    Great tv for the BF price

    I bought this tv for two reasons one was the price for $250 (w/tax $275) you won't find a 55 inch smart tv any cheaper. I also read the reviews based on this tv's 50inch model and the reviews overall were positive. Packaging was a breeze to get out. Set up not hard at all took a minute because I was setting up channels, and my network connection. Picture quality not the best on SD channels so try and avoid those channels if possible. HD channels were good but I seen better. For the price I would not only recommend the tv but would have bought another one if I had the need. I wish I could of rated the tv a high 3, low 4 in stars.

    Like several other reviews on here I thought the volume would have been higher than what it actually was. I would give it a vibrating across the board with the exception of the volume and the parental controls locks the entire television out. Unlike some of the other reviews I felt the only time the volume plays decently is through the HDMI cord all of the apps including Netflix have the super low volume. The volume is the only reason this TV gets a 3 of 5 stars. I will buy me a soundbar to go with this television. The only friend I would recommend this television to is the ones who are def and the volumes do not matter.

    Can't Adjust Sound Properly

    So it was a Black Friday deal. Got it for real cheap. TV works fine, not real fond of having to put in credit card information to get TV to work though! However, when watching movies you can barely hear the speech (literally turned up to 70 on the scale) and then when music plays it's so darn loud you have to turn it down. Then you have to turn it back up to hear people talk. There are no advanced sound options. There is an option for speech, while it made speech a little more dominant, there is no way to tone down the background noise. However, it's in a room we hardly use for viewing so we will just deal with it.

    Sound, Picture and Power ON

    I gave a 3 star mainly because of the sound quality, it is not great. However, I am planning on buying a surround sound system, which I hope that would make the sound much better. The picture was not as sharp as I wish and I attempted to reset the sound quality, but that did not make any difference. Every time, you power up, you must select where you wish to see. Ex: Regular TV, internet or cable. I really wish it would just power up on the previous mode when I power down. I recommend this TV for very young kids.

    Great quality . Poor sound

    The tv overall is great . Great quality, connects to the wifi, roku comes in handy, you can even connect your computer to the tv via wifi or Bluetooth but man does the sound on this tv suck. My iPhone has better sound than this . Most of the time I have to have it at 70 to be able to hear normal . Another thing Iv noticed is it starts lagging on Netflix after awhile. Not worth the price if you are going to end up buying a sound bar

    This was probably my favorite TV other than my 3D tv. Only issue is this one the screen started flashing after a few weeks. The ROKU integration was awesome. I took it to exchange it as I wanted anther one but they did not have any left. So I had to settle for another brand.

    I received this TV on Black Friday. It was awesome for the amount of money I paid. The sound could be a little bit better but what can you expect for $250? All I did was buy a soundbsr to fix that. The picture is almost perfect and the smart part works really well. Has trouble with connection to the internet but I changed the channel on my ip and it works fine now.

    We had an Igsinia 48 inch in our living room but went for Black Friday and got this 55 inch Sharp as an upgrade. I don't care for it at all and it really doesn't look any bigger. When you go to your menu it lags really bad. The speakers on it are not the greatest. You have to turn the volume to about 30-40 just to be able to hear it decently.

    The TV itself is nice with a clear view but within 6 months the LCD was broken. I have it up stairs in my FROG area and no one is ever up there but I went up one day just to be in a different area of the house and it was broken. I called Best buy to see if it could be repaired under warranty and of course the answer was NO!

    Sharply Different

    Sharp used to make good televisions, but they sold the TV brand to Hisense, so this is really a re-branded Hisense TV. It was on sale and it's worth what I paid, but it's not the Sharp quality I remember. The speakers are on the back, so if it's not mounted on a wall to reflect the sound, you will need a sound bar to hear clearly.

    Remote needs more features

    If i had to rate this t.v., i would give it a 7 out of 10. Overall picture and sound is pretty good. One thing i like is the set-up and capabilities of the menu. The biggest draw back is the limited remote features.It should have numbers 1- 9 and it would be better if i could change the 4 preset channels at the bottom of remote.

    The color is great

    The color is great and so was the price when I bought the TV. The down fault I am having with this TV is the volume problem, Sometimes its low and then it goes high by itself and have to shut the TV off and put it back on to have volume control again, happened 3 times already. If it happens again calling Geeksquad for repairs.

    We were happy to find a name brand product at such a low price. Got it home and set it up. Only downfall is the picture is very distorted when not pushing highdef content. Ill mess around with the settings and try to calibrate it but honestly i think thats the reason for it being on sale at such a low price.

    The 55" Television I purchased around Christmas was worth the price I paid for it. The speakers on the television are extremely weak considering the medium sized area I've installed it in but sufficient. The picture is very clear even from a distance.

    Great picture, menu design is awesome but the Roku remote is just terrible and so small. I have a 18 month old do you know how easy it is for her to hide that sucker. And to work the remote when you have to enter passwords and usernames is a pain

    Cartoons look great and my son love the tv. However, I have several HD channels for viewing and clarity is not the best. I have a smaller tv from another competitor that the images look better. It's not best but it's not worst either.

    Great price, great picture BUT....the plug and play feature for audio is a nightmare!!! Finally had to call customer service who also had to call for assistance. The audio theatre works now but it took forever to figure out.

    The only issue I have with this tv is the remote. Its small and does not have numbers so the I can put in the channel I want. I have to press the button up or down in order to get to the channel I want.

    Like the Roku. Very hard to turn on with the remote. Spoke to sharp tech staff and was told I would get a new remote. However the remote is coming from Best Buy parts and they keep putting it off.
