Portable, powerful pet mess hand vac

Pet-owners looking for a portable and no-fuss wand vacuum can stop their search now. Shark's Wandvac Power Pet cordless hand vac gets the job done at home and in your car to keep the areas your pet inhabits clean.
The Wandvac Power Pet comes with the wand vacuum, two tool attachments, and a handy charging stand. The actual wand itself is surprisingly long, especially with the extension tools attached, but it is not too heavy for extended use. It kind of reminds me of an airport security wand. The grip is comfortable with the buttons at the top of the device for thumb access. At times, I found myself accidentally touching them and inadvertently turning off the device, but it is generally well-positioned. On the underside of the wand is the waste release button, which is easy enough to open and drop the gathered debris into your trash. I especially like that the dust cup can be removed easily to remove and clean the filter, which can be rinsed with water and air-dried for a day.
I used the duster tool extensively, as I like the extra reach it provides and the feature which allows the bristles to be tucked back and in place while the brush isn't in use. The pet tool also comes in handy sweeping through floors and carpet for hair, though the bristles could be a little stronger.
Runtime on the Wandvac Power Pet is around 30 minutes continuously. The vac is set to Deep Clean mode by default, and for extra power, just press the Boost button. It can be conveniently stored almost anywhere while it charges due to the fairly small footprint of the stand, with a full charge from a completely dead battery taking a little under four hours.
Overall, this is a handy little vac that is easy to use, maintain, and store away. As a cord-free device, it can be used almost anywhere your pets can make a mess for a quick and simple cleaning solution.

Great For Small Spaces

The Shark Wandvac Power Pet Cordless Hand Vacuum is great for small spaces and is portable. The vacuum arrived with a charge and was usable, but I went ahead and let it sit on the charger. I did not notice how long it takes for it to charge. I love the ambient glow while charging. The power button emanates a pulsing white glow. The suction isn't the strongest, but it gets the job done. What I mean is that the vacuum is not going to suck up debris if you just hover the vacuum over it. You have to actually put the vacuum to the floor/surface in order for debris to get sucked up. I have used it to spot clean little messes and love the portability. I have used it in the car as well. The attachments are a life saver. I have used this to clean in the incredibly tight space in my recliner where a surprising amount of dropped food and other things have collected. Both of the attachments have bristles. The short attachment has soft bristles. The longer attachment has bristles that are more firm. The long one is the perfect for crevices and the short attachment is for pets. I do recommend this product.

I find this a unique looking product but it works! It feels good in the hand and feels sturdy. The unit is like a short baton. I find the charging stand shaky, but the unit fits well in while charging and that part of the design is good. The suction in regular mood is good for most quick clean ups. The 'boost' move gives it an extra kick which does make a difference. Charging is quick and so far very efficient. Battery pack is removeable for quick replacement or a spare change. The base has accessory ports for attachments which is handy. I do find that the dirt cup is very small, and the filter is also well designed with a pull out handle, but also small. A small dirt cup means it fills up quickly, and by about 2/3 the suction power does decrease substantially. For cleaning up pe hairs, the boost mode does well but it does take some 'scrubbing'. The charge life is very good. I have used it at least a few hours today and it has not been charged. I took it with me in the car. This is a very good sign !!

Sleek, Stylish, Powerful Handheld Vac

I've wanted one of these Shark WandVac Power Pet handheld vacuums since first seeing it in a mail flyer advert from one of the large chain stores we have in our local area. So I was truly delighted to be fortunate enough to get one.
Initially, it was the look of the handheld vac, which drew me. It just looked super super cool! Nothing like the traditional handheld vacuums you usually find. It almost looks like a slightly oversized deactivated light-saber.
It's really awesome that the two included attachments are housed on the charging base the vacuum rests in. Often vaccums have all these attachments with no where to store them. It's nice to have everything all neat and tidy.
While I'm not sold on the vacuum's claim of "7x the suction power" I will say that compared to other handheld vacs I've used, this Shark WandVac does indeed seem to have a notable increase in suction power to pick up more debris.
I did notice when I used the Boost function, that there was somewhat of a 'boost' to the suction power, but it wasn't as impressive a difference as I'd have liked. And emptying the dust bin and cleaning the filter was easy peasy.
As far as loudness goes, it's about what you'd expect from any handheld vacuum. My one dog doesn't like when I run the Shark WandVac. Though his brother, who's deaf, doesn't mind it at all. ;)
I'm really loving my new Shark WandVac Power Pet Handheld Vaccum! It's all I'd hoped for, and is most definitely a better alternative to traditional handheld vacs. It does the job, and is fun to use, too!

So Disappointed

I don't remember ever being more disappointed in a vacuum.
I have four dogs and two cats. We have HAIR. I thought this would be perfect for quick, in-between full vacuuming and for random litter or dry food spills.
The first thing I noticed is that this is designed to sit on a shelf or desk. I found this to be very odd. I don't know about anyone else, but my countertop space is prime real estate. It's used for cooking appliances and coffee makers. Why would I want a hand vacuum next to where I cook? There's no bracket to hang this up. Maybe it works for those who have workshop spaces, or lots of counter space. It also kept falling over on the counter.
My first test was to clean my husband's favorite microfiber oversized recliner. This is where our dogs like to lay on his lap while he sleeps or watches TV. My son also likes to eat there whenever he steals the recliner. There should have been SOMETHING on the upholstery to pick up. It didn't find ANYTHING.
So, I moved on to the shelves I have under my TV. My soundbar collects hair like you wouldn't believe. Tried the vacuum on it. Nothing. The brush attachment I was using picked up more stuff than the actual unit.
Then, I tried to use it to pick up random "tumbleweeds" (tufts of hair) that pop up everywhere. The collecting cup is SO small, it picked up a few bits of hair, then I had to empty it. At least I confirmed that it could pull stuff up -- it just didn't have anywhere to put it.
I'm not sure who this unit was designed for -- certainly not a home with pets and children. It's just not practical for us.
