I have had this TV for a couple months now, since March 2015. It is honestly amazing. The image is very crisp, the colors are spot on. It was far cheaper than Samsung or Sony of similar size and has a better refresh rate (120 Hz). Some may worry about quality since Sony and Samsung usually have high standards, but their prices are not worth their underperformance compared to decent brands like Sharp or LG. The sound is nothing extravagant. There are TVs with worse and TVs with better. But if you're one to worry about it, you probably have a sound system already anyway. It does not have SmartTV capabilities, but that should not be held against it. Every system hooked up to the TV (PS4, Blu-Ray Player, and 360) all have the apps that a SmartTV uses and more. So what's the point of shelling out extra for something that is not needed? TL;DR Pros: Large, clear and clean screen. Good sound. Refresh rate 120 Hz. Lower price than underperforming competition. Cons: None that I can think of at this point. Recommend to friends? My friends are jealous of this TV.

Not sure how they could sell such a great TV for so cheap. It has almost been a year since I first got it and I still find out new things about it. Pretty great TV for the money. Sounds good (although I got a surround sound system for it) and the 120Hz is nice. Would recommend and would buy again!

I needed to replace a 5 year old 42" Samsung TV in the living room that had some color issues. I didn't need 4k and I wanted a larger TV for the living room for cable and HD gaming. After reading reviews I went to Best Buy and picked this up. Not a lot of frills but the TV looks good and works well at a great price. This was written 6 months after purchase.

After shopping every 50" LED TV in the area, this Sharp unit had the best specs & features, fast refresh rate, brand name, and a picture that compared with units costing $200 to $400 more. An excellent product at the introductory price Best Buy provided. The unit is a Best Buy exclusive model manufactured by Sharp for their stores thus the best of brand names and retailer!

I love this tv, i stood around debating many tvs for about a year. this was the tv that stood out the most it has super crisp detail and very vibrant colors. I use my xbox one with it the most for gaming and movies and im over happy with it. Plus for the price ots very unbeatable hands down.

A quality Sharp LED TV at a very affordable price. This is my first LED and I am very happy with this purchase. I settled on this TV at Best Buy due to price, quality, and for my needs, it had the extra HDMI AND component inputs I needed for all my devices, both old and new.

I went to Best Buy to buy a freezer, but came out with a TV I really didn't need. But, boy I'm really glad I bought it. The color is really great, the television itself is a great buy for the price I paid. Glad I bought this television. Oh! also got the frezzer to, but of course I got from another store.

I bought this Sharp tv when my 10 year old Toshiba went bad. I bought it on the basis of reputation and price, & I was not disappointed. A 50 inch TV for 399. Unbelievable! Picture quality is great. Also bought a Roku to go with it because this Sharp is not a smart TV. All works great. Very happy.

This TV arrived with a broken screen. After much trouble with the local store telling me I could not return it to their store, and calling Best Buy and them telling me I could. I spent hours getting this resolved. Best Buy needs to get their Corporate Policies together or they will be out of business in 5 years. I called and was on the phone with them for over 3 hours. Each time I was told that YES a item received damaged could be returned to the store. The Web Site even says that I can return it to the store if it is the wrong item shipped or damaged. I talked to the manager at the Lubbock TX store (Yes I am bringing you out) and they refused to take the TV back for an exchanged. SHe even called the District Manager and he said no. If I was the CEO of Best Buy these people would be packing to the unemployment line. So after another call to the customer service center, I was helped by a very nice (Educated customer service rep) that said he would take care of it. I asked how? He sent a new TV to the house and a UPS Call-Tag at the same time. The UPS driver picked up the broken TV and gave us a new TV. That is customer service. I will never go to a Best Buy store again. What I learned about all this is if you buy a TV from Best Buy have delivered to the Store for pick=up. If it is broken at the store refuse the item . They will by LAW have to refund you or replace it. No matter what some incompetent manger says. No for the rating on the TV. IT IS ALL 5 Stars for the price. Got is for $449.00 and it is wonderful. One of the best pictures for this class and priced TV's. Are there better out their. Yes but not at this price. Would recommend to anyone. I know this is a co-built TV between Sharp and Insignia, but it is nice. Would I buy this at regular price (NO) but at this price it cannot be beat. .

I bought this tv for my bedroom and didn't expect it to be as good as it is, all the previous reviews gave it high marks and I have to agree, for the price you can't beat it. Bottom line- great tv and great price

I like my new TV. It was a great price and I like how easy it is to use not a lot of extras. Works well and easy to program! The dimensions were just as I measured to fit into the space.

I bought this tv for my father for Christmas and everyone in the family is just enjoying this tv. For the price it is, it's a very good tv. No problems with it and simple set up.

This TV is great. Bright colors and like the brand name, it's picture is sharp. I got this tv for its size, it's resolution, and it's price. Truly happy with the tv!

This TV did not cost much on black Friday just 399. I love this TV, it is styled well, the picture is great (after you play with the factory calibration), and HD shows and blu-ray look amazing. The screen size is large, but it suits my family room just fine it even suits the living room well. It is light and I can carry it by myself up a flight of stairs (I live in a split level house). I don't regret this purchase at all and recommend this product if you're looking for a 50" entry level without the bells and whistles such as wi-fi and smart enabled with apps.

Awesome TV, for the price, glad I listened to the salesman about not needing to pay extra for a "smart" TV.

This is a quality tv at an awesome price! We got it for my mom and it was the best tv we ever bought!
