Needed a small microwave and this was the best one for a low price.

I purchased this microwave, because it has the touch pad functions I want and it's black, which is the color I need. It's a really nice microwave and highly recommended for anyone who doesn't share the concerns I have about it. In my case, it was unworkable because the only way to open it is to pull the handle, I found it has too much resistance when pulling the door open. I need appliances that put less stress on joints, etc. So, if that issue is a consideration for you, I suggest getting a microwave that opens more easily.

Love this microwave, works great and is big on inside, but size is compact, just what we wanted.

I bought a Sharp Carousel microwave (in white) in 2001. It recently died so i bought another one. The operation of this updated one is perfectly fine. However, the older version seemed more "solid". When i close the door this one sounds "tinny". The old one made a nice solid "thunk". Much like the solid sound the door on a better car makes compared to a cheap one. Bummer

I have been thrilled with our new Sharp microwave. It's simple to use, extremely easy to clean, and provides consistent results. It has the best popcorn popping feature of any microwave that we've owned + many other easy to use features such as, different defrost options, a variety of sensor cook settings, and even a beverage setting.

Other microwaves with comparable features will cost you more. Seems solidly built. Decent cooking chamber size. Sensor cook, beverage, ssensor or timed defrost, reheat. As other reviewers have noted, it can be loud at times, but I don't think it would wake anyone up.

We absolutely love this microwave! I like the handle on it as our old microwave did not have a handle. I like the inside of it as it is not white as our old one was - this is much better! I like the size also. It is such a good microwave, no one would be disappointed! It arrived here fast and well packed.

Price paid including tax $150.87. Super nice microwave. Previous Sharp lasted 15 years so I figured to stay with this brand. Absolutely no issue with the door being hard to open or the unit sliding on counter as others have said. Nice black stainless color and I like the handle i/o the push button to open. 30-sec button gets alot of use. Haven't really tried the moisture sensor heating yet although it sounds good for re-heating. More counter space now since previous unit was much larger. But lettering is smaller so its harder to read.

Great and simple. My only gripe is that it slides around the counter when I open and close the door....just have to get some kind of grippy pads that work to stick under it and should be good to go.
