It works great but only lasts about 15 min! To be fair Ive tried 3 different brands and they all dont last very long. The technology just isnt there yet to make it worthwile in my opinion. Back to my corded Shark it is!

Very nice and powerful cordless vacuum

With this model, Shark is launching a cordless vacuum that significantly increases the performance of its two previous models (that I also own and I compared against).
What I think is positive and you are going to like it:
The design: this is a lighter model with a more modern-looking design. The color and the display are both functional and great aesthetic. The info displays all: remaining battery, cleaning mode, and surface mode.
Operation: three elements to mention here that are awesome: power and less weight in quite contained noise performance. The rotor has a lot more power than its predecessors. Comparing one on one this Is taking more dust than anyone and is less noisy.
I see a bit of the same good:
Similar brush roll model. Very powerful for all kinds of surfaces. In this model, the brand refers to self-cleaning technology and a hair wrap but I am not sure that I can assure you that is perfect. Perhaps some fewer hair cumulates, but with some pets in the house, there is a lot of hair on our floors and I still see that over time, some hair accumulates in the roll. From time to time (I used it for 5 days) I imagine that some manual maintenance could be needed.
` Diversity of accessories and tools for all types of jobs and the two functions: manual and traditional extended wand.
The wand includes multiflex technology that allows you to adjust the wand to a lower angle to reach surfaces under furniture. The same flexibility can be used to reduce size storage.
` Great guarantee for the product.
` What I think that still can be improved:
Need to add a second battery, this model only comes with one. With the previous model, I found that adding a second battery in the box to use one the first one is recharging was a game changer. I also liked when I had the second cordless model that shark was still using the same model two models ago. Here is only one battery and a different model than my others shark cordless vacuums. With this one, I can not use any of the other three bateries.
The flexible wand design still is a source for blockages and clogs.
One final recommendation, based on my own mistake, before doing the first cleaning try to use a wet mope in the dust container to eliminate the static in the plastic. This is quite important otherwise you could make emptying the first dust more complicated work than needed.
The main conclusion, I recommend this model if you are looking for quality work with a simple powerful operation and nice design. But I wish shark adds a second battery.

In my real world use of this fantastic vacuum, the Shark Vertex has plenty of suction power for hard wood and carpets. I have 2 little dogs and on medium and of course high power setting it cleans the floors as efficiently as my much larger Shark Apex. A big plus is this more compact Vertex has Sharks new PowerFins and still also has the soft brush roller for fine particles. If there was a down side, it will be if you have a larger house full of carpet, and like me, move slower on carpet to get the deep down dirt out. You will want a second battery, which sadly is not part of this kit. I have 60/40 carpet to hardwood. I used the highest setting most of the time and only got 13 minutes before the vacuum ran out of power. And it takes hours to get the battery fully charged, but the battery can be removed for easy recharging or swapping if you have additional batteries. There are of course 3 power settings to extend battery life (low/med/high). Low might be great for light dusting or dust bunny capturing on smooth floors. I see medium power best for throw rugs and hardwood and high for wide open carpet and pet hair suction.
One of its cool tricks is to bend in half to get under furniture or standing upright for storage. And when its time to empty and clean the Vertex. Its parts come apart to clean the unit or become a smaller more portable vacuum. Shark has paid attention to make a great high suction hand vacuum that only lacks an additional battery that you will certainly wish you had. Even the three included tools are nice quality. Although, a bag to store them might have been nice, but that's a very minor omission.
I am once again a happy Shark customer.

I love the Shark® Cordless Vertex™ Pro Vacuum! Cleaning our home has never been any easier. The Vertex Pro's battery life is more than enough to allow me to vacuum our entire home, even under our bed. I used to have to move the mattress just to be able to vacuum under the bed, but with the Shark® Cordless Vertex™ Pro Vacuum being so flexible, I am able to reach under the bed with no problem.
The vacuum charges very quickly. When I first charged it, I though that there were no indicator lights, but they are located on the side of the vacuum itself. I was expecting for them to be near the charging port. It took about an hour to get a complete charge.
The digital display makes it easy to change vacuum suction setting and switch between carpet and bare floor. The charge percentage display is huge, which is great so you don't run out of juice in the middle of a cleaning.
One of the downsides to the Shark® Cordless Vertex™ Pro Vacuum is storage. I wish that there was a bracket to hang the vacuum and is attachments on the wall. At least provide an area on the vacuum itself to store attachments. This is my only complaint, as you will have to find a safe place to put the attachments.
In terms of function, the Shark® Cordless Vertex™ Pro Vacuum is great. It has lots of suction strength and makes cleaning so much easier. I would definitely recommend it!

