The 5 disc reader would only read one at a time and you couldn’t switch which tray to play. Bought one, returned it and got another one hoping it was just a glitch but no. Second one was the same way. Contacted Sharp and they wanted me to send the brand new unit to them to figure out why it wasn’t working. Kudos to those who got a functional one. Reviews indicate a lot of them were non functional.

This system was inexpensive, did not realize speakers "had wires," until I bought it, could not find a place in my apartment where it looked good. Big and clunky, sound was just ok.

The sound quality is fine for the use we wanted it for - background music in our dining room. It is small enough to "hide" and not disrupt the décor.

The next day I turned it on and the CD trays kept randomly opening and closing. Nothing I or my son tried was of any help and the manual certainly was no help. Now my CD's are in the unit and the trays will not open. I am stuck with an unit I cannot use because I don't want to lose the CD's.
