This is more complicated for using just the kitchen timer. Also, my other one would notify me when the time was up and ring until it shut off. With this one, it "dings" just one time. If I'm not in the room, I don't hear it (and sometimes forget I had something in there).

You must first touch the button "cook time" before entering the time. The cook button is in the middle the panel so it is not easy to find. The start is not at the bottom so it also is not as intuitive as others we've had. All buttons are the same size.

Got one delivered... door didn't line up, and corner dented. Ordered another one, waited to return the first until I could pick up the replacement. Went to get the replacement a week later, opened the box in the parking lot. Also dented on the back corner. Ordered a third and had to wait another week-and-a-half.

When it is in operation the sound is much louder than any other microwave I've ever had and I've had two other Sharps. On the plus side, the controls are intuitive and it is attractive, but I returned it because of the noise.
