Customers value the Vertex DuoClean PowerFin's powerful suction and ease of use, finding it particularly effective on carpets. While some find the vacuum's weight a drawback and the price a bit high, many appreciate its overall performance and the variety of attachments. The relatively small dustbin size is another point of concern for some users.

I was originally looking for a vacuum stick, I needed something lightweight, good suction and that could vacuum my floors, I went on and got the shark pet plus, well it sucked! Suction was very weak, it cleaned but not worth 250 in my opinion. So I went on to exchange. I did so digging and I ran into this one, yes it’s wired but I read battery dies easily on those stick wireless ones, while I wanted lightweight I need something powerful. I have kids and I’m always cleaning so I wanted something worth my money. Got this on sale, next day went back to regular price. I LOVE LOVE LOVE. It’s not the lightest in weight…. but the suction is amazing! And it kinda just glides, and works on all floors. You can also detach the canister and use it as a stick for like tighter places. I am very pleased. I’m more traditional so I think wired is what works best for me. I can clean my entire house without needed to take a break to recharge.

Wow, where do i begin...
First off, Im a single father rasing two highly active preteen rascal boys along with rescue cats that have shown up at my door over tge years. The boys nature is to consume and destroy so there is a lot of mess along their paths of destruction and obviously there is plenty of cat hair.
Ive always used Bissell or Hoover vacuums, I think Ive gone through one of each in the last 12yrs and they were the $70-90 models. The vacuums sucked up the food crumbs, dust, dirt and removed the cat hair I seen so on the surface things looked fine and I was satisfied. They did what I required of them and they fit my budget.
I recently ordered some high end carpet to replace whats left of the 15yr entry level I bought when the boys were infants/toddlers. After watching the carpet wear away from cleaning and traffic I learned that the life of a carpet might be rated as such but add growing kids to the mix and 15yr becomes 8-10 if your lucky.
Anyways, I knew that I needed to do my research on my quality of carpet, pad etc but I also know that how you clean your carpet and what you clean it with factors into its life, so began the vacuum research.
I was diligent and thorough which was like torture cause I was fine with the low end appliances I used before but I need to protect my investment best I can.
It basically came down to Dyson and Shark. Everything else wasnt even close to their level with the vacuum lineups. The warranty is what closed the deal between the two.
Initially i wanted to get a cheaper model but the suction performance of this model was the elite, the ability to convert and use powered rollers was great and the powered pet hair attachment was just icing on the cake.
I think i had the vacuum in my cart for like 2 days before i dropped the coin on it. As a guy i didnt care about the money but using almost 500 on a vacuum cleaner...
Honestly it was the most depressing purchase ive ever made. I was not excited to have spent that much on a stupid carpet cleaner and when it came i just left the box sit like an unwanted guest in the front room.
I was certain i bought the very best at my budget but i still didnt like having done so. I sulked for a day and finally opened it today...
WOW!!!!!
This thing is awesome!
The suction is ridiculous. I knew it was rated high but dang! This thing was almost impossible to move when set to bare floor on carpet. Felt like a dog holding on to a toy hes keeping from you.
Once i figured out the buttons settings and used it propely it became a well trained pup gently leading me on the walk because it knows the way and is well behaved.
It felt self propelled with that duo setup. Its so smooth with the rollers and direction control from the wrist and the LED head light is like cruising around in a new car.
I was like ok then...im liking this, what else can it do...
So much fine cat hair that must have been ground in the old carpet and rug came out. It kooked like olf angel hair and there was a lot.
I started messing with the attachments and configuration options and began to appreciate the models design and color scheme along the way. Its classy for a sweeper.
The powered pet hair attachment is nuts! Its like a garage power tool. Its great.
Both the powered features are. They do exactly as advertised but better.
The vacuum was a great buy! Im well past satisfied. I started to get into looking for what else i could clean with it because its just that good!
After i got settled down about an hr later i could feel the rug like i hadnt in years along with whatever life it could salvage out of the old carpet. What really caught me by surprise was the way i could breath and feel the air freshness. That cat hair that was compacted in the carpet and rug was really bad and i wasnt aware of it.
Look, if your are coming from the cheap seats like i was and can afford this then dont hesitate because its worth it. Its hard to explain the difference its just something yiu have to feel and experience to get it if you havbt been at this price point before.

These are the best vacuums! Get it over a dyson if you have pets! The ability to release the cannister to go under furniture makes it as versatile as a cordless and the drive motor makes it super easy to clean carpet! It gets much deeper into carpet than our previous shark did and we loved that vacuum as well! It comes with a pet brush wand attachment that also has the powerfins and it does wonders!

Pros: Definitely has a powerful suction. I do like that the on/off button is on the handle. Also, the switching from carpet to bare floors is also on the handle. The canister can easily be cleaned out. I’m happy with the product, it does the job. Cons: I will say this vacuum cleaner is a bit heavier than my last one. Pricey, but it does the job. Thankfully I got on sale.

The Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFin Upright Vacuum is an absolute powerhouse! The suction is incredibly strong, and it easily picks up pet hair, dirt, and debris from both carpets and hard floors. The DuoClean and PowerFin technology really make a difference, everything feels cleaner after just one pass. I also love the Powered Lift-Away feature, which makes it easy to clean under furniture and above-floor areas.
The self-cleaning brushroll is a game changer. No more cutting tangled hair! The vacuum feels high-quality and looks beautiful in the rose gold finish.
The only drawback is the weight. It’s a bit on the heavy side, especially when moving it up and down stairs or doing longer cleaning sessions. However, the excellent cleaning performance more than makes up for it.
Overall, it’s a fantastic vacuum for anyone looking for deep cleaning power and advanced features—just be prepared for a little arm workout!

