machine does a great job with both types of flooring. Easy to move around the floor and very easy to dispose of the dirt into the garage container after each use. I can easily see how much dirt is being sweep up into the vacuum container. It also has some useful attachments for upholstery, drapes and smaller area cleaning.

This vacuum is awesome! It picks up tons of dirt and has great options. I had someone ask me if my carpet was new and this carpet is probably 20 years old! The vacuum does feel a little heavy, but I love the self-propelled feature. It really takes the strain out of pushing the vacuum. I love that the brush roll automatically stops when in the upright position. I love how easy it is to lift out the wand for cleaning. The vacuum has tipped a few times when pulling on the hose, but I've quickly adjusted to the length of the hose and it's not a problem at all. I have standard sized ceilings and feel like I have adequate reach with the hose. I love the swivel steering! It makes it easy to quickly get around chairs, table legs, whatever! My husband thinks I'm crazy because I love this vacuum so much. I haven't even made my kids vacuum since I've gotten it yet because I don't want to let anyone else do it...now that probably IS crazy, but it's that good! I really like the look of the vacuum too. Seems sturdy and well built! If you are still trying to decide which vacuum to get, look no further! BUY THIS VACUUM!!!!

Need a new vac. Read reviews online. Everything fits the commercials to a tee! I have a white cat and she loves to curl up on the furniture. Cat hair gone licketysplit! Oh what a relief it is. I live in a villa in a retirement community. With the first vacuuming the carpet fibers that it pulled out you would have thought it was new carpeting, not 6 years old and all the cat hair that came with it, especially from under the bed where she likes to hide. The only fault I have found is that it does not clean well on carpet edges at the wall. But it still warrants 5 stars.
