    BUYERS BEWARE!

    I'm embarrassed that I purchased this television as a gift to my Pops. Not even a month after unboxing, the power board blew. I'm a very understanding consumer, when issues are resolved in a timely manner, but deeply disappointed when I get the run-around from Customer Service. I was bounced back and forth between Sharp and The Geek Squad for weeks, and told that a repair man had to unsuccessfully "try" to fix the television "3 times" before they could issue a replacement. It's unfair that his brand new gift has to come with so much wait time. Why should Pop have to be without a television while they wait for parts, reschedule repair dates, and try to bring the TV back to life. Why should he be stuck with a TV that they are REFURBISHING right before his eyes? That kills me! Had I known the policy, I wouldn't have chosen Sharp/Best Buy. I'm up north and he's down south so the only thing I can do is visit multiple sites and warn customers not to make the buying decision that I did. Find a place that will resolve your issue with urgency.

    Stay away from this piece of garbage

    After four plus months I finally need to speak out. The Roku function is so slow acting with constant malfunctions it's nauseating, particularly with the Netflix app (yes I am constantly checking to make sure updates are current for both the operating system and the apps). I'm not exaggerating here it literally takes between 20-30 minutes to finally start watching anything on Netflix after the constant freeze-ups and reloads, having to shut the tv off eventually, reload, wait some more, hit the back button, nothing happens, start over. It takes a minimum of four tries before you can finally watch anything. The other apps have some blips, kicking you back to main menu but nothing like Netflix. I got this Tv to use on the weather protected back patio and it's so frustrating. I also have a roku stick that I use on another tv that isn't great either but not this bad. I'm about to start my fourth attempt at watching Netflix while writing this (started long before logging in). I've also had billing errors with roku so I'm suggesting (and wil eventually switch myself) you try Apple TV or other streaming service. Roku in general has been a bad deal for us. On the positive the picture is pretty good for a low end TV, it's their technology that is lacking.

    Worked for less than two months.

    This set only worked for less than two months before developing some issue with a "board" or some type, that was turning portions of the TV a bright red color. A Geek Squad person came out and was helpful, saying that some sort of board needs to be replaced. Okay, great. But I don't think a product from Best Buy or a company like Sharp should only work for about two months before starting to malfunction. The best solution would've been to send me a new set to replace this one immediately instead of having me go through the whole warranty thing. I'm not a happy camper about any of this. I was looking forward to watching the Super Bowl on this but obviously that's not going to happen.

    Do Not Buy

    One month and 20 days after purchase and set up the TV shut itself off and never came on again not even the red indicator light . It had problems loading and maintaining Netflix which could have been a Netflix issue. It would often shut itseelf off restart and get stuck in restart mode. Thankfully the manufacturers warranty is still valid. Wasted money on the Geek Squad Protection plan though. Next time I'll wait to purchase that. There was no dust on the back nothing spilled on or near it just would'nt come back on

    Brutal picture!

    I read the reviews which were mixed for calibration. I have a 60" Samsung 4K 8000 series tv. Thought a calibration would bring a great picture to a magnificent picture. The geek squad was there for about 90 minutes and he was thorough and went through every step, I was not seeing greatness! He calibrated in movie mode which to me is the worst picture mode. Everything was a faded color. He told me to give it a week...... I put it back to my settings in about 5 minutes. I was at least fortunate to have paid half price during a flash sale.

    Picture size?

    BEFORE I return it... its a 55 inch TV but with the grey bars above and below it's no bigger than my 40in TV. Only way to remove is to zoom but then you lose a lot of the picture. Is there a way to remove the bars and watch in regular full screen? The upper and lower part only show a picture when I'm in guide mode or switching channels. It's probably going back this weekend. I messed with the settings and it about to give up. May stop by store and ask questions but for the price it appears to have been too good to be true.

    Bought 2 and both broke down

    Gave 1 star cause I had to mark a star. When the tv worked I was happy with it. But that's the problem, WHEN it worked. The picture went out and had a blank screen about 5-6 months after i got get. Had it replaced with same tv. Just a lemon right? Wrong! The next one same thing no picture and no sound. It made it to 1 year and 5 months. The part/parts to fix it they don't make anymore ! That's enough for me 2 out off 2. No way I won't buy a Sharp again!

    Be craeful with this purchase...broke upon opening

    I have owned this TV for all of 3 hours. Opened the box and plugged the TV in and it had a large black area covering the entire upper right corner of screen, red and white vertical lines. TV was clearly defective, be careful what you waste your time getting in line on Black Friday for, a deal, might not always work out to be a deal. This was more a waste of time and a very poor in store experience to return the item. Customer Service was definitely not

    Difficult and freezes

    Tried this TV for about a week. It was very difficult to get the picture settings so that the whites werent completely washed out. Once I got one of the inputs looking normal, I turned to another input only to find out, I had to do all the settings all over again. Each and every channel requires the settings to be changed. On top of that, after day 3, it now freezes and restarts the TV at least once a day. Its getting returned tomorrow.

    Totally died

    I was originally so pleased with this TV. After about a year and half, I started to notice a dark horizontal bar across the top of the screen that got more and more noticeable. Then the screen went black all together. It turns on, I can push buttons on the remote and hear that it is responsive but there is no picture. Didn't even last two years.

    Dead pixel on opening, will update if I can replac

    Got the TV for black Friday. The TV itself is great. Picture looks really good, features are cool. I have a sound system hooked up so I don't know how good the speakers are. But the TV arrived with a dead pixel. If Best Buy has more and lets me swap it out and the new TV isn't also broken, I will update this review. Until then, it's a defective TV.

    Not a good choice

    Picture quality on this tv is ok, however the sound is horrible. Very hard to hear most programs especially sports. The announcer sounds muffled and crowd noise is very loud. Also appears to have an internal microphone issue as sound cuts out often. Am replacing with LG

    returned twice. stopped working spontaneously. they change start board and general board. same failure. they change the tv. the new one a week later turned the screen red . i returned it. i got my money back

    The IR sensor on the TV was defective upon first power up straight out of the box. Sharp customer support couldn't help and they recommended returning it to Best Buy. Unfortunately there wasn't another one available as a replacement.

    Brand new TV in sealed retail box - the remote didn't work! Replacement remote didn't work either, so must have been IR sensor within TV. Neither Sharp nor Best Buy could help resolve problem.
