My old Sharp Carousel microwave broke after 20 years. I really miss it. I settled on this microwave after trying and returning 2 others (one was the Sharp SMC1655BS). This one is smaller than the old one, but that is no problem. Here are the problems after using it for a couple of months. The least favorite first 1. The buttons are smaller and harder to use and are hard to see (not enough contrast) 2. The turntable is wobbly and comes out easily because the wheels are too big and it doesn't seat all the way. 3. In order to prevent overcooking I set power to 90. While the instructions for 1100 watts say that you have to adjust times, the old microwave was exact and spoiled me. 4. The LEDs can't be read in a bright kitchen because you see the inside of the display – I solved this by putting a light dimmer sheet over it (dark plastic stick on). 5. Because the feet are so small, it slides/moves when you push the door button. 6. It is noisier than the old one, but not too bad. 7. As mentioned by many others, selecting individual seconds is a pain. I stuck with Sharp because my very first microwave was Sharp and it lasted over 30 years (it was handed down to my mom and it was in sad shape, but was still working). I also got tired of shopping for a new oven and settled for this. This oven fits what I needed as far as size and it cooks food and heats my coffee. I use it several times a day so we will see how it

This microwave heats food well and is a great price however there are two small things that bother me about using it. 1) as noted elsewhere the numbers are a little hard to read in dim light. 2) the door closes by itself very quickly. So if I open the door then reach down to grab something from the counter with two hands to put it in if I am not very quick about it the door will be too far shut to actually get the item in the microwave. This can be irritating when trying to warm big items. But overall I am happy with this purchase and would consider this a 4 star item. good but not perfect.

It was the only one in the size we wanted and the price was good. con:The light only goes on when the microwave is running and goes out when you open the door. Also, we have not figured out how to set it for a specific amount of minutes AND seconds. For instance, you cannot choose 1 minute and 20 seconds. It has to be either in whole minutes or 30 second intervals.

Needed a medium size microwave oven, primarily for warming food. This Sharp model was decently priced. Turns out to be easy to use and attractively matches the stainless steel appliances in my kitchen.

Perfect for the price and size, not many bells and whistles but does the job at the right price

We purchased this microwave from the Best Buy store. It was a last minute purchase, but I have to admit one of the best I have made. This particular microwave is excellent. It has power so there isn't a problem microwaving anything. It is small so doesn't take up a lot of counter space. I like the most are the controls. Press the 1, 2, 3 button and you get 1, 2 or 3 minutes of microwave. Press the start and get 30 seconds. Want to add 10 seconds, there is a button for that. Want to delete 10 seconds there is a button for that. It is easy and fast. The controls are intuitive. Looks nice. I can't say enough things about this microwave. I would definitely buy again.

Chose this microwave primarily since it fit into an existing cabinet space, but also had good experience with a previous Sharp microwave. Cooking is fine but fan seems to vibrate the metal parts thus creating an annoying noise. Also, the numeric input has a different layout with the zero to the right of the 1-9 keypad. I would give positive marks that the unit has an uncluttered appearance and cleans easily.

I purchased this microwave on sale. My mom had a Sharp she bought used that lasted for 15 years without a problem. I like this microwave with the exception of not being able to set a time cook manually instead you must do it in 30 second intervals. It warms up food well. There is no light inside but I do not find that is a negative.

Needed a medium size microwave for the countertop and this fit the bill. It leaves a small footprint for those who don't have much space. I really liked the stainless face with black. One small complaint is it is not as quiet as I wanted, but not a dealbreaker. Overall satisfied for the price I got.

The microwave is nice looking until you touch it. Once touched it becomes a csi technicians dream find. Fingerprints and all different type of smudges are very visible. It heats up nice , but too noisy. It does not have option too heat for just seconds.

I updated my old Sharp microwave and am impressed by how much more efficient the new one is for all cooking and heating needs. The only challenge is reading the print on the various options since they are not illuminated. However, once you get familiar with them it's not a problem. We're very happy with the Sharp.

Nice looking however there is no interior light when door is opened and not running. Print on touch pads is very small to read , otherwise it has a clean design and is spacious inside for its space saving counter top size.

We bought this after our old microwave broke after only 2 years. We think this one could actually last awhile. Great quality,great at heating food evenly,buttons are easy to use. Love the stainless steel look,and very easy to clean and wipe down. Never looks smudged or dirty.

Sharp makes the best microwaves. This is our 3rd Sharp microwave in the last 30 years. Very durable microwaves. Lots of one touch easy access buttons. Besides the stove, the microwave, is one of most used appliance in our kitchen.

Looks great in my kitchen, I get a lot of compliments from visitors. Its big enough for my daily use.I use it at least once a day. Its easy to use and I love the oven timer that I use we baking on my stove! Cute overall. Love it!

Small size, light weight, cooks great, great price. Well lit room needed to read the dark grey numbers on the black control panel.

My microwave broke and I purchased this one during black Friday. The price was really good. I have owned it getting close to 2 months now and it has worked really great. I have no complaints. Great work Sharp!

This is just the right size for everyday use. Only issue is that it is somewhat noisy

it is very easy to use, it looks great with the rest of my stainless steel appliances. It works good!! Recommended!!
