I bought this for my father who has a Comcast subscription. He would have liked to use this with Netflix and perhaps some of the other Roku features. However, we found that this is NOT a TV. In other words, he will not be able to get his normal channels or use it with the cable remote. He is already subscribed to Comcast Triple Play and Netflix DVDs (he could change to Netflix streaming),, but he is not going to want to buy into other subscriptions.
Basically, this has ruined my Christmas present to him. Plus, our travel plans have now been derailed. We have to cancel my husband's flight home tomorrow. He will need to stay here to return the Ersatz TV and get another one that will work for my 94 year-old father, since my father cannot handle the return and the TV set-up on his own.. I will have to arrange another flight home for my husband and return to NY alone since I have to be back at work next week. This "present" is going to end up costing me a small fortune.
It was not clear to me that this could not be used as a dual TV and Roku device. I would have appreciated up-front information that this will not work with the cable system. Setting this up for wireless was very easy, but then, when we found that it would not work any other way, we were horrified!

Worked great for the first year then the screen went out. Had a 5 year protection plan don't waste your money on one. They sent a gift card for the purchase price of t.v. but nothing for the extra you spend on the extended plan so don't waste your money on a plan over the 2 years as they also won't transfer remaining years to a new t.v.

TV was good when it was working I haven't had it for a year and it's already dead. One night it worked fine the next morning it won't turn on. After doing some research apparently it's a known issue with Sharp TVs not just this one. I would stay away from Sharp TVs.

This TV is total garbage. Since I bought it, it gave me nothing but trouble. It starts flashing in the middle of the night on it's own and the remote seems to be obsessed sometimes and doesn't control the TV. Very poor quality. No more Sharp TVs for me.

Worked fine for 1.5 years, then suddenly started having issues connecting to the internet. After performing several factory resets and other troubleshooting tips provided by Sharp, it is simply unusable. Will not connect to the internet, may make it as far as connecting to the cable box via HDMI, then within 5-10 minutes it reboots. Service menu indicates the TV was used only 500 hours. I did not buy an extended warranty. Can't see spending any money to repair it, so I will be replacing a 1.5 year old TV, pretty sad... likely not at Best Buy, and certainly not a Sharp. Buyer beware.

I have the 32" version of this TV. It is absolute garbage. 75% of the time, whatever you are watching via Roku stalls or freezes. On a given day, the TV just resets itself and restarts at least 4-5 times. It is not a wifi issue as I have new google wifi and the TV sits next to the router. I tried contacted the manufacturer, Sharp, who said they can't help, they just make the TV for Best Buy. Not sure if anyone has the same issues with the larger models, but I am extremely disappointed in this TV.

Not a real Sharp TV!

I bought this TV for my daughter and I didn't realize the lack of quality because I didn't watch the TV and of course my daughter didn't tell me. Fast forward to after the return window I noticed that it was extremely slower loading than my other TV's. I also noticed that there were issues with the sound. I had the TV looked at and was advised that it's just the TV. After some research I now know that this is not really a Sharp TV but best buys TV with a Sharp name on it. That explains the lack of quality. As a customer I feel cheated and simply fooled.

I bought this almost a year ago. The first few months were fine - sound and picture is ok (it was $250 on sale - I didn't expect the world). The last 7 months or so - it has been AWFUL. It dies all the time. The roku portion stalls out (not the internet - I switch to my Apple TV and no problems streaming). It is non responsive (new batteries in the remote don't help) and while it says HDTV - even while using HDMI connections it will only play either 480p or 720p. This is not even worth the cheap price. Do not waste your money on this falsely advertised piece of garbage.

Worst Wifi board

Honestly I wouldn't recommend this TV, i had this one for about 1 and half years, that's the life of it. This TV doesn't have Ethernet port, so all you have to connect via Wifi, i was having wifi connectivity issues for about two weeks, i tried everything i could, if we ask Sharp, they point to Roku, Roku points to internet provider (IP), IP points back to sharp, so it appears this is the fault of both Sharp and Roku. but they point each other. Never buy a Tv without ethernet port in it. Because you never know when your wifi board dies.

Freezes and Reboots

Really bad freeze and reboot with "Pause Live TV" option enabled. Accidently touch pause/play or ff or rw, and it automatically wahts you to enable "Pause Live TV" which causes really bad behavior freeze/reboot. The TVs goto function on freezing is reboot. I am taking it back. It has done it since day one. It is day 4. It is a one hour drive to Bestbuy. I have been a computer tech for 20 years. This is a software problem combined with a slow CPU and minimal memory. I suspect any replacement with the same Make/Model will have the same problem and one hour is to far to drive to take another chance on Sharp. Walmart is in town. I will switch to a Walmart brand and forego Sharp/Roku

I have not had any issues with this unit. Hooked it up out of the box and runs seamlessly. My only issue is with the operation of changing inputs and in-putting information for searches and signing in to apps. Other than that it is a good TV.

I purchased this Sharp TV on 10/12/2015, and when asked about purchasing the extended warranty, I thought about the long years of reliable service we've received from our LG and Samsung TV's. That's were I made my mistake of placing Sharp in the same category as LG and Samsung. This Sharp TV has bit the dust at 20 months of service, and with low hours . I would strongly advise costumers to not purchase Sharp products, or purchase the extended warranty, because you'll need it.

The TV was a bit disappointing in that it developed a red line on the screen after two days use. The bigger issue is the poor way Best Buy chose to NOT resolve the issue. Rather than a simple exchange, I am being told I have to deal with the Mfg? Amazon here I come. at least then I would not have had to leave my house twice and drive across town twice to be utterly disappointed.

This tv worked phenomenally for the first 3 weeks. Since then, it will randomly freeze up, the screen will go black and it will not even turn off. It will not connect to the Internet. I have spent more time attempting to troubleshoot this tv in the past two weeks than I have watching it. I do not recommend buying this tv. It is more of a hassle than anything and I will not buy another Sharp product again.

A very cool TV if you are using online streaming services only. A little bit hesitate about the HD screen, not as SHARP as my TV used to own. Generally good, especially for college students.
