Very easy to setup and the picture quality is just as I imagined a $399 50" TV (not the best), but I have about 3 inches on the right side of the screen that is blank. I've tried to adjust the settings on the Dish settings as well as the Sharp settings, and it doesn't help. I will need help in what I do to return this TV. Again, I don't mind the quality for the price, I just would like the TV to show the image on the entire screen.

At first I was very happy with my TV. After adjusting the settings, the picture looked really good for the low price. HOWEVER - unnoticed initially, the refresh rate is noticeably slow to the point there will often be ghost images and trails with movement on screen. I regret not having an additional $300 to buy a much better television instead... For the money it is a decent TV, but you can do much, much better for a little more $.

After a year having this TV it cuts off and TV blinks red. I looked it up and once in a while it does the same thing. I get so frustrated fixing this TV. It has a great picture when it is on. It stays in the guess room now. i brought a different model Sony and I don't have any issues.

    TV for watching local channels

I purchased this TV as an OPEN BOX, so I'm not sure if it's just the unit that i got or if it's all of them. I'm going to review the HDTV that I got. It's 2 stars (fair) rating for me and here's why: Screen - The screen is very jittery. It happens every 2 minutes or less while watching a movie or playing a game on my ps3. Kind of hard to explain since I'm not tech savvy but I'll try (wish I can post a video of it). When watching a movie, the screen will have this line effects and the scene image will get stuck in the background while the rest of the scene moves, the lines last less than a second. This happens regardless of how fast the scene is and very often, it gets annoying after a while. Color is Great, back-light is OK, dark-light scene is OK. Volume control - The volume is great! But my problem is that sometimes the volume get stuck to a certain level and I can't adjust it. The only way to reset it is to turn the TV off and turn it back on. USB Port - Doesn't play movies but plays pictures and music. You can't view your vacation videos with a USB stick. What I like about it: - 3 HDMI are great since it's not a smart TV. - Speaks are loud enough. - TV menu is very easy to understand. Overall - I gave it a 2 stars fair rating because of how big the screen for the price that I got it for. This HDTV is for someone who watch local channels and occasional movies like me. If you are a movie buff then you will have problems.

After only 2 and a half years of light use, there is now a dark shade across the top 1/4 of the screen. This is so disappointing. I purchased this tv in November of 2014 to replace another Sharp tv that was about 7 years old. I moved it to the bonus room and it still works great. The sound on the new tv is not great but I knew that before I bought it.

The corners of my Sharp TV are faded or darker than the rest of the screen. It is easy to see this on any monochromatic picture. You can clearly see this issue in the attached photo. The refresh rate doesn't seem like it is 120 Hz although they claim it is.

This TV is replacing a Sony model of the same size. The Sony had a much better picture. The only thing this TV had going for it was that it was cheap, $400 on black Friday. I guess you get what you pay for.

Was looking for a much better quality of picture for sports especially and this Sharp did not make the cut. Might have been a defect in the tv but right away noticed poor picture quality and had to return it the next day. Mainly went for this one for the price but more often than not you do get what you paid for. My Panasonic is killing it though

Bought this TV and thought, what a great deal. Hooked it up and played with settings to calibrate. I've never seen so much ghosting of the pixels on a 120hz panel. Reading online has shown these are not true Sharp Televisions. Just google "best buy licensing sharp tv." Got a LG instead. The picture blows the Sharp away!!! Save your money and buy higher priced or buy a smaller sized set from Samsung, LG, or Sony.

Good price, picture, and sound with 3 hdmi inputs for $399. However I had to return it. The TV settings will not correct picture jutter and motion blur. This is very unfortunate and a deal breaker for me. This particular model is made for and only sold by Best Buy.

My husband and I have been tv shopping for over a year and finally decided to give this one a try. We have a 7 yr old 32" Olevia lcd in our family room and wanted something bigger. This seemed like a great price so we bought it. HUGE disappointment!!! Set it up, turned it on and we both looked at each other in disbelief. Our 7 yr old tv had a waaayyy better picture quality compared to this tv. The picture wasn't clear and looked almost pixelated. The colors weren't vivid and we tried adjusting them for an hour. We had it on hi def cable, netflix and Blu-ray Disc and no improvement. The blacks weren't deep enough and the colors weren't vivid. Horrible actually. We expected so much more compared to our old off-brand tv. Sound was poor as well. Packed it up and immediately took it back. We decided to bite the bullet and get the Samsung 55" 1080p 240hz led 3d Smart tv instead.... Now THAT is a fabulous tv. Total movie experience and remarkable picture! Save your money and go for that!! Skip this Sharpe unless u just want an ok tv for a spare room.
