One of the problems we've had at my church with Covid is sanitizing the hardwood floor of our church hall. This is an old church and so, old floors. I got this for the hardwood floors at my home but thought that it could be used for the church in the hopes that we could use less chemicals yet still sanitize as much as we need it. Our sexton is in heaven. Not only has she found the floors much cleaner using this but she believes that the floors are getting sanitized much better. There's no residue on the floors from using the commercial chemical cleaners and, as she says, the hall just smells much cleaner. She loves that dried food residue easily gets scrubbed up but that it also gets into those little areas where the floor isn't completely even so she no longer is on her hands and knees making sure those areas are clean. Needless to say, the church is now the proud owner of it's own Shark Steam and Scrub.

I've had several other "steam mops," where to get the full effect, you still needed to add a significant amount of elbow grease to get through the grime. I usually just end up going back to the regular mop set-up for convenience. This powered steam mop is much different. As soon as I turned it on, the first thing I noticed was how smooth it was. Glides effortlessly. Then I went to deep clean mode and saw that it was effective. It makes easy work of my kitchen tile and wood floors all while sanitizing along the way. Pads grab the grime and are very easy to remove and clean. A great cleaner that actually gets it done. Definitely recommend.

Ordered this steam mop brand new from Best Buy, however, Best Buy decided it would be appropriate to ship me a used machine. There are a total of 4 pads in the box, 2 were brand new, and the other two are brown and clearly used. I am appalled because I’ve been a loyal customer of Best Buy. I will consider updating my review if Best Buy corrects the issue.

Steam works well. Unfortunately the pads aren't touch enough to remove much off of the surface. Im not satisfied with this purchase.

I thought its rotating pads will work well on our tiles... it does but at the end it leaves swirl marks when it dries up. I have used it quite few time and already passed return window and now its residing in my garage ..... I never had such a bad experience with Shark products in the past.

The product did not clean as expected. Tried in on bathroom tile and did not clean much at all.

I’ve long been a fan of steam mops to allow me to quickly clean my floors without having to get out a bucket, fill it with water and cleaner, and wring out the mop every few minutes. I previously had a Shark steam mop that I loved, but it didn’t last too long, so I was glad to see the newer version from Shark. The main difference here is the scrubbing feature. Two “soft scrub” circular pads attach easily to the mop and spin to help dislodge and pick up dirt from the floor. The mop features 3 levels of cleaning: light, normal and deep. Normal and deep modes increase both the amount of steam used as well as the speed of the spinning pads. Shark promotes the Steam & Scrub as a mop that will be hard on dirt but easy on your floor. After using the mop on my floors, I agree that it’s not going to damage hardwood or other sealed hard surfaces. It gently lifts dirt with the pads, while the steam loosens the dirt up and kills germs on the surface of the floor. Filling the unit is easy, and the clear tank allows you to see how much water you’re putting in. That’s all you need to get started—no cleaners or chemicals are necessary, as you’re cleaning and sanitizing with the power of steam. Press the mode button to turn the unit on at the light setting, then press again if you want one of the other modes. You need to hold the base of the unit lightly with your foot while pulling back on the handle to start the rotation of the pads. Now you just move it back and forth over your floor, then return the handle to the upright position to stop the pads when you’re done. The Steam & Scrub Mop is an uncomplicated unit that makes it easy to keep your floors clean. Given my previous experience with older model Shark mops, I do have some concern about longevity, but hopefully that is a thing of the past. Shark includes two sets of scrubbing pads, which is nice because it allows you to have a clean set while the other set is in the wash. I wanted a simple, easy to use mop for doing a quick cleaning, and the Steam & Scrub Mop from Shark fits the bill. I think it seems pretty well built, but only time will tell if it’s built for the long haul. If it can continue as well as it started, I’ll be a happy mopper!

