But when I play any of the "mixtapes" that I made myself over the years from different albums, strange noises are frequently heard in the background. I submitted a question about that matter, and sure enough I was told that the playback quality for self-made cassettes will not be as good as for commercially recorded cassettes. Also, when I try to play a vinyl album on the turntable that I had hooked up to the machine, the album is mechanically playing, but no sound comes out of the speakers.

This stereo is exactly what I wanted and needed in a shelf system...fits perfectly, has great sound and multiple media options.

Should have Audio in on the back of the unit rather than on the front. I had to purchase new connectors to attach an additional unit. I do like the unit however.

Was happy that I read many of the reviews first; because, from them, I knew how to shut it off so that the display went off. Also, the remote was a nice bonus. Hope to enjoy it for many years.

The only drawback is the cd changer is slow to respond. The blue tooth works great with my iPhone I was a littal worried becouse it wasn't listed on the box as a comparable device.
