I had a similar item many years ago and I totally missed it. Then I found the Mini Shelf Syatem and am very happy. Thank you for bringing music back into my life.

I purchased this stereo to replace an older type device of the same features. This review will be simple and honest, as I haven't put this unit into everyday use yet. Upon bringing this stereo home, I unpacked and assembled it on my dining room table. Assembly was straight forward and easy. The very small lettering on the instruction papers was very annoying, and I will be enlarging them on my printer to learn to use this unit correctly. Also, the lettering on the supplied Remote is equally small and perplexing. I am older and require glasses for small lettering. I will be installing this unit in my two car garage for when I'm working on my mussel cars, mowers, friends cars, etc. It's winter here now. Once I have the chance to use this stereo daily, I believe it will be very useful for my needs.

I purchased this sound system so that I could play my CDs. The Bluetooth capability is an added bonus, so I stream music from my IPad and phone too. Set up was super easy - I’m a girl and really not tech savvy but the instructions were very good and I had the system up and running in no time. The sound is excellent! I like a lot of bass so the Xbass feature is great for me. I am once again able to enjoy listening to my music collection on a quality player. For the price, this system checks all my boxes and I would definitely buy one again. Highly recommended!

Excellent buy from Best Buy!! I was looking to update from an old JVC Mini Stereo System and came across the Sharp 5-Disc Mini Shelf System at Best Buy. My requirements were for a CD system with AM/FM radio, 2 speakers, great sound and the fact that it also comes with a cassette player is an extra bonus! The sound is terrific and everything seems to work okay. Highly recommend this product because it seems to be a dying breed so get yours while you can.

This system is JUST what I was looking for. The sound is awesome and it has so many features that I need. I have placed it in the front of the room on top of a filing cabinet and I was able to separate the speakers so one is up even higher in the room for better sound distribution. There is a remote (YEAH!!!) and a tape cassette player (I still have a couple of tapes that the children love!!). In addidtion, it is so convenient to have 5 CD drawers. Also ~ it is Bluetooth embedded and has a USB port. Although I haven't used it, I did hook up the antenna for AM radio and connected the FM wire as well. The directions were very clear and I set everything up myself. The children have all been telling me how much they like the new stereo and I am so pleased. I can't say enough about this wonderful system !!!! :)

It took me over two weeks just to remove the devise out of the box because i was waiting for someone to assist me. so, I did it myself. It was so easy. Now I am dancing around the house. The sound is really good due to the speakers. I have CDs and now I can use my cassettes too! Follow the Instructions for best results.

It plays CDs and commercially recorded cassettes very well. But when I play any of the "mixtapes" that I made myself over the years from different albums, strange noises are frequently heard in the background. I submitted a question about that matter, and sure enough I was told that the playback quality for self-made cassettes will not be as good as for commercially recorded cassettes. Also, when I try to play a vinyl album on the turntable that I had hooked up to the machine, the album is mechanically playing, but no sound comes out of the speakers.

Read manual to navigate through operation. Everything works well, easy set up. Good sound. Glad I bought. Reasonable size. Small print on controls unit requires glasses (for me).

I have a very large collection of cds & this 5 disc player works great to play them while on the back porch. I've had several complements about the system. It's hard to find a good quality system now because so many people stream their music, but this works wonderfully for me. I like the additional features about the system too.

It plays CDs. It is SO LOUD when it turns on, turns off, and changes CDs--I've never owned a CD changer that was this loud. If you use the "sleep" setting, the music plays for as long as you set it, then it stops playing and the player makes SO MUCH NOISE shutting off that it wakes you up. You are also limited to how long sleep setting will play. It plays cassette tapes, too. But it does not even have "auto reverse", so if you want to hear a cassette, you have to get up & flip the tape every 25-30 minutes. Auto reverse is OLD technology and SHOULD be incorporated into this unit. The remote works very well, but some controls are ONLY on the remote, so if you are standing in front of the machine you can't adjust some things unless you are holding the remote.

My first order was not a unit I could use (no speakers)...I called and returned without any trouble...reordered unit that came with speakers and have enjoyed my CD's like never before...sound quality is great....I mounted the speakers and I am very pleased with the entire process...thank you

I rated this 5 stars because a stereo for the price - under $200 - what I expected. It easily paired with my phone. The FM tuner is good...I hope to connect it as recommended for better reception, but it is fine for now. The cassette functions fine. The CD player has me a little perplexed as I have read the owner's manual and I am having a hard time getting it to do any of the various functions. But it does work and I have been able to get it to do Random a couple of times. I haven't had time to really check out all of the functions. The sound is good for 240 watts and is just right for some background music in the living room when I have guests over. It was easy to set up...which was a plus. I would make this purchase again.

The only complaint that my wife has s that there is no clear "off" switch for the unit. This multiple CD player is exactly what she has wanted for a while. Plus the added casette player means she can pull out all her old tapes and listen to them again.

Bought this as a gift for one of my grandaughters. She discovered the excellence of 50's and 60's music. I gave her my CD collection of about 500 CD's but she did not have a player. Bought her the Sharp and it does an excellent job. She is a college student and the portability was a key factor.

I was looking for an inexpensive CD player which could handle at least 5 CDs without me having to get up and change CDs during a party. This unit fit my needs. It can handle one cassette, but handling cassettes was not my objective. It doesn't have a radio, but again that was not my objective. I set it up on my patio for background music while I host parties. Easy to set up. Worked perfectly. Can randomly play songs from any of the 5 CDs (shuffle) which is great, too.

This unit plays cassettes as well as CD's Bluetooth etc., which is why I bought it. Not many choices are available with cassette but this one was the best value for the money. Works well, plenty of power. Speaker wire is only about 36" long but it worked for my situation. Operation instructions are detailed and I suggest you read the manual to learn how to use remote and select among all the options (input source, shuffle songs and CDs. I bought an open-box and it was great and had all the manuals, etc. Remote requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included.

Sound is great. Now able to listen to my DVDs. I'm really enjoying it.

Very happy with this bookshelf system. I have a ton of CDs that I haven’t heard in years because everything is digital now. It’s been nice getting to hear that music again. I was surprised how good this stereo sounds. Super easy to set up. Has great bass, very clear and crisp sound. I’d recommend it.

Love this stereo, we got this when our daughter was a teenager... now she’s in her 40’s. She left it when she moved out due to having a bigger one. We’re just replacing the old one with a update version stereo, can’t believe they still had the same one, We highly recommend this stereo, it will give you many years of enjoyment.
