The price for this TV is great and it is so user friendly. I can assure anyone who is hesitant to purchase a TV that has a ROKU internet platform to toggle back and forth between TV and Internet, for example, Netflix, this TV is so easy to use. The picture is very crisp and the sound is even better than on my Samsung TV's.

This TV has a great picture and the Roku is an added bonus. The only complaint I have is not with the TV itself. It is with the remote. The volume and mute button are on the side of the remote. Anytime you pick up or handle the remote, you stand a chance of muting or changing the volume. This happens to me several times a week. All in all, I would still purchase the TV. The price and picture out ways the remote.

Before purchasing this TV, I read numerous reviews for various TVs and compared several similar options, in terms of size, features, and functionality, both online and in-store, and this one continually came out on top. Plus, to have a TV that graded out the way that this one did, coupled with the sales price that Best Buy was offering it for, and it could not be beat. Still, I am always leery about the possibility of making such a substantial purchase and then finding the one I bought to be less than impressive. However, I have had this TV for about a month now and I am extremely happy with my purchase. It has a great picture and the integrated Roku is extremely easy to navigate, be it between streaming apps and actual cable television, or adjusting various settings, etc. For that matter, download and removal of apps, for which there is a substantial selection (unlike some other built-ins), is extremely easy. I've also been rather impressed by the sound quality of this TV, as my experience with Sharp (as well as a number of other individuals I am aware of), is that the sound quality is not always as impressive as other manufacturers. I've never found it to be as bad as some, but definitely feel as though this model features some improvements in that regard. All in all, it's been a great addition to my living room, it has provided me with everything I was looking for in a TV, and I'm glad I decided to pursue this option.

Got an amazing deal on the 50" version. I've tried so many Roku TV sets recently (from TCL, Insignia, and Hisense-Sharp) but I think I am finally satisfied with this one, the Sharp set made by Best Buy. No dead pixels, very minimal dirty backlight and dark corner, and great contrast/black levels. It's much better than the 2016 Insignia 1080p set i tried (had whacky gamma and horrible line bleed/dirty screen). Motion looks pretty good too playing PS4/Battlefield 4. Anyway, happy customer here from initial impressions from someone whose had nearly one of every Roku TV set (save for Haier). I used to think TCL was top of the Roku TV sets, but Best Buy's 2016 Sharp set is quite impressive for a whole lot less $. Highly recommended when on sale.

The picture and sound quality of this TV is very good in my opinion. This TV was easy to link up to my WI-FI and the Roku works great. When purchased I was to receive 30 days of Sling TV free but all I am seeing is a free 7 day trial, which I have not activated. Other than that, I am happy with this TV. This was purchased as a secondary unit.

For the price, it can't be beat. Having built in apps with the Roku is great. We have been using it as the main TV for over a year, and our only issue has been occasionally it freezes and reboots itself while we are using a streaming service (entire process takes like 30 seconds). For the price and picture quality though, it doesn't bother me.

I bought this TV after reading some of the other reviews. I found it on sale and it feels home theater sized in my small apartment. Built in speakers have ok sound quality, picture quality is pretty good. The built in Roku is great and makes using any subscriptions cake. My only complaint is that it occasionally has some hiccups moving from app to app.

We bought this TV for our in-laws after purchasing the 55 inch version for ourselves. It shows a great picture. Super easy to set up. Seamless integration with all the Roku apps. I would recommend a sound bar or a supplemental form of audio, since the one for the TV leaves a little to be desired. But, overall It's fantastic!

My first 'big girl's TV. Price was very affordable. Easy set up. Remote for my piggy fingers is a little too small. Am not too literate with all that is available through this TV but do enjoy taking time to figure stuff out. Also like getting to see free movies albeit almost unheard of ones. Good purchase.

I picked up this 50 inch during a sale and it's been exactly what I needed. I linked my netflix and amazon prime account to the tv without any complications. The TV was easy to set up and wasn't too heavy. I would definitely purchase again. I can't attest to how it holds up over time since I just bought the TV this week. So far, so good.

Easiest set up of a TV I've ever completed. Definitely user friendly and user interface is uncomplicated. Roku built in was a big plus. The remote is ease of use. Completely happy with my TV. Best part absolutely was the price. I thought that was the price for an open box but was surprised that it was brand new. Not to be missed.

The Good: The TV itself is great. Very intuitive and easy to navigate. If you need a 50" TV and BestBuy is running the special we got ($225) it was a steal. Amazing Picture and has the additional tuners to pull in all the cable & HD stations without needing an extra box.
The Bad: I initially ran into the same issue with having to always select an option when turning on the TV. Luckily, there is a setting that you can default it to Antenna or the last selection used when the TV is turned on. I thought, since I could default to Antenna which is all I use, then I could get a universal remote since the Roku remote (if you want to even call it a remote) doesn't have actual numbered keys to type in the channel. Got the universal remote, programmed it, and then come to find out (and Sharp Support confirmed) that the TV does not even support typing in channel numbers from a Universal Remote. You can still only use the Channel Up/Down & Volume Up/Down. A completely horrible design!!!
Overall the picture of the TV outweighs the bad, but I can not believe that a manufacturer would make this kind of decision regarding the remote (even though I understand it is a Smart TV) and the TV not supporting Channel Numbers input. Manufactures need to allow the consumer to make these decisions.
I am removing 2 stars due to the remote / TV channel input issue.