You guys!!
This vacuum is incredible. First of all I’m going to start out by saying that not only is it beautiful but my jaw literally dropped when I used it for the first time, the canister was filled over over the Max line and I had vacuumed the day before with my old vacuum that was about to kick the bucket. It almost pulls itself when running and the upholstery tool is so powerful. It also has a flashlight which I loved for vacuuming under furniture or other darker areas. 10/10.

After not being able to vacuum the carpet after moving due to only having a hard-floor vacuum, I can safely say that the heavy-carpet/rug option works to digging into the carpet and pulling up dust and debris. It also works as a hard floor vacuum, effectively making my old vacuum useless.
Assembling the vacuum was easy with the quick start-up instructions and necessary to fully use the capability of the vacuum (as you're probably unplugging everything to dusting out the ceiling).
Price range (at the time of purchase, it was $250) was a bit much considering that some competing brands for the same price range can be a wet/dry vac (this is only dry); but at the time of wanting an upgrade, it was a good purchase made.
Most replacement parts are available in the Shark website (filters, the decorative shield, the decorative logo, etc), but some third party parts are also available in the open market for a fraction of the cost (e.g. filters).
If anything, I wished it could take a bit more liquid than nothing.

The Shark Vertex replaces my 16 year old Dyson. I love the versatility and power of this vacuum. It is powerful! I also like the light on the front and I now see many areas of floor that I routinely missed. The lift away is great for cleaning in hard to reach areas and baseboards. The 3 levels of suckion works for carpets and throw rugs. And no hair wrap is great! So far I love this vacuum!

I decided to replaced my Dyson with a Shark. I was worried that I would be disappointed, but I’m only disappointed I didn’t switch years ago. The duo clean is phenomenal at cleaning our hard floors and carpet both. The airflow on this machine is incredible! Also the build quality of this seems better than the Dyson.
There are a few things I don’t like though.
1. The hose can be hard to use for extended use. Yes, you can use lift away but when cleaning lots of above ground area I don’t want to carry the machine everywhere.
2. The bin is to small. This machine picks up tons of dirt and you’ll constantly be emptying.
3. On carpet the machine works great but it can get tiring to use as it pulls against you.
With that said, the pros far out way those three cons and I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a powerful corded vacuum.

Have had this about a month now and am very pleased so far. It isn’t as light as my old Bissell and going from bags to canister is a learning curve, but the cleaning is phenomenally better. Multi surface was my main priority and cleaning the stairs, both of which have shocked me with how good they are! The unit is self propelled in a way that it will pull you hard, but I like that since my old vacuum had to be pushed hard over the rugs and wore me out. I love that the canister lifts off and I love the ‘pet hair’ attachment even though I don’t have a pet. It cleans every crumb off the stairs from kids and being able to go from high pile shag rug to carpet to kitchen floor with a simple button is outstanding. The cord seems longer than most also, which is an under appreciated value add. The suction level is also great and I recently was able to fully clean out my dryer vent (after removing the cover) which I wasn’t able to fully do with my Bissell. Overall I’m very pleased and really looking forward to the peace of mind of less unknown dust in my house.

Very powerful. I love how it cleans the wood floors so good and then right on to the carpet. The hairs don't wrap around the roller like other vacuum cleaners. It's easy to empty right into the trash can. You can take the canister off with the push of a button and then easily clean under the bed. Worth the money.

I absolutely LOVE this vacuum! A friend suggested we buy it since we were researching new vacuums for our new home. She named all the good things about it, so why not!? When I tell you I will NEVER buy another brand of vacuum again, I mean I will NEVER do it. This is the most amazing thing I have ever used. I have hardwood and short carpet in my home and the fact that I can interchange between the 2 options while it is running is a Godsend. The suction is like nothing I have ever seen or felt before. The vacuum literally pulls itself. The bristles are really self cleaning, it is easy to empty out the “trash compartment”, the wand and other accessories are easy to use, I LOVE the fact that I just put my foot on the head and it tilts back, and it picks up so much. If I had to “complain” about anything it would be that I would love a cord that wraps up inside the vacuum with a push of a button because I’m not a fan of wrapping it myself, but that isn’t even really all that bad. Honestly, if you’re searching for something that does it all then this is for you! You won’t regret it, I know I sure don’t.

First of all, I loved that I needed no tools to assemble this unit. Everything was just snap into place.
I didn’t read anywhere but the unit is almost “self propelling”. The effort to push forward is minimal. The unit does most of the work.
I like the blade design so that it’s self cleaning and no hair to get tangled up.
The dust container capacity is on the smaller side but it forces to you empty it :)

I love shark because it is easy to use, easy to get corners and underneath the furniture, and it is not very heavy! on the newer models like this, you get to have all the attachments attached to the device which is perfect.
It is very powerful too!
If you are scared of vacuuming every time you are thinking about it, like me! I recommend this vacuum! It helps you to face your fears ;)

The best! Was a little back and forth about this because of the cost. After a week I now see why. It’s so versatile to different cleaning situations. It has great suction, cleans like a champ on all kinds of surfaces and easy to move. BTW we bought this after taking back our dyson which was a pain to use the hose (even after calling their support). This is night and day different. Highly recommend!

I'm a vacuum snob. I research and try out vacuums for fun. But I have come back to this vacuum over and over again; it's incredible. It's deeply powerful on carpet and literally leaves no crumbs on hard floors. The powered lift-away feature gives you the same maneuverability as a stick vac but with the suction of a flagship upright.
My only complaint is that it is, indeed, pretty heavy. But that weight is indicative of the power and quality. Not to mention the rose gold is super cute!
