Customers are saying

Customers value the Vertex DuoClean PowerFin's powerful suction and ease of use, finding it particularly effective on carpets. While some find the vacuum's weight a drawback and the price a bit high, many appreciate its overall performance and the variety of attachments. The relatively small dustbin size is another point of concern for some users.

Hey Best Buy - can I give this vacuum 10 stars? I originally purchased the Dyson Animal 2 but after assembling it and trying it out I had to return it. I did an exchange for this Shark and the Shark WAY outperforms the Animal 2. Why is that? 1) The vacuum is way easier to assemble 2) The parts are sturdy unlike the Dyson where the parts felt like cheap plastic 3) The suction power on the Shark is fantastic. The Dyson Animal 2 has too much suction. When vacuuming carpet the Dyson would pull the carpet up and stop the roller blades. I vacuumed a carpet with the new Shark after vacuuming the Dyson and the Shark pulled up and additional canister of dog hair and dust. 4) The Shark is PHENOMENAL at pulling up dust and dog dander - even out of sofas. 5) The front of the Shark is low enough to get under cabinet doors. 6) The Shark as 4 different ways to use the vacuum between body / canister / handle, etc. Dyson ball can't get under a bed so you need the cordless Dyson to do that. This means you need 1 Shark to 2 Dyson units. 7) Power buttons and floor adjuster are on the handle. This means no bending over to adjust the height of the vacuum. 8) The attachment that has the roller as well is fantastic on furniture. Love, love love this Shark. Very happy customer.

I have been using the Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFin Upright Vacuum for a few weeks now and I am extremely impressed with its performance. It was easy to assemble, just wish that the pictures in the booklet were in color and specific to the model instead of being generic The powerful suction combined with DuoClean technology makes it effective on both carpets and hard floors. The Powered Lift-Away feature allows me to clean hard-to-reach areas, couch , dog beds very easy. The self-cleaning brush roll is a game changer, saves me a lot of time and hassle. The vacuum is not featherweight but easy to maneuver, making it comfortable to use for extended cleaning sessions. The rose gold color adds a bit of style, if that matters. The best part, got a good deal from BestBuy during the holiday season. Overall, I highly recommend this Vacuum.

A Great Replacement & Works Very Well

I bought this vacuum to replace my old, lightweight vacuum. I needed something with power that could easily clean a hardwood floor, as well as different types of rugs. I never owned a Shark, so I was a bit apprehensive if this would do that job. Needless, to say the first time I used the vacuum I was pleasantly surprised. Clean-up was a breeze, and the high-traffic rug that was difficult for my old vacuum to clean was clean! The instructions to set-up were simple as well. It didn't take anytime to put all the pieces together and I was up and running. The price point was very reasonable as well. One thing to keep in mind, in this this is a bit heftier as far as weight. If you're looking for something super lightweight, this vacuum my not be for you. Otherwise I recommend.

Taking some time to get used to this over my old Shark Rotator Pet Professional that I loved until lower hose cracked. Miss the led on hand nozzle that I use a lot. No idea why Shark dropped this feature, the production savings can’t be that big and I see so many consumers comment they miss it. Definitely leaves my carpets & tile and wood cleaner than the old Shark ever did. It will suck up anything in its path! Hoping the extension handle hose stretches with use, it doesn’t have the reach my last model did, so I have to do the lift away most times I use the hand nozzle. Cup fills fast in my home with a large dog and cat and 3 ladies with long hair but no tangle and it does not seem to lessen suction. Very glad i purchased on a great sale. I’d buy a Shark every time, but I think there are comparable models to this one that I’d look at more before buying. It’s a little heavy and I need a bigger cup and longer hand wand hose. I wish it came with the angle brush piece to use with crevice tool-I have and old one rigged up on it now. Good vacuum I’m just missing the ease of use my older Shark had…disliked this for first couple of weeks because it was a workout to push and lift—used to it now and I’m liking it more now and seeing value in trade-offs for cleaner floors & no hair tangled brush roll when I’m done!

