Love the way it looks. Seems like a good value. Was dead on arrival: The CD changer says No Disc in all five slots. I called Sharp and customer service was helpful in troubleshooting and resetting the unit, but that didn’t fix the problem. Rather than RMA a brand new item, I am returning it to Best Buy. Sharp needs to work on its quality control.

Easy set-up, nice compact system with good fidelity and components. The CD trays are a little delicate and can only be open and closed using the remote. However, be gentle and the system works just fine.

A Nice, Compact, Low Wattage Shelf System

I really like the Sharp series of stereos shelf systems. I own two of the 240W systems, and both continue to function perfectly after 8 months of use. I mistakenly purchased this model, focusing on the "mini" but failing to notice that its output is 50W total. This product functioned as designed. I can load five discs into the trays, and the remote makes playing them easy. Equalizer options are rather limited, so I either adjust the equalizer on my device or the one on Spotify. Only complaint? It lacks sufficient wattage. This system was made for a small office or bedroom. However, I needed a system capable of producing quality sound throughout several rooms. This system could not do it, so I returned it. However, I still recommend it for its features and ease of use. Note: Since the 240W Sharp system is almost always sold out (as of March 5, 2022), I recommend looking at the LG 700W Stereo System as an alternate choice. The LG system is neither small nor made to sit on a shelf. It's bulky, chunky, relatively heavy, and best placed atop a piece of furniture. It only plays one CD, and has no cassette playback capability. I connected my Sony 5-disc player to it, and in tandem both work without issue. The LG produces a nice, robust sound (though equalizing options are as usual limited). Nevertheless, when comparing the cost of the Sharp versus the LG, I have to recommend the LG. I love the Sharp systems, but I wouldn't pay more than $200 for them.

    Great If You Have Patience

This CD player has great sound and is very easy to set up initially. So why only three stars? Once you turn it on, the troubles begin. Let me start by saying I like to figure things out on my own. This is not one of those instances where you can do that. I had to refer to the manual several times for what to do (I imagine I will be doing so for a few more days before I have it set like I want it). Once you get the basics down, good luck actually utilizing the disc changer. I figured out the remote has to be fully visible and lined up with the unit. It should be as simple as pressing 1-5 and having it okay, but it requires you to select a CD, hit play within five seconds, wait a full minute for it to load the CD, then it'll play the CD. Not user friendly at all. Bluetooth is the simplest to use and just works out the box. Great sound by default as well. The remote is weirdly designed, but works fine. I think the criticisms of the remote are overblown, but having a tiny play button on the top right instead of dead center is an odd choice. FM radio works great for me and the sound is clear. Again, you have to use the memory button along with multiple presses to save stations. I've only saved one so far and probably won't bother with more right now. I have not tried AM stations so I can't speak to that. For the price, I'm happy with the purchase. This system has a learning curve, but when it works, it's fantastic. I also appreciate that my local store had it on demo to try before I bought it. Can't do that online. For something like this, see if you can find it locally to try out and then make your decision.

First of all this is a great little micro system and plays even my CD-Rs with no issues at all and I love it being a 5 disc changer. Good clean FM radio reception "have not tried AM". Very nice clean sound from the included 2 way speakers. The separate 10 step bass & treble is a very nice feature too. One feature I have not tried is the Bluetooth/pairing and such so I really can't comment on that. Here are my only 2 personal hangup "minor' issues about it, FIRST issue: I confess I am not a high tech person at all and learning how to use the remote and/or some features is kind of difficult for "me". SECOND issue: The display has 2 different color readouts (blue and a brownish). Although the blue readouts are now easy to view since I turned off the dimmer function, however sadly the brownish readouts are still too small and/or dim to view unless my I stick my face/eyes within a foot from it "at least for me". I understand the 2 issues above might not even be a factor for most people. BOTTOM LINE: Overall this is a very nice micro system that would be very difficult to beat for the price and/or value...........Hope this helps someone ☺

This Sharp micro stereo has sound that you wouldn't expect from a system of this size. The 50 watts of power are good for a bedroom or other smaller space. The compact size of this unit makes it easy to fit it in smaller spaces. So far, I have only used the FM tuner, the cd player and the bluetooth. have not tried the USB yet. The items that I have tested work good. One feature that I like about the bluetooth is that it will show the name of the artist/song on the unit's display when I stream content from youtube/pandora, etc, from my phone. Overall, this is a great little system.

after shopping, I bought and returned 3 systems before settling on this system. Great sound, I able to use my Bluetooth to stream m media, in additional to loading up to five CD at once. also, I love the build in alarms. and it doesn't take up a lot of space.

It was simple to set up. However, detailed instructions were printed so small that even with a magnifying glass I could not read them. The panel on front of unit has black buttons on black background making them hard to read without magnifying glass to read the labels. Also, we had trouble coordinating remote control with panel on front of unit. Sound is good once we figured out basics how to use it.

Products & services are always the best at our hometown store and online. Bought this for my father to listen to his disks while I do my work outside. Love that I can put in 5 disks allowing him hours of music with great sound. I really love that it has so many options, including a audio input, usb plug in, am/fm radio and it has Bluetooth. All of which work great and gives us the choice to do so many different things. The sound is great & you don’t have to crank it way up from him to hear since he is very hard of hearing. I shopped all over the internet looking for something like this with all the options I needed and Best Buy was the only place I could find that had everything I wanted in a durable product, at a affordable price and with a reputable company I can trust

A simple 5 disk cd changer with radio, & Bluetooth. Simple setup connect speakers, antennas & it is setup. Bluetooth Connects easily to phone, tablet, & MP3 player. Sound is decent quality for the cost of the unit. I don’t like that the display scrolls with unit shut off. Seems a bit of electricity waste.

For those who have CDs which were collected over many years and include non-professional recordings, this is a perfect 5 disc changer micro component system for easy listening. The unit fits in a bookcase, and separate speakers provide good listening quality. The FM/AM radio and remote control add to the appeal of the unit.

Like the five disc feature very clear sound for a small room it’s compact size fits perfectly. Controls easy to understand and easy to use. The speakers size makes them easy to turn and direct the sound where it’s best for the room. For the price this unit gives you great sound and is worth every cent.
