There are a few negatives. The shuffle function only shuffles the songs on 1 disc which to me is a total waste - it should shuffle the songs on all 5 discs so it mixes up the artists you are listening to. When you turn the system off the lighted display stays on and keeps rotating - very annoying. Ours is plugged to a switched extension cord which we turn off. Also the FM doesn't pick up very many stations - a country station which comes in perfect in the car in the garage doesn't come in at all.

Most of the time, 5 CD's are enough. But if we are in a marathon game playing session, the last thing we want to do is get up and start the CD player again. Not bad sound for an inexpensive system.

I don't know how long this will last but it seems to be sturdy enough to handle heavy use. fantastic sound quality, the best I have had.
