Purchased for my older parents. Great price & value for the picture size they wanted...everything as advertised. The only negative for them is that the volume doesn't go as high as their other tv's.

I bought this TV based on online reviews. When I plugged it in and saw the picture for the first time I was extremely pleased. Great picture, great sound, easy to navigate remote, easy setup, and of course very reasonably priced for the quality! Would highly recommend!

Overall I rate this as a good, no-frills TV. It offers a good, bright, fairly sharp picture. but is prone to degrade in fact action scenes more that other top-brand 60 Hz TVs on the market, including Insignia. The biggest drawback for me was it's external sound option. On-board sound sound is quite good, albeit a bit weak in volume. It's when you try to hook up external, powered analog speakers that you run into problems, namely that you can't control the volume from the TV, itself. You have to rely upon the volume control of the amplifier that powers the external speakers. Not so with my Insignia TVs, which allow you to control external, powered speaker volume quite well with the TV's volume control. You can control the volume of the eternal speakers on the Sharp if you choose the headphone setting, but the TV's preamplifier is too weak to do the job adequately. This Sharp TV is worth buying at the price I paid: $299, but I'd be reluctant to pay more for it. I rate it a B-. The big question now is "how long will it last before some component in it fails. The power supply on one of my Insignia TVs failed after only three years. Not good when you consider that analog TVs typically lasted 10 -20 years without any failures.

I purchased this TV on Black Friday. Planned on it being my "back up" tv and used in the second den. As it is, the picture is excellent, volume on is very good, and easy to operate. I decided to use it as my main tv. I am so happy I purchased it and wish now that I had gotten two that day. I would highly recommend. I have four other flat screen tvs in my house and this is my favorite,

Bought this as a Christmas present together with my bf and his siblings for his mother. This was meant as a nice upgrade from the older TV she had. It was very well received. She already has a BluRay with Netflix capabilities so a smart TV was not necessary. It's very easy to use and looks great from every angle! Highly recommended if you're not looking to spend a whole lot on a TV.

I love HD, but hate "smart" tvs. They tend to be smarter than I am. I've had 2 and had to buy a Chromecast to get my Netflix. This tv has a beautiful picture and was very simple to set up. Even for some one as smart as me!

As tv's shift to the next generation, K4 and UHD, this HD model was a bargain. Most Dish programming hasn't caught up with the latest high-def format, so why invest the money in a more expensive set until the satellite company catches up? For the money, this is the best TV for me. And at 50", I get all the detail and definition needed.

Excellent color & resolution. It was very easy to set up & install. An unexpected plus is the speakers. Flat screen tend not to have good ones because of lack of casing, but the sound is very good even when not running through a theatre system

I have had this TV for a year now and have enjoyed every minute of it; highly recommended for the SHARP name and price; Excellent color and picture. I throw in DVD with my upconvert 1080pi DVD player with HDMI cable and it looks just as good as a Blu-Ray on this TV. No need to waste the extra money on Blu-Rays if you have this set up...

All was as expected. Only issue was factory settings had the auto dim on (I believe) had to turn off to keep tv picture from going dark, then light. For the low refresh rate, I find that when your on HD, you have not sacrificed picture quality. For $379, I would recommend it!

Got this TV during Thanksgiving Sale !! This was dirt cheap..This is good size TV for medium/big room .. Running this on ROKU and this is responding well.. Sound quality is good ..watch movies on Netflix but don't feel need of extra sound support..has HDMI ports ..cable is short so better think about some solution for that..easy to install..

I purchased this Sharp 50 inch LED TV a month ago and I am completely satisfied with it's features, functions, picture and sound quality. Some reviews say they do not have good picture and sound from this TV. I learned that from taking time to tweak the picture and sound settings one can get the type of picture and sound desired. Take the time to adjust the settings on this TV, and downloading the user guide will help greatly. Best Buy treated me very well in helping me make the purchase and gave me an excellent price. We have this TV on most of the day and its performance has been excellent. Again, Best Buy was outstanding in their helping with everything necessary to complete the purchase. I highly recommend this Sharp TV and Best Buy for everything !

Overall I'm very happy with this TV. Very clear picture. Nice clean look to the tv. Very lightweight. I'm glad i pulled the trigger on purchasing this tv. Price was very good. Bought it during a black Friday sale. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone. I have it in my master bedroom and it looks much larger than 50".

Bought this 50" Sharp on a deep discount to upgrade an older tv. Great picture, easy setup and change settings. Takes a few seconds to start up when turned on. Sound could use improvement so I got some powered computer speakers to plug in the rear jack. Much improved sound. Still a great buy for a name brand tv.

I bought this set to replace an old TV in my home office that I use to watch CNBC during the day. But the quality of the picture is high enough that I find myself watching college ball on Saturdays and DVDs of old PBS series that I own. The only real negative are the speakers. They are adequate. But if you want a more complete viewing experience, invest in a soundbar or a small receiver and a couple of speakers.

Kids had a smaller used tv for video games and wanted to get them something a bit bigger for Christmas. Considering the cost it was a great addition. TV doesn't have the bells and whistles of a smart tv, but good for the basics of playing games and watching tv.
