I haven't tried most of the specialty buttons, but they're easier to use than the ones in my previous microwave (also Sharp). My only criticism is the ridiculously short cord. It won't reach from the microwave on a cabinet to an outlet directly beneath it.

Excellent, improve functionality

Sharp could improve functionality by letting the pad register number of seconds you want something to heat, without having to hit the "time cook" button first. My previous Sharp microwave had that feature.

The button process is a very different thing from the old microwave and it is really easy after figuring it out that just a single number turns it into minutes with out you having to put in the entire thing.

Great Microwave

She loves this new unit, as it heats things up faster and it's pretty quiet. She also likes the simple operation and the large black numbers on white make it easy for her to read with poor vision.

It lights up while cooking, so there is a bulb, but you can't see in it when placing the food inside. Otherwise it is fine. The control panel buttons are arranged in a logical sequence, and the popcorn button makes good popcorn!

The price was comparable to other retailers (Walmart) but the delivery was much faster and the the Sharpe microwave is great, better than I expected for the price. I couldn't be happier.
