Purchased microwave as gift for Xmas. Normally just use for reheating food. In March decided to use number 5 and would not work. Tried 67890 and found out they did not work either. Called Best Buy. They said 2 week warranty. Tried to contact Sharp and no reply. Due to covid 19 No one seems to be able to help with this terrible microwave. I just want to replace it for something that works.

Defect with microwave

Never got to try the microwave. UPS driver dropped (threw?) it on our porch. House shook very badly that I went outside. He had another package for us and got that. I said boy the house shock when you delivered the microwave. He just looked at me.
My husband has a heart ICD and he was told not to be near microwaves. I called Best Buy to ask for new microwave. I was asked if the microwave was new. I said we just got and I have not used it. Was told to call Sharp. I did and person asked if door was straight etc. When I ran my finger under the door I could feel it was not lined up straight across the bottom and there was a drop of about 1/4 inch. I was told it was a concealed defect and I should return it to Best Buy. I did that. Told them a defect. I did not see the person make note of it. I hope Best Buy has not put that microwave back on the floor to sell.

This is a review for my experience with Best Buy: Needed a microwave sooner than later and the Sharp 2.2 cu ft. microwave was listed immediately available as an "Open Box - Excellent Condition". (Note: Only 8 dollars cheaper than if purchased new). I would have ordered new, price was not a concern, but item would not be available for a week or more. After unpacking the microwave, found that the door hung slightly lower on the right side, the plastic covering to be removed before use was stuck to the oven and was impossible to peel off, and the ring to the carousel was broken. Very disappointed - it was not even close to being in "excellent condition" :(

We have used Sharp microwaves for years. Our last on lasted over 15 years, so we were looking for another Sharp. Tus one seemed to have most things we were interested in except sensor popcorn setting. As we continued to use it, the unit would sometime overcook and other times undercook. we kept having to adjust the time by another minute or more. We returned the Sharp microwave and are looking for another one.

Had a massive dent in the top - like a good 3/4" dent. The materials looked really cheap. Most wasn't even stainless steel. It was soooo bright, more silver than stainless steel. Returned it.

Disappointing. Seemed to transition to a reduced power mode on its own that you could not get out of. The door window would also condense up with moisture if cooking anything longer than 3 or 4 minutes.

This microwave I would have to put a bowl of food in there for a minute and a half before it even start getting hot it's a piece of crap so I went and traded it out for a smaller model now food is done like 45 seconds nice and hot cup of coffee a minute and a half nice and hot

This was purchased as an "open box, excellent condition" The box was in shreds, which i didn’t mind, but it didn’t work. Heated up one item and then would not power on again. Also door would not latch correctly. Checked breaker which was not tripped. Will return. Reordered same model but not open box so hopefully this one will work.

This microwave started smoking during the first 9 months of use. Sharp replaced it. 15 months later, the replacement stopped heating. Sharp offered to sell me another one at half price. I refused. This thing is a piece of junk and I will never buy a Sharp product again.

Nice unit - Cannot turn off the beeper

Really like the unit. However, there is no way to mute or turn off the beeper and it is really loud. Finally called Sharp to verify and there is no way to mute or turn it off. Really a shame. We will be returning the unit - it's that annoying.
