Works very well, has nice suction, picks up small objects, very easy to use under tables and chairs. The only downside is the cleaning head is not as big as my old one but it does a very good job on carpet and bare floor.

Our previous upright died. After searching the internet and Best Buy reviews, I was leaning for the Shark. The Shark - Rotator Professional came on sale at Best Buy. My wife and I are pleased. It is quiet but very powerful. It removed significant quantities of dirt that my old machine couldn't pick up. The dust is lower in the house, as a result. The roller will probably never get used, but it was an extra. Excellent Vacuum!

I'm so happy with this purchase! I purchased a Dyson that was over $350 and there was barely any suction so I returned it. I saw a commercial on TV about this vacuum and it caught my attention because it converts to an upright vacuum to a canister. You get best of both worlds. I love this feature. It comes with many tools, I wasn't used to this so I was a bit overwhelmed, but I got used to it. It picks up so good! I have really long hair and I shed a lot, I have to remember to clean it prior to using it. I highly recommend this vacuum!

This vacuum cleaner was recommended by a prossional housekeeper. It replaces our old Dyson that finally died. We're really impressed with the suction, which is stronger than the old vacuum. We can really see what was being missed. The Shark is also very easy to maneuver around furniture. The various attachments have been very useful for stairs and hard flooring. Highly recommend the Shark for its power and value.

Super happy with this vacuum! It thoroughly cleans the carpet and hard floors with ease. It is light, works great on stairs, and it is not loud like most vacuums. All the attachments are great, but hard to store (that's the only negative). I love the vacuum's versatility. With a 3 story home and carpeted areas on each floor, this is one of the best purchases I've made since moving into this house. It has saved my sanity!

This is my first upright bagless vacuum, so can't compare it with other similar brands. But it blows away the old Eureka canister I had. Got tired of buying filter bags and it was on it's last leg so decided it was time for a new vacuum. Decided on a bagless even though I knew there was mess involved with emptying the canister. Read reviews on lots of different brands, and Shark had the best reviews. Paid a little more than I wanted to, but it was on sale and was much lower than a Dyson. I know some ppl who have Dyson's and love it, but I'm not going to spend that kind of money for a vacuum. The one big gripe I have, is that I like the mobility of a canister that you can wheel around. While doing research, this model was originally a 3-in-1 (upright, lift away, and canister w/wheeled cart). It has sinced been changed to a 2-in-1 (no cart for lift away canister). At the time of my purchase, the BB website still had the old photo and description for the 3-in-1 model. Even the floor model on display at the store was the older version with a picture of the wheeled cart on the vacuum! I was dissapointed but bought it anyway. Got home and set it up. It's a little confusing at first, because it's in seperate pieces. But, it was easy to snap the sections together. Took just a minute to figure it out and it was ready to roll. Overall, great vacuum. Highly recommend it! Pros: No more bags! Yay! Great suction, variable suction adjustment, assortment of attachments (dusting brush, bare floor, crevice, upholstery, power roller), upright rolls easily, long power cord, good suction, easy to seperate lift away and empty canister. Cons: No retractable power cord, dusting brush is an odd oval shape and needs more bristles, the connection for the wand and upright is tight and difficult to seperate to change modes (looks like it'll losen up in time tho), messy to empty canister, have to change HEPA filter (which BB doesn't sell).

I absolutely love my Shark Rotator vacuum. This vacuum exceeded my expectations in suction and is light weight. I have two dogs and six grand kids in and out so I need a vacuum to get the job done well. I went to purchase a different vacuum $100 less. The sales girl worked with me for almost an hour taking other models down and comparing all the options. Although the Dyson animal had excellent reviews it was out of my price rage. I am very glad I spent the additional money from what I had intended on the Shark Rotator.

Although it's as ugly and tacky looking as sin, this vacuum performs very well so far (two weeks) and has a lot of useful attachments. CNET had a review with this and few others, and the winners were this and the Electrolux. The Dyson wasn't as good I guess. Even though I hide it when not in use, it's a fun, functional, machine to use.

