Shark-TurboBlade Ultrapowerful Bladeless Tower Fan is absolutely amazing. Received this fan last week and it has surpassed my expectations. Packaging - Very well packaged - boxed in an outer generic box and then an interior Shark box with all the information surrounding this fan. Quality - The lightweight plastic parts seem durable although don't let a toddler swing on the arms, I would recommend vertical. I don't have a toddler, but could see this being an issue if you have younger children too tempting for children in my opinion. Looks like an exercise bar more than a fan when horizontal. Base is very sturdy and has very little possibility of tipping over on its own. Very quiet running fan. Can barely hear it is running when it is on. Remote - lots of settings and easy to use. Fan speed, specialty modes, rotation of the fan and setting left to right all from the remote is possible. Remote is magnetized so it can sit/attach to the top of the fan so its easy to locate. Fan speeds, rotation and airflow - You can go from a very low speed setting to a very breezy air flow setting with a volume like toggle on the remote. Specialty modes are interesting and gives some interesting aspects of the fan. Highly recommend this fan to anyone who is looking for a quiet nicely designed/styled fan and gets the air flowing in your home.

      Hi Jaime,

We appreciate you sharing your experience with the TurboBlade. It’s great to hear it works well when you're sitting in front of it, but we’re sorry to learn it hasn’t been effective at cooling your room. For better airflow and cooling performance, we recommend using the highest fan speed setting and placing the unit in an open area to help circulate air more efficiently. Your feedback is valuable and helps us improve.

The Shark TurboBlade Bladeless Tower Fan has been an absolute game changer in our home. The design of this fan looks amazing in any room, it is definitely light years ahead of anything I have ever used before in the styling department. When it comes to moving air, the Shark TurboBlade is in it's own class as well. The distance this fan generates air movement is something I have never experienced before, and it easily moves air in our 800 square foot living room with 16 foot ceilings. This fan is also extremely versatile, it has so many different settings and configurations that I can move this around any room in the house and make it work perfectly. It is even working great in our garage on the hotter days, generating a nice breeze with the natural breeze mode! One of my favorite features of this fan is the magnetic remote control. I have lost nearly every remote I own at some point, but not this one! It snaps right to the top of the fan and is always right where I left it! Overall this fan has been an amazing value, and I will definitely be picking up another very soon!

So I went with the positive paid reviews and got it...Not worth the money at all. The features are cool with the magnetic remote and being able to angle the blade, but this thing does not push air and the only setting that will push air sounds a jet in your room.

Summary - the Shark TurboBlade Fan is the only fan I know of that can direct the breeze in two different directions, representing the ultimate in customization. Easy to set up, it fits in a variety of places most fans can’t. Pros - Moves a lot of air - Numerous configuration options, some not found anywhere else. - Efficient - Easy to put together - Good quality materials and fit and finish - Easy to clean dust filters on base Your Mileage May Vary - Heavy base, makes it stable, but can be a lot to move around. - Expensive - Silent at low speeds, acceptable at high speeds - Many of the functions require the remote. - Modern design, blends in reasonably well. Cons - Frustrating instructions and status lights More Words- Let’s address the elephant in the room, is it worth the cost? I would say yes. I am not happy that you can only control many functions with the remote, I don’t about your house, but mine eats remotes. But past that, it really excels at what a fan is made for, providing a great cooling breeze. And it has so many options on how to direct that breeze, or should say breezes. It has two blades that you can independently set direction. And the blades can be pivoted in a 360-degree arc to fit the space you have. Want it in the corner? Set it too vertical. Want to blow a breeze across a bed? Set it too horizontal. Want to make some modern art statement, set it to any angle you want. The height is adjustable. And of course it does what mere mortal fans can, oscillate. The base is heavy, that’s good for stability, this thing isn’t going to just fall over. The small footprint makes it easy to place. The weight can make it difficult to move around a room. It’s easy to set up. The dust filter is easy to clean. And then there is the interface, it has 10 different speeds, which should be enough, but only 5 status lights. I found I had to constantly review the instructions because the interface just isn’t intuitive. And as I only use a fan 6 months out of a year, I am going to just tape them to the fan. So, who is this for? This fan would be comfortable in a dorm room, a dining room, a study, a bedroom, you get the idea. It really is the most versatile fan I have seen, and for me that outweighs my frustrations with the lights, so I gave it 5 stars, but if I could, probably a 4.5

