So I needed a new TV as my last one gave up the ghost. Generally I do not review black Friday stuff as it's a get by purchase. So far I am very happy clarity if great. Sounds a bit weak but still good. Would definitely buy again.

Nice picture out of the box, had to reduce the chroma level a bit though. This is one of the first TVs where the surround audio setting sounds pretty decent. However, a sound bar or AV receiver is sill recommended for better sonics. I'm making good use of the CEC function with an Android TV box since this isn't a "smart" TV.

Got this TV to go in the guest bedroom. Picture is excellent and sound output is more than adequate. I use a Fire Stick so I did not need the extra cost of a SMART feature. I would recommend to anyone looking for a top notch picture at a fair price.

I've been looking for a bigger TV that I could afford. This one was on sale, in my price range. Not at all disappointed. Great picture, Sound quality is good. I gave 4 stars only because sometimes when I adjust the volume, I can't seem to get it quite right. Sometimes it goes from too quiet to too loud when adjusting. But nothing I can't live with. Highly recommend

I use this TV as my primary Computer monitor and it is absolutely amazing. Image quality, sound, and fit and finish are outstanding.

Great price for a 40” tv - good quality picture and very light

Great quality picture. Really like the sharp color.

Pros. Excellent picture. 40" is 39" straight across so it fit perfectly in my entertainment center. Cons: pic looks faded when viewed from extreme angles. (Not an issue for my set up) Sound is fine, not great. (I use Bluetooth Speaker with my Fire stick) Overall, for the price I'd say it's an excellent deal.

After 2 years of having this tv I am still pleased with how good it still looks. It's not as smart as newer TV but I fixed that with a fire stick. Easy peasy and it still works perfect. Remote still works too.

This is a great TV. Plenty of inputs for consoles and computer. CEC to control everything, and 1080p/60 with game mode for fast response. Great multipurpose TV.

I've had this tv for about a month and am very happy with it. The question I have is when I turn it on it says "720p" in the upper left hand corner?? Picture looks fine, but not sure I would know the difference. I definitely bought a 1080p tv, though!

Was looking for an inexpensive tv for my daughter, she likes to chromecast youtube and hulu from her phone. Got this 40” tv for $149.00!! She loves it! No bells and whistles, not a smart tv, but nice 1080p, just make sure you put the leg stands on correctly or it will be wobbly. Great Bargain!

I'm loving my new t.v. the size is a perfect fit for my living room and guest. The picture is wonderful also great view.

All things considered the 40" Sharp HDTV represents a decent value for the money. In spite of the otherwise great picture quality, there is noticeable fading of the color if you are viewing from an angle. Overall it is still good enough as a secondary non smart TV set in a spare room.

I got this TV for my 8year old, her old tv wa los blurry, this Sharp looks awesome and great picture, basic and best price to pair with a Nintendo switch I will get for her on xmas

Was not looking to purchase another TV, but this was on sale and for the price was hard to pass up. Good picture and a backup in case of failure of another in the home.