I recently purchased a Shark vacuum, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance! This vacuum is powerful, lightweight, and does an excellent job on both carpets and hard floors. Pros: ✔ Strong Suction: Picks up dirt, pet hair, and debris effortlessly. ✔ Easy Maneuverability: Swivel steering makes it simple to navigate around furniture. ✔ Versatile: Works great on carpets, hardwood, and tile. ✔ Bagless & Easy to Empty: The dustbin is simple to remove and clean. ✔ Great for Pets: Picks up pet hair with ease, and the filters help reduce allergens. Cons: ➖ Cord Length: While manageable, a slightly longer cord would be nice.

I recently purchased the Shark Vertex vacuum and have been extremely impressed with its performance. This vacuum has solid suction power and easily picks up dirt, debris, and pet hair from both carpet and hard floors. The swivel steering makes it easy to maneuver around furniture and tight spaces, and the LED headlights are a nice touch for seeing dirt in dark corners. One thing I really appreciate about the Shark Vertex is how easy it is to empty the dust bin and clean the filters. It's a quick and simple process that doesn't require any extra tools or hassle. The vacuum also comes with a variety of attachments that make it versatile for cleaning upholstery, stairs, and other hard-to-reach areas. Overall, I highly recommend the Shark Vertex vacuum for anyone in need of a reliable and powerful cleaning solution for their home. It has definitely met and exceeded my expectations in terms of performance.

    Perfect Vacuum!

I purchased my vacuum/warranty on 12/16/2021 and it was delivered on 12/18/2021. I got it on a promotion of $130 off. So if you wait, you can get this vacuum for the same cost around that time of the year. I would start looking around the next major holiday which will be Memorial Day. I was a little skeptical about purchasing a Shark vacuum because I honestly didn't know much about them. I was ignorant to the brand and truthfully, I never cared enough about my vacuum to do research on a new one or any features that were available to me in a new vacuum these days. I thought they all did the same thing. I was happy with my old vacuum until my coworker started talking about his shark he bought for his home. I previously owned a Hoover WindTunnel 2 with a rewind cord that I purchased from BestBuy about 6yrs ago. Great vacuum, but I now know it had its limitation. My Shark is by far superior in almost every way. I say almost because well...there's really only one thing that bugs me but it's minor. Suction: The Shark vacuum is the most powerful vacuum I've ever owned. It pulled so much fine dust out of my carpet that I almost felt disgusted and embarrassed even though it was only my wife, my mother in law, my kids and myself in the house at the time. It was really crazy the amount of dirt it pulled out of the carpet. No one could believe their eyes. Features: The number of features are well above my expectations. There's so many features, that I can't type them all here. There's the lift away, brush rollers, nozzle configurations, attachments, suction power, additional attachments you can purchase, complete sealed system...I mean...there's really just too many. I missed some by the way. Sealed System: This is by far my favorite feature. It's not the primary reason I went with a Shark but it is the primary reason I upgraded my vacuum. I have a dog and as many of us know that own pets, pet dander can cause sneezing and allergies to act up pretty badly. My old vacuum wasn't a sealed system and would kick dust particles back into the air and I would be sneezing off and on for up to an hour after vacuuming. I thought that maybe the head of the vacuum was kicking up dust. Nope, come to find out it was the non-sealed system. That's all stopped since purchasing this new vacuum. Lift Away: I'm highlighting this feature because it is the primary reason I purchased THIS shark vacuum. The lift away feature allows me to convert to a stick vacuum within seconds. We have furniture that we need to get under and we simply couldn't do that with any other traditional vacuum. I didn't want to purchase just a stick vacuum because the canister was never big enough and it was by the handle which makes most stick vacuums heavy after a while. Attachements: I won't really go into this because BestBuy lists what you can get, but I will say all the attachments that come with it are listed correctly and they are very worth it! What Bugs Me: Well, I'm used to a tradition canister vacuum that agitates the carpet enough to give you those deep vacuum lines. It always made me feel as if I was getting my vacuum clean and my OCD would always force me to give my carpet those vacuum lines to give it that freshly vacuumed appearance. This particular vacuum does that, but it's not as apparent as my old vacuum. This one has a head that rests on top of the carpet and slightly agitates the carpet but it has WAY more suction. I suppose you don't want to just rip into your carpet anyway but, it's just something that I grew used to seeing. There's so much to actually dive into about this machine that it would take me forever to type it all out, so I'll leave it at this point. I can confidently say that if you need a new vacuum, get this one. It's worth it, even with my OCD not allowing me to enjoy my vacuum lines like I used to.

