Broke after less than 3 months.

First available appointment was 2 weeks from the date that we called Geek Squad. I am sure that it will be an additional 2-4 weeks before we have the replacement parts that we need. So far very disappointed with this Sharp Microwave. It is supposed to be the best.

Didn't make the cut

Builder said that it would fit no problem. Make sure you measure twice! Returned it and got the countertop microwave with the trim package.

Damaged upon arrival

Thermador Customer Service was excellent. However, this episode further delayed the completion of my kitchen by more than two weeks.

Pass on this one

The salesman forgot to put the extended warranty on it so when it when bad in 2020 we had to replace the $1,200 unit ourselves. It was knocking and smoking at the end. We bought another just like it ,but made sure we had the warranty this time. Just 4 weeks later it was getting very hot to the touch even though we had not used it recently. I returned it for the Bosch model, which I hear is made by sharp. I hope to have better results. Easy install and removal was a plus though and otherwise the drawer worked fine and the features were nice. Buy something else or at least make sure you have the warranty!

Sharp microwave drawer

Tried to used the new Sharp drawer and it’s not heating up. You can open and close but not heating up and it’s not even a month!!!Called and they said same unit it not available till March 14 ,2023

Most important features dont work!

Unit sat in its original packaging in our climate controlled living room until this week when it was unpackaged and installed by our kitchen contractor. Right out of the box, not only didn't the "open" button work (you had to manually pull the drawer out) but then the "START" button did not work either - basically rendering the unit non-functional. We didnt even get one single use out of it. Cant even give it a "performance" rating because it never performed! Needless to say my wife and I are very disappointed.

Defective Microwave

Sharp customer service is declining to service saying warranty is based on manufacture date of Nov 2021 although purchased Feb 2024. I am continuing to call and email Sharp - no response to date.

Glitchy

I loved for the first 6 months now all of a sudden the drawer to the microwave is on the glitch. The drawer opens up automatically half way then you have to manually open it and it happens too on closing it. All the features on the machine are great. If drawer is fixed then we got a great machine.

Worthless junk after less than two years

After inspection by a tech it was determined it needed a new power board, relay board, display board, transformer, magnetron, and capacitor for a grand total of $900. After calling Sharp they did absolutely nothing to help with the situation. You’re better off buying almost anything else.

Two epic failures

I bought one for my renovations and it had electrical,sparking,smoke issues within 3 months, Sharp replaced it only to have the same issues again. I had an independent electrician (not the same one used in the renovation) and confirmed the correct electrical support/setup. Sharp refunded my money, so sad because Sharp makes all the microwave drawers.

It didn't last two years!

Everything appears to be functioning except the most important feature: it doesn't heat anything! Drawer works. Lights light. Fan whirls. Popcorn doesn't pop.

Horrible!

We had this microwave for 2 years and it stopped heating after 2 years so we replaced it with the exact same one and this one only lasted 2 weeks!
