Overall a really good large screen television for the price. Great picture quality. We have it in our basement and the speakers are decent enough. The remote is kind of cheap, but you could always upgrade with an universal remote if needed.

1st let me say for the money this tv is great. Watching hd shows and sporting events is awesome. For some reason when watching movies on premium movie channels I sometimes get that back tracking or flutter in the picture. I do wish there were more features/options in the menu. The digital audio out only works with non hdmi inputs, which means you need an hdmi pass thru reciecer for surround sound or have to run your audio from your component/cable box separate. I tried this and for very frustrated because I was able to notice a delay (lips not matching words) so now in the market for pass thru receiver. Lastly there are no current codes to set up on a universal remote so your stuck having to turn the set on and off with the supplied one.

We purchased this television about a month ago and was very apprehensive after reading the reviews. We knew we had 15 days to return it, so we gave it a try. As soon as we hooked it up, we made the recommended adjustments to the picture setting from previous reviews and as a result have seen no issues with the picture as far as color and motion blur. We did purchase a sound bar since a lot of reviews were complaining about the sound, but considered returning it because the sound was perfectly normal without the soundbar. Also we could not hook the sound bar to the television using the supplied optical cable nor could we use an HDMI hookup for the soundbar since the television does not have either hookup available (for sound purposes only), this is my only complaint, but we just hooked the soundbar to our satellite box and that worked just as well. Overall the television met our expectations and after 15 days we decided to keep it and are still enjoying it. Please remember that this is not a high dollar television as the price reflects and if you are wanting the best features available, you will need to pay for them. This is a great television for the price range.

Good basic TV, but some audio connection issues

I purchased this tv looking for an inexpensive 60" TV (edge-lit LED). I didn't require a smart TV, but wanted to emphasize picture and reliability. I purchased this TV for about $750 + tax, and chose it over the 60" Vizio smart TV priced at about $800 (mainly because of reliability issues mentioned in various reviews). In general, the picture has been fine - I've worked with the various adjustments and haven't had some of the issues that other reviewers have mentioned. My biggest complaints concern the limited audio outputs. The first is that the only external audio output connection is a digital coax, which didn't match the optical inputs on my current sound bar. I found an adapter on Amazon that converted from one to the other; it works well, but cuts into any savings on the TV. The second is that audio coming in through the HDMI inputs can only be heard through the TV's speakers; it isn't sent to the TV's digital coax output (mentioned above). The fix for this apparently is to buy a receiver with HDMI I/O for any HDMI devices (Chromecast, etc.), and use it to output the sound. I really didn't see that one coming. This will probably give better sound than a sound bar anyway, but I'm pretty sure any money I saved on the TV will eventually be in my sound system.

Bought this TV 2/1/14 without knowing too much about the technical components that comes on the TV. I had purchased a Vizio 55" smart TV 2 weeks before and had issues with the TV having a bad picture from the factory so we thought this would be s better buy. I bought a Bose Cinemate GS II speaker system a week later and I have had to purchase numerous converters to get it to work thru the TV instead of the cable box. After spending a week of going to Best Buy and purchasing cables to try to get the Bose to work thru the TV I called Best Buy to see if I could bring the TV back and purchase a more expensive TV with the component input and outputs I needed. It had been 20 days and I explained that I spent the last week visiting the store to try to get this system to work and that I had all the original box and packaging but they would not take the TV back saying that is was more than a day or 2 after the 15 day return policy even though the Best Buy employees kept selling me cables and converters saying that was all I needed. I am usually pretty happy with my experiences at Best Buy, but they have pushed me to definitely look elsewhere that would provide better customer service after the sale.

Purchased this television less than a month ago. So far it is excellent. Maybe a little to soon to tell but we are pleased. We watch a great deal of movies both from DVDs and netflix and the picture each time is great. Its a big television with a great deal of features. We even attached the Xbox to play video games and the picture looks so vivid. Would recommend to anyone.

If you have the room that fits this TV, it is a good affordable choice. It has a clear picture, however, skin tones can appear a little pasty. HD channels are obviously better. I would recommend this TV to a friend, but also recommend comparing to other brands or options.

This TV is great! It was set up above a fireplace mantle, and looks fantastic. The picture quality is excellent. It was easy to set up, and the price was reasonable. The only thing I changed about it was the remote control; I consolidated and now use a universal controller.

This TV was on sale, and so we purchased it for our new apartment. It was the perfect size and at a good price. The picture quality is great, but the fact that we cannot put sound out to our surround system while HDMI is in, is a pain. Otherwise great TV.

After doing my research, this model came up with the right combination of price, size, features, number of connections. It has a good picture - don't compare it to a +$1500 TV but among comparable sets is pretty good. HD movies and OTA TV looks great in this set. Sound is good unless you want movie theater experience, but that should be expected. Only issue I have seen is that the colors look bleached when you look at the screen at an angle (my 6-year old 37in Aquos does not do that). Maybe is an LED vs fluorescent limitation?. Not an issue as I only noticed when I walk out or back into the room. In the end, for the price it is a good buy.

We bought this just in time for the Superbowl simply by looking at the Sunday ad. Because of the price, we did not expect much and were pleasantly surprised. The sports look awesome and the movies are outstanding. It feels like we are on the set. This replaced another 60 inch for us that wore out and this one so far surpasses it only 4 years later. Very pleased. We think the price is low because the Smart TV's have just come out.

This is a really good tv. Great picture. Good for watching movies and playing game. Haven't noticed any video or audio lag when playing games on xbox or when connected to pc over hdmi. The only flaw is that there is no RCA audio output. You have to use the headphone jack or a digital audio output. The headphone jack does not have the clearest sound at some points, not terrible though. Overall a good tv.

Bought this tv because it looked better that most 60" tvs in the 3 stores I saw them in. At home still a nice picture and the sound is ok but you will need more than likely hook it up to a sound system if you want to look at movies with it as I do. Great tv for the price but there are better out there. Could not hook up my Bose to this tv as not a digital hookup in back and had to hook up to Blueray. Really not bad for price though.

Saw an add on tv about this product. Nice price point. My wife let me actually order it ! Arrived earlier than shipping estimate. Had to get a new stand because the one I had would not carry the weight. That was ok though. After setup it has an excellent picture and ok sound. Headphone connection good for not disturbing wife sometimes. I am very happy with this purchase.

For the price, you cant even find a lower name brand for less. Picture quality was a little low out the box, but just needed to take some time to adjust it to your preference. But when you play bluerays it looks great. No need for a smart tv since I own devices that that are internet capable and connect via hdmi.