I was a bit skeptical before buying this television set. Mainly because it was just $300 and I kept wondering what's wrong with this set for it to be this cheap. Well after using for more than a month now, I can say I haven't found anything thats bad.
Picture quality is great and even the audio is pretty good. It has everything I could need -
1. Inbuilt Roku for all the streaming channels
2. HDMI ARC for the sound systems to be controlled by TV remote
3. Accepts antenna input (I have an indoor antenna and get all the local affiliates in HD)
4. Wireless screen mirroring with my PC, I can just mirror my desktop seamlessly, and that's making my Chromecast redundant.
Con -
Some people had complained about the TV being a bit slow, and yes it is a bit slower in turning on than some other smart TVs, but nothing severe that will irritate or frustrate you. Some apps like netflix also sometimes take some time to load up, but not always.
But hey, I dont expect a quad core processor in $300 50" tv.

We first tried the similar 4k version of this set, but the "soap-opera" effect was terrible. This 1080p version made a huge difference. The picture is quite nice for the price. The built-in Roku is nice, and we learned it very quickly.
Our favorite feature is the volume bar that runs vertically on the side of the screen. This keeps it from hiding subtitles, like our previous set did. The least favorite part is the standard audio settings. Some odd noises and background sounds often obscure what should be the primary audio. Also, commercials can be very loud. New TV's should be able to balance the decibels somehow.
One other setting would be nice. We would like to have it default to a certain input, or source. When turned on, it goes to a home screen every time. It would be nice to go directly to the most recently used input source.
We feel like we got a good deal on the TV, and are still happy with it after several weeks.

Overall the tv is great. Have had it for about a month now and the picture is better then my older flat screens. The positives are, it's easy to set up if you're familiar with the Roku interface, and the picture is pretty good for a 1080 HDTV. The negatives would be when you first turn on the tv after being off awhile, it takes about 30 sec to 1 minute to boot up. The other would be the lack of inputs and the way you have to connect the inputs. If you have more than 3 devices that require hdmi or more than 1 device that requires rca you will need to buy a hdmi switcher or rca switcher. The input port placement also requires you to input your connections vertically into the tv which can be a little awkward. Also if you have never used roku the interface will take some getting use too. If you are just buying it to watch TV then you can set it up to boot up thst input instead of switching to the input you want. Even with the negatives I would still by this tv again.

Couldn't be happier with the picture and sound quality. Set up was easy, and because the weight of this 50" is under 30 lbs. (That's right, under 30 lbs) I wall mounted it and lost zero floor space! Best priced 50" that is from a known manufacturer with all the high end demands.

I bought this TV to replace an older plasma TV. The set up was very easy. I havent used many of the features available, but what I have used has worked great. The picture is crisp and the color fine without adjusting the factory settings. This is a quality TV at a decent price.

The picture is so sharp and clear. It was so light weight. My only issue is the stand. If you can make sure it isnt where children can reach or better yet, Mount it!!! Other than that, there were so many options and apps that come with the Roku tv. It was a great buy!!

Bought this TV on sale a couple months ago. We really like it; nice clear picture and good sound. We already had a Roku device, and our old TV was going out. So since we knew we liked Roku (very user friendly) we went ahead and bought this TV with it built-in. Super easy to set up; we had everything up and running in no time. My only 2 complaints are: (1) sometimes there is a delay from remote to TV. When I pause a show I want it paused immediately, not in 2-3 seconds! And (2) you cannot manually adjust the sound quality. You cannot turn up the "bass", etc. You choose between quiet, loud, and louder, lol. Other than that really happy with the purchase and feel like we got a good deal.
Hope this was helpful and have a nice day! :)

This is a great tv for the price, and I love the built-in Roku. The only problem we had was the remote. The alignment was off and it made the buttons impossible to push, and the tv impossible to set up. We returned it and had the same problem with the new remote. We finally called Sharp and they had to send a replacement remote, which took a week. With great difficulty I was able to find a workaround to setup the tv while we waited for the replacement remote. I used the Roku app on my phone. The only problem is that you have to connect the tv to wireless before you can use the app, which you need the remote to do. I had to bend the plastic on the remote and hold the buttons just right. After about an hour of struggling through it, a lot of sweat, and a sore arm I finally got it to connect to the internet. Hopefully they switch out the defective remotes on the new shipments.