This vac has some very nice features that immediately stood out to me. First, the power head floor nozzle has both a hard floor roller and a carpet roller so as you go through your house you can switch from hard floor vacuuming to carpet vacuuming with a press of a button, no need to change any attachments. Also, the wand has a flex joint that bends down so you can go right under low standing furniture without having to stoop down or bend way over to get under things. It easily goes under beds and other low clearance furniture with its low profile floor nozzle and flex handle. It will go under anything with a clearance of 3 1/4 inches or more.
After an initial charge, vacuuming, and recharge I got 40 minutes cleaning time on the deep-clean (medium) setting while switching from hard floor mode to carpet mode and back again as I went through my house. Charging time is about 3 1/2 hours.
The unit comes with 3 attachments, a furniture brush with removable brush head, a 6 inch reach crevice tool, and specially shaped blind/ceiling fan cleaning tool that can go in between the blinds or reach on top of ceiling fan blades.
The rollers and suction are powerful and it does an excellent job deep cleaning carpets. I have 3 dogs and a cat and it easily gets all the hair, dust and dirt off the hard floors and out of the carpets. The carpet roller is designed to not get hair wound around the roller and it works as intended. After 3 whole house cleanings including carpets there was no hair wound around or stuck to the carpet cleaning roller. The hard floor roller is removable for easy cleaning.
All the components of the vac are sturdy and high quality, and operation is simple and straight forward. This is a great vac, especially for use on a combination of hard floors and carpeting.

Have both cats and a child, it's important for me to have a reliable vacuum for every day messes and helping eliminate pet hair. Shark is always a trusted brand for me as their products are high quality and innovative.
This is a great option if you're looking for a cordless vacuum that can clean hard to reach places, has a great battery life, and also uses a new style of brush roll to prevent hair wrapping.
This product includes vacuum, battery and charger, crevice tool, dusting tool, and pet tool. Set up is very easy and straight forward. Once you've unboxed, charge the battery for maximum battery life.
I've found this vacuum has extreme power compared to other cordless models I've found. It takes minimal effort for me to get my carpets cleaned. It also has flexible technology so you can clean under furniture as well as corners of walls and ceilings. Since I have very high ceilings, it's hard to get to some of the taller areas for dusting. The dusting attachment also helps to get debris and not irritate my allergies.
I really love that this vacuum as an IQ display that shows battery life and performance specs. You can also detach this and make it a handheld vacuum for cleaning in cars and other places.
Pros:
-Cordless
-Rechargeable battery
-Display with performance
-Self cleaning brushroll
-Powerful suction
-Large dirt canister
-Can be handheld
-Flexible for hard to reach placements
Cons:
-May need to recharge if cleaning large areas
Overall, this is a great cordless vacuum that has several useful features not seen in other options. It also comes with the high quality Shark brand name and is a reliable.

My new Shark Cordless Vertex pro vacuum is awesome! I do have pros & cons, My favorite pro is that it has the paddles for self hair & fur removals not like the traditional bristle brush where I would have to take apart the vacuum to get to the wheel & cut hair off, I have long hair & I tend to lose a lot so it’s always everywhere I use to sweep before I vacuumed lame. The flexibility of the handle/stick is great! It came with an attachment for crevices worked great on the sofas & corners. It’s not as loud as a traditional vacuum I did find it to be somewhat quieter not that it matters to me really. It is light weight, has a detachable handle for smaller stuff. Worked great on the hard floors. Only con my carpet which is kinda fluffy so it didn’t work on that portion of the house, it took a few vacuums to find one that worked on it in the past.

Flexible Solution for Cleaning and Storing

If you're searching for a flexible, easy to use and store cordless stick vac, the Shark Vertex Pro Vacuum might be something worth considering!
Display - The display is a bit bland in design, but completely functional. It displays power, cleaning mode, and runtime. Supposedly the Shark runs up to 60 minutes in ECO mode, but I have a small condo, so I don't really have the space to clean that much for that long. But, for my 30 minutes of use, it worked like a champ. Overall, with an advertised hour run-time, it makes this vac pretty much competitive to others in the market at this price range.
Brush Heads - The standard cleaning head features a two-in-one design. The soft brush at the front of the vacuum was a little weird to me, because other vacuums have a soft brush for hard surfaces and another brush head for carpets. This Vertex Pro has both in one module. Regardless, the vacuum works well on both carpet and hard surfaces. Granted, I only have rugs and hard surfaces in my home, and the rugs are low-pile. From what I can tell, it still works extremely well. Also, I feel like the rubber fins do a great job at fluffing my rugs. I was a little concerned that the fins would scratch or scuff my hard floors, but they didn't. You'll likely be fine with these.
Flexible/Foldable - Finding a place to store a vacuum is always a challenge. They are either too tall or bulky for a space. The Vertex Pro folds, so it fits perfectly in my coat closet under the coats. For cleaning some hard-to-reach places, like under desks, the vacuum bends so you don't have to bend down as much to reach under the table.
Easy to Empty Dust Bin - One of my favorite features is how easy it is to empty the dust bin. One other competing brands, you either have to twist off the bin or maneuver the vacuum in some weird way to get the bin to open. With the Vertex, all you have to do is press the latch and it easily dumps out into your trash can.
Convenient Lights - I've owned two other brands of cordless vacuums, and one thing I can say that is somewhat helpful and a differentiating feature with Shark is the LED headlights. They help light and sometimes show dust (on hard surfaces) in dimly-lit rooms.
Great for Small Places - Cleaning your stairs or the car is easy with the attachment tools. Simply remove the long wand and attach one of the other accessories to clean smaller places in handheld mode. The only gripe I would say about the included tools is that none of them include a spinning brush head for things like upholstery like many of the competing brands to for this price range. Not really a deal breaker, but still would have been nice.
Overall - I think this is a great option for those who really need to consider storage as an option. The fact that this vacuum folds makes storage easy. It has a great run-time, awesome power, and convenient accessories.