I had no expectations for the Shark Vertex DuoClean Power Fin upright vacuum. Right out of the box it glides effortlessly across both carpet and hard floors, picking up dirt and debris with ease. The DuoClean technology is impressive, and the Power Fin feature really helps to deep clean my carpets. The transition between surfaces is seamless, and the vacuum's maneuverability is very easy. Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with this vacuum's performance.

The vacuum was easy to assemble and not as heavy as I expected. It seems to have plenty of suction, and hair has not been getting stuck around the brushroll. The cord is an ample length. The dust cup is easy to empty. I prefer a canister vacuum, but they seem to be hard to find. The previous Shark that I owned had an option for purchasing a wheeled base that you could use to convert the upright into a canister, but I cannot find one for this model. The vacuum must be modified in order to be able to sweep under the bed, sofa, etc., which I am not fond of doing. It does not have an automatic cord winder.

This is a phenomenal vacuum, it picks up just about anything. But there are cons to it, over time (about a year) the prongs wore out connectimg to the head of the vacuum but was fairly cheap. The other con of mine is that you cant take the head apart to clean it thoroughly and if you do take it apart it is a process needless to say. Im also noticing the fins are starting to wear down on the large roller a decent amount (about 1/2 of what they used to be) and the cost of the whole head is pretty expensive. But overall its a great vacuum, the suction is just as strong as it was the day we purchased.

Before this Shark, I've owned the Shark Professional and the Shark Navigator and neither even come close to comparing. I have also used my mom and sisters Dysons and the Vertex is the most powerful vacuum to date!! It may not be the lightest on the market but to me lightweight also means not powerful. There are 3 settings for the suction from strong, more strong and will suck the shirt off your body! The vertex leaves the most beautiful carpet lines if you care about that OCD quality like me! haha No hair gets caught underneath due to the new technology. The attachments are helpful and durable. I love this vacuum SO much, the only con is that I can afford to have one on each level of my house. If youre torn between this or the Dyson.. BUY THE VERTEX. Im a regular person, not paid for this review either.. Just love cleaning and my new shark!

Ordered a Hoover Maxlife Max in Jan 22. It's not a bad vacuum, but it seriously doesn't compare to this. Went over the same area rug with the Shark a day after I did with the Hoover and pulled 3x the amount of dog hair out as I did with the Hoover. Being able to use the wand without the canister attached allows me to vacuum under my bed and the stairs with so much more ease. It is light weight and nimble. It also has no issue with carpet or heights, or switching to hardwoods/bare floor. That is nice being that I have all 3 in my house. I'll leave it at this, it is as if I have never had a proper vacuum until I got this. Honestly can't say enough good things about it.

I am very pleased with my new Shark Vacuum. This is just what I was looking for to clean my hard wood floors. Instead of pushing the dust and dirt around this brush roll actually picks up everything. Before I got this vacuum, I had to sweep my floors and it seemed that no matter how much I swept the floors were still not clean. I was continually going back and sweeping again. Not anymore with this vacuum it's one and done. The suction is really good. I could tell a difference in the suction after cleaning a few times. It is very important to keep the filters clean, which is very easy. I cleaned mine with soap and water and it dries very quickly. I absolutely love the fact that I can reach under my bed and clean. This feature is something that I have never had in a vacuum. It is easy to hold the canister and operate the cleaning brushroll. The canister is a little heavy, but I knew this before buying. The release of the handle is very easy. You just push a button and pull the hose out and you can clean your baseboards, walls, furniture, and corners. Everything in this vacuum was what I was expecting. It is easy to operate. Another feature I like is that the power switch is on the handle. With this feature you have better control because the power switch and the level adjustments are at your fingertips. I am very pleased with this purchase. I would buy it again and I do recommend it to anyone who needs a good all-around vacuum. Especially someone with hard wood floors. The assembly was very quick and easy. The instructions are very simple and easy to follow.