I hate mopping. Its just a mess and difficult to do in a full house. Vacuuming or sweeping are not an issue because once you are done in an area or if you need to shoo a dog away from the area you are cleaning, they dont take your cleaning with you and all over the house. So I have zero issues with those chores. But mopping? Blek! Shark has the solution for my disdain of mopping with the Steam and Scrub Electric Mop. Want to mop your floors? Nope...you dont need that bucket. Merely apply the cleaning pads to the bottom of the Electric Mop, Add Water to the reservoir via the pitcher provided, find the closest outlet, and start your cleaning playlist! Need to set up a playlist? No problem. You have a minute or two after turning on the Electric Mop for it to come to steam temperature. Enough of a wait that you can find your tunes or move some items that are in the way, but not too long where its annoying. Once the mop starts to steam, tilt the handle back and get your clean on! It is one of the simplest cleaning processes I have ever been through. No, it will not remove year old stains that you left on your floor, but it definitely will clean your floor to the best clean possible. And possibly my favorite part...after about 2 minutes the floor is dry again! No residual water or streaks. Just shiny clean. Don't turn off your tunes yet. Ever Seen Risky Business? Yep, now is the time to put your socks on and do your best Tom Cruise across your freshly (and thoroughly) cleaned floor. Now very few things are perfect and this Shark Electric Steam Mop is no exception. It has shortcomings that I would like to see improved. First is the water capacity. I had to refill the reservoir twice while cleaning a kitchen, but I was very throughout and went over the entire surface several times. I also had to refill the reservoir once while cleaning an average sized bathroom. Not terrible, but you will hear when this Steam Mop is dry. Secondly, and it will most likely come with a higher price tag, but I would love to see a battery powered version. Batteries have come a LONG way. I have not been a battery over gas/electric plug person, but the portability and convenience along with the advancements in batteries is really starting to win me over and might even be spoiling me. But this is just something I would like to see available. Shark, you did a good job with this product. It cleans and does it efficiently, saving me stress and time. Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to get my hands on more of your products.

This is my second one of these. I had an earlier model and I could not wait to try out the new one. Two improvements over the previous model jumped out at me right away. First, the way the pads attach is better. The previous model had velcro and you had to get it just right. This has plastic grips which line up perfectly each time. Second this model include LED lights on the front, which is great when i low light settings (under tables and chairs and counters) and helps to cast light on the floor right where you are clearing. Setup was super easy. Unbox the unit, attach the handle to the base, attach the pads, fill with distilled water =, plug in and you are ready to go. The unit activates when you pull the handle back. You get a choice of settings LIGHT, NORMAL and DEEP. I went right for the DEEP setting first. You do want to go slower and pass over the same area a few times to let the mop do its work. And this will take a little more water but you are wanting a Deep clean so that should be expected. I started on one side of my kitchen and worked my way to the other. By the time I got down, the first section was already dry and ready to walk on. You will want to be sure to use DISTILLED water. You do not need any additives (no vinegar or other cleaning chemicals), only water. When done, you can take the pads off and wash them in the washing machine. Allow the unit to cool before putting away.

Used it and there is no difference between the tiles cleaned versus the ones that were not. I got better results with a regular mop than with the steamer.

In essence a steam mop needs only to be a simple device, one which can create steam heat and scrub your hard floors with a replaceable cleaning pad. In this case, the Shark Steam & Scrub does exactly that, but adds comfort by removing a lot of the manual work needed to perform the scrubbing. It uses two rotating disks, with 3 adjustable speed levels, to automatically scrub the floor, with little to no manual force needed to get into the floor and buff stains out. The open question from this then is: how well does it actually scrub? The answer is, very well! As mentioned earlier, there are three modes called light, normal, and deep, which essentially correspond to slow, medium, and fast when it comes to scrubbing. As the names suggest, these modes are designed to target different levels of stains and grime, with normal being the best option for regular cleaning, light being mostly for touch-ups, and deep being for all other heavier cases. We used deep mode on some of our older sealed floors and the machine did a very good job of cleaning-up, so much so that we didn’t feel much need to do any spot scrubbing with our manual steam mop. We have a variety of hard floor surfaces in our house, including stone, tile, & hard wood. The steam and scrub performed equally well on each, with no real complaints in terms of performance. Likewise, the water reservoir holds plenty of water (the recommendation is to used distilled water) and managed to clean most of our necessary surfaces without needing to resupply. On a logistics from, the unit comes with 4 pads, all of which are machine washable, as well as a plastic cup for filling the reservoir. The power cord attached to the machine is also very long at 22ft, which is quite convenient & helps with some of our larger rooms.