The weight distribution when the vacuum is in handheld mode is awkward. The handheld portion is sort of wide and bulky which doesn't allow it to fit in narrow spaces that I can typically reach w/ my Dyson V8. This also causes issues when using the vacuum in upright mode. While the vacuum head is low enough to go under furniture, the upper part of the vacuum handle will hit the ground before the vacuum flattens enough to reach all the way under furniture.
Not having a wall mount is listed as a feature on the box, but I personally would rather have a wall mount. When the vacuum isn't charging -- the only convenient place to rest the cord is on top of the vacuum.
As for vacuuming power, the Shark Cordless is probably better than my Dyson. I like the different power modes and it's easy to switch between hard flooring and carpet modes. There's a convenient LCD screen that tells me how much battery remains. It seems like it drops to 80% pretty quickly, but I get plenty of battery life after the initial plunge. I'm able to vacuum a 1,300 sq foot home on a single charge.
Emptying the canister is simple and painless. There's an eject button that opens the dust bin to eject debris and it snaps back closed after you're done emptying it. The vacuum handle folds forward for storage and you'll need the same floorspace as you would for maybe a 13 gallon kitchen trash can. I notice a burning smell when I'm vacuuming, but I assume that's just the factory fumes still wearing off. The vacuum is light enough to carry to its destination which will be welcome news to anyone with weight-lifting restrictions.

I have used this vacuum for a week and it’s awesome. I always used the expensive high end competitor (you know who I’m talking about) but since I got this little shark man I haven’t picked up my more expensive model the whole time.
Battery life is awesome. After a full charge…… I vacuumed the entire house using medium and high suction, then disconnected the bottom and click in an attachment and vacuumed my entire wife’s car (a full job within itself). The battery was nearly dead after all this but I was impressed.
I love the screen, mode, and suction amount selections. I can quickly navigate the house switching from carpet mode and hardwood floor mode. Changing suction speeds is also quick while navigating and helps to get those messy spots on high then switch back to medium to save battery. I think the low suction speed is slow and worthless but I guess is nice to have if you are really low on battery. The screen does show you the exact battery percentage and it’s nice and big (display).
Attachments are your typical standard ones. However, their is one that is for dusting and it’s awesome. It has felt all around so it won’t scratch your furniture, window sills, items.
Folding it is easy but you have to learn where the buttons are. There seems to be a lot of buttons but it’s so you can bend this thing in any way for vacuuming or storing.
Nifty device and I recommend this vac for any home.I would even say this could replace your home vac depending on your home size.

Terrific Vacuum

I wanted a cordless vacuum specifically for vacuuming the rug on the stairs (it will be used beyond this), and the Shark Vertex Pro worked great for that. It was so easy that it took me more time, because I did a much more thorough and detailed cleaning than I would with the old corded vacuum. Picked up plenty of dust/dirt, and it was less than about 2 months since it was last vacuumed. It will probably be done more often with the cordless.
After a charge (took under 3 hours), I was impressed with how well it cleaned. There was plenty of power, though as I mentioned I did the stairs and it used about 30% of the battery for that. Additionally, as a stick vacuum, it did a pretty good job picking up visible dirt (more visible with the included headlighting).
The vacuum folds compactly to store. The Vacuum is lighter than any similar vacuum I've used, and very portable. With a button press, you can detach it at either the bottom (if you need the stick) or the top (when you don't), and the tools clip in easily.
As per the battery, it is easily removable, which is a good thing, because all batteries die and eventually need replacement. Shortly after you press the power button to on, you get an indicator of battery percentage to get a feel for how much time you have left (it appears to round to nearest 10%). Through that same control panel you can adjust suction power manually, or select what kind of floor/surface you're working on.
The only negative is there does not appear to be any place to store the attachments on the vacuum itself. I may need to get a bag and store it somewhere near where I will be charging the battery. I admit I wouldn't want to carry around a stick while cleaning that had the attachments dangling, so maybe this was a good choice.
If you are looking for a light, portable, versatile, cordless vacuum, this seems like a good one.