We bought this vacuum to replace our previous Shark that finally lost its battle with dog hair and frequent use. This is a big improvement over our previous model, which was excellent. The roller at the front of the vacuum picks up dirt, debris, and pet hair much closer to furniture than any vacuum we’ve had in the past. It has enormous suction and feels like it’s going to pull the carpet off the floor. The only downside, if there is one, is that this vacuum is heavy. Once the rollers / brushes start up it’s easier to maneuver but until then you really feel the heft of it. Outstanding vacuum cleaner!

Overall, I am satisfied with the Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFin Upright with Powered Lift-Away. I am a professional cleaner, and I've done a ton of research on vacuum cleaners. I want a Miele or Sabo canister vacuum (built to last, works well, not made in China), but this shark fits my budget, and they work well. The design of the Shark Vertex has all the features I need to clean a house efficiently and thoroughly. I've used this vacuum a couple of dozen times now, so I am getting a good feel for how it performs. I bought it during a Black Friday Sale, so I got it for about $250. It's worth this price, and I suppose I would still have paid $450 for it had I needed it when it wasn't on sale. Positive: The suction is powerful and seems to pull up debris deep in the carpet. I love the three suction options (carpet, hard floor, and high pile or area rugs). Putting the switch on the handle is very convenient. It is nice to be able to vacuum those smaller rugs that would otherwise get sucked up in the brush roll. The suction is very powerful when just using the wand, too. The powered lift-away design is awesome. It makes it so easy to do stairs or to walk around to do edges or hard-to-reach places. The Powered lift-away is a must in my profession. I can get under beds, tables, and furniture easily. I like the subtle colors. The power bush works awesome! The lights on the motor help me see in darker areas. It's very maneuverable. Negative: This vacuum is heavy. While the power button on the handle is very convenient, it is hard to push. Sharks are not built to last. If you take care of them, they might last for four years. If you use it every day like me, I wouldn't expect it to last more than a couple of years. Sharks are disposable vacuums; I would rather pay more for something that won't end up in the landfill so soon. I hope this review helps someone make a smart purchasing decision.

So far so good. Very impressed with the suction and versatility. The design is great for getting under couches and beds, and the hand tools work very well too. Very good and getting dog hair. Minor complaints so far: It seems considerably heavier than my last upright, so consider that if you're concerned about carrying it up and down stairs. Also, it's a little annoying that it comes with three tool attachments and only two spots to put them, so you always have an extra one to stash. The exhaust port is pointed in a way that it seems to be constantly blowing papers off shelves as I get near them. I guess that's a trade-off for the power.

I can't say enough good things about this vacuum! The suction power is absolutely incredible! I did a little experiment and let my Roomba vacuum my whole house. Then I vacuumed immediately after with my new Shark - Vertex DuoClean PowerFin and I was amazed at how much more dirt, dust and dog hair came out of my carpets! It is also excellent at cleaning hard tile as well. I love how you can set the vacuum to high pile, low pile or hard floors. This was the best vacuum I've ever owned, this beats out Dyson by far!!!

First impression is very good. I had a Shark Navigator Liftaway from 2012 before this one, but needed an upgrade. We have mostly hard floors with a couple area rugs, and this vacuum is making a huge difference compared to our old shark. I love that the dust and crevice tools are on the base now, so they won't be falling off mid-vacuum. The cord is a lot longer than the older models, too. A huge plus. I love the adjustable speed/power for different surface types, it makes cleaning a breeze. So far, I'm happy with the new vacuum and hope it continues to perform above my expectations.

This vacuum is amazing. We have been using a Dyson ball animal for 10 years. It always smelled like it was burning so we replaced it. Hooked up this Shark and did a once over on the carpet. It was so gross. It is like the Dyson was not sucking up anything. The carpet looked so much cleaner and the Shark got up so much dust and hair. The only down fall, is that it is a lot more heavy. Wife is only 110 lbs and it hurts her shoulder after vacuuming the house.
