It does not shuffle the 5 discs but only shuffles the disc you are listening to (as near as I can tell). With CD's vanishing as a media among younger folks this type of system is lucky to be around.

I agree with some previous reviews that the controls are not real easy to navigate at first. But once we got the hang of it, they worked fine. Great sound for a little box. We hooked up a wireless headset through the front connection (thank you again Best Buy). And now my husband and listen to his music (both CD and SirrusXM while I'm working!
