I found it on brads deals for 300$ with free shipping. I got it for the Black Friday price a week early. It was the best deal I had found on every website and ad by far. The reviews were good and I am incredibly happy with the picture and size.

Great picture quality, colors are vibrant, nice thin bezel, 3 hdmi ports and a usb port. Sound isn't too great but a cheap sound bar can easily fix that. I've had this tv for about 4 going on 5 months now and haven't had any problems with it.
Only cons I have is the first two I got. The first one had a loud buzzing noise whenever turned on. The second had a stuck pixel. Finally the third one was perfect and has stayed that way.
50" for under $400 with plenty of ports. Great deal.

I wanted a new TV that was not 4K, had three HDMI inputs, was not smart, and didn't have the crazy high refresh rates that screw up movies. This one fit the bill perfectly. The prices was perfect as well.
I realize that the audio on all of these flat TVs will be bad, but use a Sonos soundbar anyways.
It's great for movie night!
It appears to support 5.1 audio passthrough on the optical output, which is good.
Lastly, the picture "out of the box" wasn't great. I pulled up some tuning videos on Youtube and made adjustments. After that, the pic is great.
So far, so good.

We bought our new tv on black friday, and love it! Quick, easy set up. Great picture but the volume doesn't seem right. I feel like I have to put the volume over halfway up to even hear the program. Overall, a great buy. Just be ready to have your volume button turned up to 70!!

Purchased on Black Friday for $300. Steal of a price. Picture quality is very good for the size. Easy to set up. Only downside with this type of tv is the volume is limited. When running the treadmill you cannot hear the sound.

This was my first Sharp TV purchase, and overall I was very impressed. I had previously been brand-loyal to Samsung flat screens only. But recently I lost three TVs in a storm, and I needed a short-term replacement while I waited for parts to be delivered to fix my existing TVs.
I found this TV in-store as an open-box deal. Priced at $300 (for a 50 in), it was equivalent in price to a 40 in. Samsung of similar specs. After spending 30 minutes in-store adjusting the picture settings, I felt that the TV would perform as needed for a month or two while I repaired the Samsungs.
After getting it home and spending a bit more time dialing it in, I can say that it is performing extremely well. While it has few frills (it is not a Smart TV), what it does it seems to do very well. I've owned it a month, and am very happy I chose it. When a nice, clean, hi-def signal is sent to it, it is sharp, the color is saturated, and the refresh is totally fine (even for sports).
One notable surprise was how loud the speakers are. For evening viewing, I rarely have it above 7 or 8. For those who like to watch music channels, this TV will perform great.

You can't beat this TV for under $300. Volume may be a little low but just connect a soundbar or speakers . I have had sharp LCD/LED tvs and never had issues with them. This one I placed up on the wall in my bar area. Looks great.

I pulled the trigger on this during the member pre-sale leading up to Black Friday. It was at least $100 off if not more. All the reviews seemed great and $300 was almost impossible to pass up for a name-brand 50" HDTV. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Great picture, especially for gaming which is my primary use. Anyone worried about gaming input lag or refresh rate, this TV has a GAME setting that turns off the bells and whistles that would adversely affect refresh rate/input lag. Runs my XB1 perfectly, sharp 1080p picture no lag. Also connected to my sound bar via fiber optic cable without a hitch. Love this TV!

Since we live in the country & chose to use an indoor antenna for our TV service, this Sharp 50" TV was easy to set up! We've always had Sharp TV's with our last one lasting 13 yrs. This TV has a very clear picture!

I had gone to the store for a doorbuster and of course, had missed out. But I found this beauty on sale for $299. The speakers are fantastic delivering crisp audio heard throughout my house. I play the volume at 15, which is loud enough and no where near its maximum. Its 50" screen has been a gem for gaming (Xbox, Ps4, WiiU), Netflix, and Tv. Clarity. Heaven! It allows usb, HDMI, cables. Lightweight with legs easily attached.

We needed a new TV for the room we just added on to our house, and I went looking for TVs from 40"-50", depending on cost and make. I found a 55" Samsung also at Best Buy, but it was close to $500. Then I found this 50" Sharp for just under $350. SOLD!! It's been incredibly easy to set up, as well as to hang on the wall. Everything went so smoothly, I'm thinking that my husband might need a new TV for his "library"!

This television works beautifully. The picture and sound are wonderful, and you can't beat the price. It is not as complicated as these new smart TVs are. The settings and setup are straightforward and easy. Highly recommend if you just want to watch television without all the extras that a smart TV offers, such as apps and wifi.

I own several 50+ inch tv's, all were a lot more expensive than this model. All have much higher refresh rates than the 60Hz this one comes with. However, there doesn't seem to be any noticeable difference in picture quality. There aren't any jittery frames or ghosting effects when playing hi speed video games or anything like that. Simply add a chrome cast/amazon fire stick to this TV and it's on par with some of the tv's almost double its price. This was a very good buy for my kid's playroom.