    Quiet; Limitless Directional Adjustments

This bladeless tower fan is compact but also relatively heavy, weighing in at 15 pounds which is good because that makes it stable. The base footprint is 12 inches, and when the dual air outlet blades are positioned vertically the fan will fit in small spaces making it easy to find a space for it in any room. The fan blades have endless position options making it possible to direct air flow in any direction. Each of the dual blades can be rotated on their axis and the pair can be rotated from vertical to horizontal. Additionally, the fan can be oscillated at 45, 90, and 180 degrees, while the blades are either vertical or horizontal. The pole also telescopes - it sits at 31 inches high and can be raised to 37 inches. The fan has a 10-speed motor to push the air through the blades. It's advertised to push air up to 80 feet but I'm a little skeptical that it could push it that far. I can feel the breeze at 20 feet across my living/dining area with the BreezeBoost setting turned on and I'm pretty sure you could feel the air moving at twice that distance, 40 feet, but in my opinion 80 feet is doubtful. It doesn't feel THAT powerful, but it certainly is powerful enough for an enclosed area or a porch/patio. The fan is very quiet, even on high power. The power cord is 6 feet long which is adequate for convenient placement of the fan. A remote is included that can turn the fan on/off; adjust motor speeds; turn the oscillation on/off and adjust the degree of oscillation; toggle through specialty modes - Sleep Mode, BreezeBoost, and Natural Breeze that randomizes air flow; and horizontal angle adjust (adjust horizontal air flow direction, when oscillation is turned off). There is also a timer function that can be set at 1,2,4,8 and 12 hours. Remote batteries are included. A set of 5 white LED lights across the front of the fan base blink in different sequences to indicate which fan settings have been activated. In summary, I think this fan is a little pricey, but it seems to be pretty good quality and should last a number of years. I'm hoping it'll save me a little on my air conditioning bill. It comes with a 2-year warranty instead of the typical 1 year. PROs CONs Compact Price Limitless Directional Adjustments Quiet 2 Year Warranty

With two small kids, bladeless fans are the way to go for us and this one doesn't disappoint. It's powerful and can maneuver into a lot of different positions to get you the airflow you're looking for. Setup is a "breeze" (pun intended). A little bit of assembly is required but it's pretty straight forward. Honestly, the hardest part was finding all of the pieces of tape that were stuck across seems to hold things straight. Once you got all of that done, just plug it in and hit the power button on the remote (or the single button on the base). You can maneuver the fins into two main orientations. Vertical is the way I like it because it takes up the least amount of space. It's a very thin upright fan in this orientation, but you can also rotate the fins to lay horizontally. Each fin is also capable of angling to whichever direction you desire as well. So you can offset them a little bit to increase the spread a little bit or have them facing two separate points you want to keep cool. It's really pretty neat. The remote is fairly simple to grasp. Everything is pretty intuitive. The up and down rocker controls the power, the left and right one controls the rotation. Then you have some preset "modes" which seem ok but I probably won't use that much. And a oscillate button that toggles between 3 different settings (45, 90 and 180 degrees). The thing I like the best is that you can change just the rotation position with the remote instead of needing to manually adjust which way the fan is pointing. I do wish there was the "steps" the rotation changed were a little smaller, though. Airflow felt really good on even the lower settings. It hasn't been scorching hot or anything yet but we luckily had our first couple 70+ degree days this year and the airflow was nice. I probably kept it running at around a 3 power for a few days. It's not silent. You can hear it on any of the settings. But it's quiet enough that on lower power it doesn't get in the way of our day to day activities with it's noise. Higher power, you'll probably want to use sparingly if you don't like loud fans though. Bottom line, it's a good fan. It's not a cheap fan but it doesn't try to be. I'm a big fan of the small footprint when it's in a vertical orientation and it's quiet enough that it doesn't bother me through the day while giving our living room some much needed air movement. If you're looking for a higher end fan to keep you cool this summer, this could be the one for you.

It was very easy to put together. It comes in a few pieces and they are labeled part a, part b & part c. The instructions are very clear on how to put it together. It is a great fan of course. It is a quiet fan, although I would not call it silent. When you run it on high mode it is loud, although not as loud as a normal fan and has more of an output than a normal fan. In terms of the features there is a lot. There is a telescope so you're able to adjust the height of the fan. Although it's a little disappointing, it only adds an extra 6 inches. You're able to rotate the blades vertically or horizontally. The remote can change the angle of fans, left or right. You can place the fan down and never have to touch it again. Now this is where I'm a little annoyed. All the fan modes are displayed by lights on the fan. There is five circle lights. Your fan speed? Well it's 7, after you see 2 blinking lights. If it's 2, then you get solid 2 lights. The different modes? Well you have to understand the lights and also the chimes now. The different oscillations? Different lights. Timer? Well get your quick start guide, then press the buttons how many times you need it. If you don't memorize everything, you'll HAVE to keep the quick start guide with you. ANYTHING could have been better than 5 circle lights. Overall, if you're thinking of picking a regular fan or thinking about shelling out more for something like this, I don't think this is that bad. It's a very cool fan. If I did not need this quick start guide as a permanent manual, this would've gotten 5 stars. For this price, it should've gotten a screen or an application.

