    I know what I was buying hen getting this TV and know that it is Mid Tier. Don't have any over-expectations for the TV but to suit my needs for watching.

    Decent picture and sound for the money

    Bought this mostly due to the price. The picture quality is good not great and the sound is not bad. My biggest complaint would be the lag between the picture and the sound. I loop the sound back to my A/V receiver using a digital audio cable. When I turn my receiver on, the sound is a good 2 to 3 seconds off from the picture. Very annoying and the adjustment in the sound menu adjusts it in the wrong direction making the difference even worse. We no longer use the receiver because of this. I wouldn't buy it again.

    The price was right, but I am having problems getting the screen just right. On my Samsung and Panasonic HDTVs i was able to dial in the picture so it looks just right. On my Sharp 60" the picture consistantly looks great and vibrant but on the 50" the setting menu is different and I am still adjusting. Seems the over air hd images have different settings than standard tv. And it appears the longer I have the tv on, the better the screen gets.

    You get what you pay for but this tv serves it purpose Just fine in the sesecond room. I dint believe it is actually a sharp television. I'm almost certain its just a 're branded insignia. Picture is good. Speakers so so and it does not support any apps

    Very satisfied with the picture quality. Having trouble with audio and video syncing - might be a problem with my service provider, (Comcast) or HDMI cables being used.

    great tv for the price I paid 499.00.You can still see motion blur on sports or anythimg moving fast might want to go with the 240 refresh rate.

    Not all of the HDMI ports works so I returned it. It did have a very nice picture, a little better than the Visio I replaced this with.

    I went to the local store to look at a different brand TV. After seeing that one I checked out all the others in the size I was interested in. At the store I was impressed with this Sharps and thought it might work for me, so I bought it. It works ok... but that's about the best I can say. Took it back and spent the extra for the one I researched to began with. When I answer the next question about recommending to a friend, I would if you need cheap.

    This tv is ok. The price was right, but it has its flaws, the sound quality isnt great, and sometimes during really dark scenes you struggle to see things. Also it feels like you are watching a soap opera sometimes as the people will look real but the back ground looks out of place, if that makes any sense at all.

    The picture is OK, not as crystal clear as I'd like but you get what you pay for. After having a week, the picture went to black and white. Issue appeared to be in the cable hook up on the TV. Coaxial worked fine but the wires caused it to be a black and white picture. Returned to the store and purchased a different brand.
