Inability to use it for seconds, not just minutes!

You cannot punch in anything for 15 seconds, etc. My granddaughter put it on 8, thinking it was 8 seconds, and punching in 8 actually means 8 minutes, not seconds! This is the first microwave I have ever had that did this and no one else I know has a microwave with this feature. I hate it! I just now found out that this microwave will not let me cook something for 10 minutes and up! I've tried everything! All my experience so far has been with defrost and heating something for only a couple of minutes. Now it is too late to return it according to my online order receipt! I am going to try to contact the manufacturer because this has to be a malfunction of the machine. I'm pretty upset since I paid $120 for this. Other than that, it heats coffee up well and does a good job of defrosting and defrosts very evenly.

In regards to entering your own time you will need to first press the time cook pad, select the power level and needed and enter the time needed and press start.