This is one unique fan. I've never seen anything quite like it. The rotating "blade" makes for some very interesting use cases. The fan itself is built really well. It feels sturdy, doesn't look cheap, and the remote has a very nice feel. The magnet on the top of the fan base creates a perfect magnetic shelve that feels well thought out. As a fan it has 10 different speeds. Even at the highest setting the fan isn't particularly noisy. In fact its perfect for some white noise while you sleep. It also features oscillation from 45, 90, and 180 degrees, making it perfect for big rooms. The interesting design lets you rotate the air ports in tons of directions and adjust the height of the blades to direct the air exactly where you want it. I wasn't sure what I'd do with a horizontal blade of air, but I quickly learned that at its max height this fan was right at bed level and the horizontal position was great to give me a nice breeze right over top of my entire bed. Given my room can get hot this was an incredible game changer. Overall this is a powerful fan that lets you direct the air in more ways that you probably even want to. It blows hard, isn't too load and is easy to use, not sure what else you could want in a fan.

Let's start with the quick and simple first. As far as tower fans go, this one is absolutely great. Overall, it's probably one of the most unique fans I've seen in the market so far, and I love the versatility of it. It looks strange at first with the fin-styled arms, but the way they have designed this thing really makes it easy to get the air where you want it. Both halves of the arm can pivot to direct the air wherever you want, separate of each other, and the fact that you can then rotate the arm so that it’s horizontal to the ground gives you even more coverage over an area than you can normally get with something like a normal tower fan. I also like the fact that you don’t give up normal features like oscillation even with this “strange” design. I will note, however, if you have it in the horizontal layout, you need to be careful if it’s in oscillation mode; the wider arm can tend to knock stuff over if you’re not careful. Overall, I’m happy with the fan, and it does what it needs to without any issues so far. One other nice thing is the remote stores on the body of the fan by magnets, so it’s a lot easier to not lose the remote as well, which is a nice touch. Overall, if you’re looking for a tower-style fan with a little more versatility, this is a great option.

Space age fan that can move air

This is one of the most unique fans I've seen. But it's space-age looks are also what give it versatility. I will say, the only part that motorized (besides the fan itself), is the b side-to-side oscillation. The fan can turn at the base to rotate the whole fan nearly a whole 180 degrees. Otherwise, rotating the "wings" to horizontal or vertical (or anywhere in-between), setting the height, and rotating the wing vents themselves are all done manually. The air comes in from the back of the base, and it has a rinsible screen filter to catch some dust and hair. There is an on/off button on the fan base, but the rest of the controls are with the wireless remote, which has a magnet in it, so it can be stuck to the fan (or any other magnetic material). It makes nice soft chimes when changing the settings (which can be turned off). With the remote, you can set fan speed, toggle oscillation, set a timer, or if it's not oscillating, you can adjust direction of the fan. There are about 12 different direction degrees you can turn the fan to. It then also has 3 specialty modes: sleep, boost, and natural. Sleep just seems to be a slow gentle breeze. Boost is basically the exact opposite, a very high fan speed. Natural varies the fan speed. The fan is a little on the loud end of things, especially at the higher fan speeds. But it's more of a "Shhhhhhh", almost like a running sink. Overall, it's a pretty neat fan, and when in vertical mode, can fit in tight spaces and move a lot of air.

This unique and powerful fan has you covered...with cool air...from anywhere in the room. In all seriousness, I wasn't sure what to make when I first put the Shark TurboBlade together. First, let me say that constructing it was easy. My 4 year old even helped me, and he loves to turn it on and maneuver the blades in different positions. Anyway, after constructing it I noticed that it was sturdier than anticipated. Additionally, while it is heavier than anticipated, I actually like that about it because it adds a good deal of stability to the base. As far as functionality goes, it's both straight forward and advanced. Straight forward in that you turn it on, select the power and cool air comes out. Advanced because you can literally focus the air on the X, Y, or Z axis....while rotating. While I've only been able to test it during the cool spring months, this is going to come in very handy on those hot days because we don't have A/C. I can literally stand on one end of the garage and easily feel the breeze all over my body when the fan is at max power on the other side of the garage. Based on the flexibility of aiming the breeze and the power of the fan, I definitely recommend.