As usual Shark has done it again. I have been using a steam cleaner for ages but for heavy traffic areas I find myself scrubbing but with this it does the scrubbing for me. This comes with 4 pads making it easy to change them out for extended cleaning sessions. Most importantly is the effectiveness of the cleaning action due to the circular motion of the pads. My only complaint is that unlike my previous steam cleaner this does not detach to use as a hand held unit to clean non-floor surfaces. This is not a deal breaker as I only do this a couple times a year and mostly use this on my hard floors. Be sure to use distilled water and enjoy the knowledge that you are sanitizing your space with out chemicals. I highly recommend this and will be using it as my regular cleaner for the hard floors in my home.

Shark Steam and Scrub All-in-One Scrubbing and Sanitizing Hard Floor Steam Mop Included- Steam mop, 2 sets of scrub pads, filling flask, quick start guide, owner's guide Assembly- The assembly was super easy. The handle just needs to be clicked into body of the mop. Set up- The set up is also very quick and easy. Fill the flask with distilled (recommended) water, open the lid to the water tank and pour. Close the lid. Attach the pads by placing 2 on the floor with the pastic rings facing up. Hold the mop over the pads to line them up with the discs that hold them into place. Then gently press down until they are secure. Usage- When you plug it in, the mop will be in standby mode. There are 3 settings- light, normal, deep. Press the mode button to switch between modes to select the one you want. It's recommended to wait 30 seconds for the mop to heat up. Then recline the handle down and it will activate the scrubbing pads. Move the mop forward and backward to get the best scrubbing results. To sanitize, the mop must be in deep mode and mopped at least 15 times. Clean up- When you're all done and the mop pads have cooled off, remove them by pulling them off the discs. Empty the water tank. Store in a dry area. Wash the scrub pads separately in warm water with liquid detergent. Do NOT use any bleach, powdered detergent or fabric softener. Overall- I like the concept of the Shark Steam and Scrub Mop. I found there is room for improvements. This is my third Shark mop and I felt this one did the best job at scrubbing and cleaning my floors. I use it on engineered hardwood and tile floors. While using the mop, I found it hard to steer due the spinning mop pads combined with the swivel mop head. It didn't reach corners at all and it felt much heavier than my other Shark mop. It also made the floors a lot wetter so the dry time is defintely longer. I was mostly in deep mode though, I liked the lights on the mop so it was easier to see what you're scrubbing. I like the 3 modes offered too. I didn't want my mode choice to time out though whlle I was waiting for the steam mop to warm up. It should at least not time for the 30 seconds you're supposed to wait for it to warm up. I like that it cleans the floors better with the spinning mop pads. It means less muscle strength from me is required. If they could just work on the cons, this will be the ultimate mop. I tried a wet-dry vacuum yesterday, and it was a nightmare. So, today, I got this steam and scrub mop, and it is amazing! Sure, I still need to sweep before using this, but my floors have never looked so good. It genuinely scrubs the floor, and the mop pad rotation is so powerful that it actually moves itself forward. I just steered it with the flick of a wrist. Also, since the pads stick out past the machine a little, it really can get right up against baseboards and just under appliances.

My wife and I recently purchased a new home which has linoleum floors throughout most of the living areas. We also live in a dusty area since there is no grass yet. Needless to say, a lot of dirt gets tracked in and makes the floors yucky. This steam mop is amazing! It works incredibly well at cleaning our floors and making them feel great to walk on and look beautiful. It amazes me how well the steam works at releasing stains - very effective. As far as use, it has a pretty long cord as well so you can cover a large area of floor.

Nice upgrade from previous model. Easy to fill and use, steam is visible letting you know it works. I wish it came with an assortment of pads but the ones provided do a good job. Corners are absolutely out since everything is circular. Model runs fairly quiet and it seems powerful enough. Steam is automatic vs previous model which is a huge plus, however, I have not found a way to tell if the unit runs out of water as nothing sounds or alarms of such issue. One star off for that. We are definitely using it since we have pets.
