Nice, but bass is overwhelming

The bass is absolutely overwhelming, and this is with the X-Bass turned off. I listen to hip-hop/rap and this is awesome for it, however, when we tried to listen to some rock or the radio, the bass was so strong that it's all I could focus on. On top of that, the volume adjust is digital and there are big gaps. For instance, we started listening with volume at 11, but the bass was too strong so we tried to turn it down to level 10, but then it was too low (except for the bass, we could always hear the bass).

Got it on sale so it makes up for the little things I don't like. When radio is playing can't tell the difference between xbass on or off. If you like the highs this is not for you. Heavy but end speakers are well protected I gave it 5 stars because I got it on sale otherwise 4 stars.
