I use to use my debit card at the gas station to get the 10 cent discounts but after someone tried to use my debit card information to buy things I now drive to my Best Buy and purchase my gift cards so I can get points at Best Buy and save the 10 cents at the pump along with not having to swipe my debit card at the pump.

Used it as soon as I received it. Had troubles with gas station attendant trying to pay two times for two different cars, I guess he thought I stole it although I provided proof many times.

Having a Shell gift card on hand is an excellent thing to have. Safe because, if you're low on gas And money, the gift card is there at the right time. Or if you have a teenager/young adult that is now driving the family truckster, give them a card so they will hopefully remember to fill up the gas tank before they come home as they'll have no excuse not to!

I buy a lot of gift cards. I find this is the easiest way to give a gift for the holiday's & birthday's. My older kids aways like a free fill up. They are away at college and I just like to send a little gas card along with Birthday or Christmas gift.

For those worried about getting your card number stolen at the pump, this is a great way around that. These a super convenient. Only thing i will say is I was unable to use it at the pump, so had to go inside and have the clerk run the card.
