(I only had for 2-3 months). After a certain date, the microwaves were not manufactured to last. They all crapped out on me in a short period of time, (1-3 years). I bought GE, Panasonic, and Kenmore brands before, and they all did not last very long, because everything is now manufactured in China. Years ago, when microwaves were made to last, I had both a Sharp brand and Quasar brand, that both lasted 16 - 17 years, so I just decided to try a Sharp brand again. As far as cooking functions, (evenness, ease of use, etc), it is not as good as the "fancy" Panasonic and GE ones, I tried before, with inverted V technology. However, the Panasonic conked out after less than a year, and the GE, in less than 2 years. Right now, I am looking for a microwave, that will last a long time, like the old ones did, before everything was manufactured in China.

Inconsistent performance.

The first one had a severely misaligned door - how it made it through QC is beyond me. Best Buy was great about exchanging it - thanks BB! Performance is VERY inconsistent. Identical meals in identical containers may come out raw or burnt using the same settings. Sensor function is the worst - I've had potatoes come out perfect and potatoes that actually caught fire using sensor cook. Heating is very uneven - cold spots and too hot in the same food. Microwaves back in the 1980s did a better job of heating evenly. Even the turntable is inconsistent - it jerks around in fits and starts.

It’s the newest version of our old 2007 model that just gave out. Sharp products are easy to maintain, they are reliable and last a very long time.

Had a Panasonic microwave which leaked radiation and operated lights in a furniture piece 26 feet away. After testing and leakage was 1, when allowable spec was 5, Panasonic said tough. Best Buy was good enough to take it back. Will never purchase another Panasonic product.