Lets preface this first by mentioning that I bought the dyson dc41 used it in my house for three days, I have a majorly hairy lab, two kids and a cat in a dusty old house and while it sucked and the wand length was nice it felt like it was cheaply made. Mind you I don't want a heavy vac but the dyson was flimsy the canister mechanism was bound to break and quickly at that. The handles were cheap and flimsy, and the wand was too. In three days Managed to clog the thing solid two times and had to take the hoses off and unclog it. So it went back and this time I tested all of my research on the front runners on several tasks, dirt pickup of course, sound level, ease of use, solidity of feel, and attachments and mostly "suck ability". The only two that passed were the shark and the electrolux. If I was going to choose by looks the electrolux would have won its much prettier with its silver and gold but the shark won over it on two things the capacity of the bin and the turning capabilities. So far we are very satisfied with it, I don't have any carpet in my house only hardwood floors with no finish on them so I can't speak for its performance in other surfaces but for us it works fine.

We did some manual reviews and asked friends for advice. Everyone kept coming back to this. We were hesitant after having a Dyson but didn’t want to spend a fortune again. We have been very pleased w the power and maneuverability of this vacuum at nearly 1/3 of the price of a Dyson. Easy to switch between floor and carpet. Even our kids can easily vacuum with it. Great purchase, have not been disappointed. We’ve been using it for several months.

While at Best Buy making kitchen appliance purchases, I came across this vacuum. We hadn't seen the infomercials at that time, but figured since Best Buy was carrying this vacuum it must be ok. Why do decisions regarding vacuum purchases have to be that involved anyway. Brought it home, took 10 minutes to put it together...seriously. Cranked it up and was shocked how well this thing worked. Having seen the infomercials on it...they are spot on. Even got two thumbs up from our house keeper. Said it was the best she has ever had the pleasure of operating. Lightweight, easy to clean the lint trap out, and amazing suction power. I really liked the price compared to other name brands I have seen at the big box stores...and it works better. It's a good un'!

Wow! Bought this for a relative who has limited mobility. Lightweight, easy to use, works excellent!

The vacuum is light weight with strong suction. It has good swivel function and the filters are easily removable for cleaning. It's the perfect width for getting into corners. Really like everything about it except the plastic button that releases the handle, always is the first thing to break after many, many uses in my cleaning service. I have tried many different vacuum brands and the Shark vacuum is the best for suction, versatility, and price. I have purchased many Shark vacuums and prefer them above all others.

This vacuum is a great value for the money! I was looking for something not as heavy as my previous full metal clunky vacuum. This is lighter weight, has great suction and all the amenities. My favorite part is cleaning your carpet, seeing the nasties that come out of it and doing it again and again and still being amazed at how much dirt comes out of your carpet every time!

I love this vacuum! I have tried a few different brands and I will never use anything other than Shark again! I have 2 dogs and 3 kids and it picks up everything they leave behind! It has not lost its suction at all. It is super easy to clean. I haven't used the bare floor attachment. I just run the vacuum over my tile floors and works perfectly. I love that you can change the suction power. This vacuum is seriously amazing!!

Shark rotator 501 effectively transitions between tile, wood, and carpet. The wand release easily activates the "lift-away" mode. The included tools for cleaning narrow spaces, upholstery, above ground surfaces attach easily. Good suction is maintained when cleaning floor surfaces, upholstery, shelves, blinds, etc. The dust receptacle is also easy to empty and clean. I am very pleased with this vacuum's performance.

Was really impressed by ease of use. Directions were great. Suction was very good, picked up big pine pet litter with floor attachment, and has an upholstery attachment which acts a clothes brush, Picks up fur and small lint. Works as well as Kirby and is light.

This vacuum is AMAZING! the suction remains constant, even as the dirt cup fills up. It's VERY easy to empty, and very lightweight. The attachments are SO well designed! I really like the "roll-away" base, which allows the vacuum to follow me around... we call it R2D2. :-)
