Customers consistently note the 43" Roku TV's great picture quality and easy setup. Many are pleased with the smart TV features and the affordable price point. However, some users have experienced issues with the remote control, slow startup times, short lifespan, and occasional freezing when using the "Pause Live TV" option.

This TV has a great picture and the built in Roku makes it very easy to use.. I have it paired with a Vizio sound bar and I can use the one Roku remote to control both the TV and the sound bar. I love it! My only complaint is that I'm not able to adjust advanced picture settings such as RGB gain and Gamma. The picture is a tad on the cool side.

So far a great smart tv. This was my first smart tv so we were on a learning curve. Tv portion was easy just plug in your over the air standard antenna and you get a 1080 screen limited only by what format is being locally broadcast. Great picture from our rooftop hd antenna no drop outs. just choose your input and it works. Remote control could have been better. It takes a few minutes to learn to cursor around to make selections. Learn where the input exit and return buttons are first. Secondly click in a box as required to enter text and numbers as required and enter. Our primary purpose was a good hd 1080p tv. The smart function was a extra. wi-fi setup requires a active router (of course). We use a year old linksys N type. Wi-Fi is a bear to set up. Just expect it. I had to call sharp but found a youtube video through a google search ( gee Im not the only one) In the wi-fi setup process there are3 choices for setup. Choose the middle "search" option and follow the prompts including the required AP ID number. If you get lost use google to search for the tutorial video. Works well when set up tremendous pictures highest speed no wires required to the tv. Its just little hard to get going when your trying to learn everything at once. Its worth the effort. Only one negative is the lack of some other ap access like Crackle. (well its free you see) A call to Sharp revealed it CANNOT be added. That was the only weak spot in the whole tv. Theres a pretty good choice built in including Youtube,Netflix,VUDU etc but it would be nice add more services. Check your streaming services BEFORE you buy. If its included this is a great first smart tv. Dont hesitate to buy it for about$350 to 400. Great deal just know what your getting. Footnote it comes with Miracast. I am exploring how its used to apparently move video. Stay tuned for updates but this is a heck of a lot of technology for under $250. Ive been around TV for a long time but this is a fine tv. If it was only UHD we could future proof it with Ultra High Definition which is slowly invading America. But do I have to have UHD? Probably not for now

I bought two of these, one for our bedroom and one for my 78-year-old mother. They work great and make it easy when you have different inputs to switch from. My Mom can easily switch between her ROKU , antenna, DVD, and VCR. Some people complained about the "basic" remote but I think that is a plus- great for "technically challenged" people.

My Mom has had a small, old rear projection tv in her living room for as long as I can remember. My daughters hated watching tv there. This was perfect. It upgraded my mom to current technology without being too complex, my daughters are happy and the size it big enough to help with my Mom's dwindling eyesight. Overall a wonderful purchase!

Overall, I went in and it seemed to be the best thing for my buck in the store for my price range. After setting it up I went forth and tried plugging in my laptop through HDMI and it seems that no matter what kind of HDMI cable I was using, there was a sort of lag from the audio and the video being played. Cable was perfect through HDMI but for some reason a computer was not very ideal for this television. The Roku in the television was okay but a vast majority of the apps don't work properly and crash before you even get to set them up. They seem really unfinished as well which is a bummer. The other issue I had that bothers me a slight bit is the light on the corner of the television that receives the control signal. It has this continuous red flashing light that gets pretty annoying at night but other than that, the picture quality is fine for the price and I think next time I will try to shy away from Sharp.

This is a very impressive T.V. with many great features including wonderful picture quality, being able to instantly sign-on to Netflix and Amazon Prime. Other wonderful features include quick sign-on to Xbox, Blu-Ray and Cable. If you don't have to have a large television set to fill your entire wall or void, then this is the one to get.

The TV picture is great on high def channels. It's only mediocre on regular channels. Also, the volume is unstable at times. We constantly have to increase and decrease the volume while watching a program so that the volume isn't too loud or too soft. It's lightweight and looks nice.

I am very pleased with this purchase. The picture is clear and color is crisp. I love that there are so many brightness settings and everything is one button-push away at all times. Sometimes it seems to lag a little... but nothing that is for too long. Remote is ridiculously small... find myself using the Roku app as my remote a lot. Love this TV.

What are reviews for normally but to complain right? So getting good reviews are difficult unless someone absolutely positively loves every aspect of something. Do I love my TV? Um what kinda love are we talking about? Do I love my TV, like I love people, No that'd be weird, I don't hug it or love on it, again weird. Do I enjoy watching GOT on it? Yes... Until Season 8. Then I hated it, but it's not the TV's fault... I don't think?! However, for anyone who hasn't seen GOT Season 8. Don't hate your TV for it, it's not its fault. Ok so, real review time. It turns on, it plays my shows and it turns off. Easy peasy. But seriously, set up was quick, it works on my wifi, and the apps are easy to navigate. I have no issues or complaints. Oh, wait there is one complaint. I spend too much time in front of it. There you have it! It'll suck you right in and keep you there for hours. Really wish I had a TV that didn't waste my time like it does but I guess you can't win them all. Still 5 stars though.

The picture and resolution are very good and I am able to add apps and use them easily. The only drawback is that the remote only has up, down, and return buttons. There is no keypad in which you can directly enter a channel number. However, If you are using a cable box, more than likely you will be using that remote

The picture quality is very crisp and sharp and the menus are easy to navigate, which is great for low-tech people like my husband and me. The only thing I don't like is that when you pause, and/or fast forward, the sound does not come on immediately forcing you to back up further in order to hear the dialogue.

I was looking for a 43 inch TV, and I was a little hesitant to get this one because there was only one semi positive review on it. I went with it anyways and man do I really love this TV. It has amazing sound. And I love the easy app setup to navigate for streaming. I definitely give it an A plus and would recommend it.

I purchased this TV to replace a 40" Plasma by Panasonic. The color and picture are really good for the price of this TV. Setup was not super easy as other brands. The Roku OS boots a bit slow to me and takes some getting used to. The same is with the remote. The volume controls are located on the side of the remote. I found this a bit off the first few days but rather like it now as I don't have to search for the volume button amongst all the other buttons. Once the TV boots the interface is easy to use and the ICONs are simple and easy to identify. I haven't had any issues with the TV updating or apps getting installed. If you have ever had a Roku then this will be super easy to use. If you haven't had a Roku it is still easy, but it will take a little time to learn. Our main TV runs on WebOS and I will say I do like it much better over the Roku OS, but I had to learn WebOS as well. For the 250 dollars I paid, this TV was well worth the money. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the slow bootup and a rather long setup time. I do recommend it for the price point.

I would have given 5 stars if the TV came with decent setup instructions and it had a decent remote. No instructions how to start up in TV mode and skip the Roku screen. Finally figured it out. Remote is basically only a Roku remote. Great picture, good sound, overall great value considering what I paid. Just a lack of documentation.

I'm very satisfied with our TV it was our first time buying that brand. I love that it has ROKU already installed in it, what a great idea you don't have to worry about plugging the roku in or have to have another remote for it one remote is enough to keep track of. The picture is very clear and good quality.

The Sharp - 43" Class (42.5" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - Smart - HDTV - Roku TV is user friendly and has a very nice picture. It introduces users to free apps they my not be aware of or able to use on other smart TVs. I even recommended it to my mother because it was so easy to use compared to other Smart TVs I own.
