A bulky but manageable unit, effortlessly does its job, it is a bit heavy compared to the Rowena and the tfal unit, but research of the newer ones with the huge price sent me to a far cheaper option, if it dies quickly, its still far cheaper to replace multiple times than the uberexpensive brand.

Positives: Gets very hot quickly, steam is very powerful, knocks out wrinkles with little effort (no need to push down on iron), the pointed tip is great for getting around buttons! Improvements: the wire is to short for working with large pieces of fabric or even ironing on a large iron board. If you have the steam seating on high, the water in the tank emptys very quickly, but it last long enough to press a very wrinkled shirt and jeans. Overall, I love this iron! It's heavy duty but is not heavy in weight, It has a smooth glide, the steam is amazing, and the price was just right!

Nice weight makes it easy to get wrinkles out. Heats quickly and multiple settings allows for all clothing. Just wish cord was retractable.

The Iron was the second one I have ever owned; however, it is the one of the few I've ever used and enjoyed. It has a sold build which I like. It prevents me from slinging it around while ironing and gives me more control. The iron is simple to use and doesn't exhaust you with settings.

For those few of us that still iron in a wash and wear society...I would recommend this iron highly. It is a little heavier that my previous irons but works beautifully. I haven't come across any wrinkles that the steam option can't handle.

I like this iron, heats up quickly, easy to use, steams well. It is a substantial iron, not a small travel size, good for use at home.

I have used many different irons from inexpensive to one that was over $100. This iron is the best. Great steam and heavy duty construction. I believe this iron will last a long time. Way better than my last iron which was a Rowenta

This iron has a sturdy design which will give the user confidence that it will last. It has a big water reservoir with an opening large enough that it can be filled up by placing the iron underneath the faucet. It still comes with a cup if needed. It's has lights to tell you when the iron has reached the desired temperature. I only wish the cord were retractable.

So far love this iron, I did some research and I made the right choice. It warms up real quickly and works real well. Love it and the best thing is I feel like my clothes is ironed quicker because of how efficient it is.

I am happy with my purchase of this iron. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that it is a bit bulky and big and because there is no off button. You have to unplug it to turn it off or let it turn off by itself after 15 minute. No bueno.

Very good steam iron. Heavy enough to iron my linen blouses and my khakis. I've ironed about three loads of clothes with only one problem. While ironing I accidentally lowered the temperature by pushing button on top without knowing I had done that.

Worth spending the extra money. Does an excellent job. Gave it a 4 instead of a 5 only because there were only 2 choices of irons in the store. This one cost more but had more wattage. I feel like there might be an even stronger iron on the market, but I definitely believe you will be very satisfied with this one. I don't like to put a lot of effort into ironing and this iron gets very hot gets the wrinkles out very easily. It doesn't rust or drip water which was a problem I had with my old iron.

We were very happy with our previous Shark iron (Pro Electronic). However, after not too many years the cable was starting to give us trouble (would go off until you moved it around a bit), was surprised as overall the quality of Shark seems to be quite good. We decided to give Shark another try and we went for an upgrade with the Ultimate Professional. The added functionality is welcome and the extra weight is a plus to get a good job done (it's still quite light). Just hope this one will last much longer than the previous Shark.

My wife and I have tried possibly all of the iron manufacturers out. We found the Shark product to last a long time, very durable. We replaced our old Shark after 4.5 years of use, which was suprising. My wife irons everything, didn't know I married a women like my mother, she irons cloths, curtains, sheets and sometimes makes a great grilled cheese, just kidding not really. When she wears this iron out in hopefully 5 years or more, we will purchase another Shark and will always recommend this product to everyone, when we strike up an ironing conversation.

After trying my hands on a few different irons from different manufacturers, I decided to give the Shark Ultimate a try and so far, I’ve been blown away by the performance of this iron. First of all, the price tag is very economical considering aesthetics, and how handy the iron is. Secondly, it heats up fast and does a pretty good job on any type of fabric. So, I would buy this iron again and again if need be.

Heavy Duty Non drip iron Huzzah!

Finally a heavy duty non-drip iron that heats up to a temperature that actually removes wrinkles from clothes and fabric. As a seamstress with arthritis I was afraid to buy a heavy iron because of the weight. But this iron's weight is sufficient to eradicate wrinkles without any extra effort from me. In addition, The 1800 watts of power makes ironing quick work. Also for sewing I like the fact that it has an automatic cut-off when not in constant use. HOWEVER the best feature for this arthritic seamstress is the push button selection guide located on the top of the handle. My previous shark iron had the dial located under the handle on the top of the iron itself. Whoever designed that dial selector ought to be fired. My previous shark iron with less wattage had that feature and it was a constant pain to adjust the settings.