So my wife’s first reaction to the fan is that it takes up way too much room… then I moved the blades vertically she immediately said oh that works, that should go in the loft. I was having way too much fun seeing putting it in random places to get air moving in different directions. One place I really like it was at the end of the bed where I could have air blowing on my side of the bed and then point the other side up into the ceiling as my wife hates air on her. I also put it behind the corner couch and then pointed a blade each direction so air wasn’t blowing directly onto the couch but air was moving around the couch nicely. I really like ability to move air around with each of the blades. It was easy enough to put together and for me it has plenty of strength for air movement. I think the only issue I have with it is that it is too quiet for sleep. I love the fan noise when sleeping… more so than the actual air movement. One could get a much more energy efficient noise machine I suppose but that would be too reasonable. If you want it in an area that people want to talk with while using the cooling aspect of air movement that the quietness might be a benefit. The fanbase rotates but the rest of it is manual configuration, otherwise you might need a game controller to move it into all the different possible configurations. The ‘blades’ can be rotated as well as the face of the fan from horizontal to vertical. So, if you put this at the corner of a hallway and say the living room, one fan can move air in two different areas, which I love. Overall, I am a fan of this design.

    Energy Efficient Cooling

I run a little hotter than most people so I have to have fan running almost all season. My preference is for the tower fans because of the lower noise and more focused blast of air. I figured I'd give the TurboBlade a shot since my other brand of bladeless fan left a bad taste - or bad whine in all three units. I'm gonna start this off by mention how energy efficient the TurboBlade is. At full blast it only draws 53w! I have some fans that pull that much on low. My current tower fan hits 34 on low, but at that setting it's about setting 6 on the TurboBlade and quiter. On setting 5 for the TurboBlade, which is a perfect setting for lower noise and air movement the draw is only 15w! Hooking it up to my portable battery and it can run for around 9hrs uninterrupted. Great for a power outage when you're stuck in a 90F house with no air movement like the 8 days Helene had us out. Assembly was easy and toolless. Everything snaps and twists into place and you're ready to go in no time. As much as I like the TurboBlade the one thing I don't like is the high pitch whistle. I'm not sure if it's the motor beneath or because of the thin slits the air is pushed through in the "blades", but that whistle can wear you down. Setting 5 seems to be the best to keep the noise down while pushing enough air to be useful. Going down to 3 changes the pitch to a higher whine so I'm staying away from that speed. So it's a great fan, just make sure you can deal with the noise. Some people are more sensitive to higher pitches than others.

I had a fan that we used to more or less circulate the air through our home so we wouldn’t have to use the mode on our HVAC that was expensive to run, and it finally gave out. It was a hypersonic as it was advertised so I wanted something similar. I sure am glad I received this Shark tower fan. It is very sleek and aesthetically pleasant, when our neighbor saw it just the other day she wanted to know what it was, she didn’t realize it was a fan, we had the “blade” in the horizontal position. The thing I truly love about this tower fan is that it is extremely quiet, that at times I have to walk near it to see if it’s on. And when Shark says it’s Ultra-powerful they mean it, we keep it on medium speed most of the time and it will move the curtains on our front windows and they are about 40’ away. I also like the fact that its base is heavy enough that our granddaughter who is a toddler cannot push it over and the fact there are not blades for her to stick her inquiring little fingers into. This is a very well made, pleasant looking fan that does not take up a lot of room like most box fans do. Again, it is very quiet, but also very powerful. The settings panel is well laid out and easy to read. It’s basically take it out of the box, plug it in and choose which setting you want and leave it. I highly recommend this Shark - TurboBlade Ultra-powerful BLADELESS Tower Fan.

The Shark TurboBlade fan is trying to make waves and put a spin on the typical household fan we have all been accustomed to. There are good and bad features of this fan that can either make it very useful or just come off as a basic fan that makes you do a double-take. From my point of view, you would need to be in the market for this style of fan to make it valuable and put to good use. For example, you want only one fan in the room but be able to cool different areas at the same time. This can be done by turning the arms accordingly. You could cool the upper and lower bunks in a child’s bedroom or aim one arm into the kitchen while the other is aimed at the living room. On the other hand. This fan may not be worth its value if you just need a basic setup to cool yourself on the couch or next to your bed while you sleep. With those scenarios aside, there are some decent features. The top feature is the bladeless design. This may be a selling point for families with small children and their little fingers getting near typical bladed fans. As mentioned, the dual-cooling could be beneficial also. I do like the ‘dust trap’ on the back since I noticed many of my bladed fans tend to collect dust/debris which ends up blowing back into the room. There are two negative features that lowers my review…. the air flow quality and cost. I feel the power of the air flow is not as great as one would expect from such a unit. I compared it side by side with a 15 inch round, bladed fan from a 12 foot distance with both units at their highest setting. Unfortunately, the cheap bladed fan was comparable, if not better, than the Shark.
